Henley was not my favorite. Valet parking although validated was an additional $3. The menu is somewhat limited. Only two beef dishes, Skirt Steak for $26, or a dry aged monster Ribeye for $54. The Skirt was not tender. Not your choice if anyone in the party is seeking beef. The service was questionable, the waitress almost seemed to be on something. Strong communication was not present. It was still Happy Hour, but you could only have the pricing if you got it yourself at the bar. The bar was 4' from our table. The Manager was the bright spark. For the quality of the hotel, the restaurant is not holding up to the standard.
Delicious meal! The Mac&Cheese is excellent! Gooey butter cake with apples was phenomenal!
My wife fell in love with the decor of the restaurant. Decor seems to make a huge difference in the enjoyment of a restaurant for women. Just an observation. For me, the specialty cocktails were outstanding. Very complex. Our server was exactly what you would want. Friendly, engaging with good recommendations based on our preferences. The autumn squash soup was fantastic. We both had the burgers because they were recommended. They were very good indeed. *NOTE: Valet for the restaurant is at the entrance to the Aertson Hotel. It is $3 'after' validation with the hostess. Not bad for Nashville.
My husband and I visited Henley prior to attending a concert at the Ryman. It was a Monday evening and the restaurant was almost empty. There was no hostess at the front door to greet us upon arrival. Our greet time from a server was quite long. We let our server know it was our first time at Henley, however she did not offer any suggestions or back story about the restaurant. There also seemed to be confusion over the Manhattan happy hour special.
We ordered the skirt steak & grouper which were both very good dishes. The potato chowder that the grouper sat in was a little soupy. Would have liked a more substantial base. Several times throughout dinner our server seemed to disappear. We were her only table so service could have been more attentive. Also, I ordered a glass of wine to find out they were out of stock but was charged anyway.
Not an awful experience, but not a standout experience I was hoping for given reviews I have seen. Don't know if we will return in the near future.
Hands down the best Chicken I ever ate!
Our sides came out before our entrees and all the entrees were lukewarm. The flavor was excellent and we enjoyed our meal overall.
Terrific atmosphere. Food and service were excellent. We will be back!
Great atmosphere and great food
Our Henley experience was exceptional! Danielle was an amazing waitress who knew so much about the menu and gave awesome recommendations. The food was incredible as were the cocktails. The vibe is super cool too. You won’t be disappointed!!
There were 4 of us and our meals came out at three different times. The two of us that got served first, our food was cold by the time the last person in our party got served.
Food and wait staff were top flight. Our only complaint is the seating configuration for parties of two places you too close to other diners. There are four tables where there should be three.
Fun, contemporary atmosphere. Amazing service and excellent food.
This was my first time going to Henley. We went for a casual brunch. All three of us are local and we tend to do the same place for brunch. The food and drinks were so good. The service was awesome. We were in no rush at all and they let us just take our time. Didn’t make us feel like they were trying to run us off. 10/10! We used Uber to get there and I would suggest asking your driver to pull up to valet to drop you off. It’s just very busy in that part of town. Overall, very beautiful and very tasty. Go to Henley!
I’m giving this place a break because it’s new. Food was okay. It wasn’t bad but it just wasn’t anything special. The service was not that great either but again, it’s a new restaurant so I’ll give them a break.
I had the breakfast burrito and it was just ok. I wanted more eggs and cheese in my burrito but it was mostly potatoes. The espresso martini and old fashioned were both excellent. I would come back here and try something else on the menu.
Excellent food and service was impeccable.
This was our third visit to Henley and the first two times WERE excellent but this was just an off night I think: 3 out of the 4 dishes we ordered were hugely over-salted and we had the misfortune of a super loud dude just behind us at the bar trying to get lucky as the apparent 3rd wheel. Normally they'd check with us on how the food came out but didn't happen this time.
We'll be back but not for a bit. Still give it a try! They do magical things in the kitchen and manage to make ingredients we're normally not big fans of really shine. Excellent balance and layering of flavors is their normal thing but that was lost in the brine during our last visit.
I loved it my server was great and very informative the cocktails were so good!
Love Henley. The cocktails are inventive and delicious, and the food’s always excellent. Moreover, the wait staff is experienced and knowledgeable— a rare commodity these days in Nashville.
We loved Henley. The food was amazing and the decor was beautiful. We ordered a burger, the duck confit and soups. I wish we had ordered more because it was all so great. My only minor complaint was that we had a reservation and still had to wait to be seated. Worth a visit!
We waited for 50 minutes and never got our food, including an appetizer we ordered. We ended up leaving. The service was TERRIBLE.
Fpod and service were both very good. Will go back.
It was the saltiest meal I’ve ever eaten, nothing that hit our table was enjoyed with the exception of the drinks. Our server was fantastic, but we left feeling hungry and disappointed in the ridiculous amount of money we spent.
They were out of items on the menu. Very noises. Server - Brian was horrible. Would not go back.
Amazing service and food! Everything from being warmly welcomed by the hostess to the excellent service, wine and delicious food was top-notch!! We will be back!
Food is ok some kind of fusion. Portions are small for the price you are paying and the type of food you are eating.
Ambience is cool. Service was good.
5 stars! Our server Sadie was very attentive and professional. We enjoyed our food and the restaurant’s ambiance.
This remains a favorite dining out spot for us. They take some creative risks with reinterpretations of southern fare. Sometimes these surprise and delight. For instance, the Tasso ham spring roll is a spectacular mashup with unctuous strips of Tasso ham and some diced chili’s (Poblano’s?) tucked in for a bit of kick encased in a hot, deep fried, crunchy roll. Delicious! You won’t look at an Asian Spring roll in quite the same way ever again. Or take the grouper baked to pillowy perfection and floated atop a chowder made from smoked grouper stock, potatoes, and cream. Lick the bowl good. Sides and mains that could be sides support. Bok Choy and mushrooms, predictably good, and the rice with andouille sausage would satisfy as a main. But there were misses as well although we think we get what the chef is aiming for. It’s just that duck confit (deliciously prepared in house) does not lend itself well to a chicken and dumplings dish. Flavors don’t meld as they would with chicken. Confit cut up and served in hand pies though (a previous take) brilliant. Searing a pork shoulder like a steak borders on a criminal insult to meat which is best slow cooked until it is unctuous, tender, and falling apart, not tough and tight even though smokey. A couple of misses in an otherwise fabulous dining experience with great cocktails, a killer chocolate soufflé with a peanut butter creme sauce. The place was packed on a Thursday, but service was friendly and efficient. Still a favorite in our book, experimentation and all. Decent wine list, coffee and espresso drinks robust.
Food was excellent. Server was very nice but too busy to be attentive. Waited 30 minutes even though we had a reservation. Short staffed . . .
Great service, high quality food and fantastic craft cocktails.
Always on the hunt for new brunch locales & Henley did not disappoint. The pumpkin French toast sticks were ridiculously delicious. Portion size is great. My boyfriend & I split the French Toast Sticks & the burger ...we left stuffed! The guitar players on Sunday had a French jazz vibe & it was the perfect setting for a pre-shopping brunch.
Service was a bit slow for a brunch but everything was absolutely delicious. Such a great place!
The pumpkin french toast is amazing!!!
Portions were so small, prices were high for the portion size. Service was terrible, it wasn’t busy and it took 50 minutes to get food, and had a hard time getting the check and any refills on drinks.
Food was very good, innovative and fresh. Service became a night mare after the apps were served. They did attempt to make up for it by bringing warm rolls and butter as well as two glasses of Pinot Noir. Nevertheless it became a stressful over 2 hours meal since we have Opry tix that night...sad but true.
Delicious food, pleasant and professional wait staff, nice ambiance
The food snd drinks were amazing, and the waiter provided top notch service throughout the meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a lovely evening out.
Everything from the decor to the food was delicious, we did wait a little longer for our beverages (including water). But other than that, everything was wonderful! We even brought our 8-month-old baby to dinner with friends, and everyone was very accommodating to our needs!
Creative menu, great bar, and excellent service! Seat at the bar netted new friends
The worst food I’ve paid for - ever. Four guests, three courses and not a good word to say about a single dish. Extraordinary that this place is still open.
