The food was amazing, the service was beyond terrible. The four of us were all in agreement, and we are not “those kind of people”.
Do NOT skip the mussels. Everything about this place is amazing.
We had a birthday cake and a special request for a quiet table, and Henley went out of their way to accommodate us. The service was phenomenal and we felt very taken care of! Food and drinks at Henley are always delicious, too.
Great service. Tasty appetizers and sides. Entrees were ok but not spectacular.
Went for a special occasion, horrendously overpriced and awkward. The food was seriously average. The only redeeming quality was the decoration and ambiance. Disappointing.
Great, great food. We had the scallops which were better than I have ever eaten. Friendly and efficient waiter and great food from the salad, rolls and main course.
Benjamin the, lead bartender, is amazing! Best cocktails in Nashville. If you like bourbon, he is your man to see. Highly recommend going to see him at the bar!!
Food was a bit dry
Reserved this for Mother's Day. Was our 4th visit to the restaurant and was a surprise how disappointing. Service was poor - had to flag down staff just to get waters, cutlery, coffee - 3 separate times. Food quality has declined. I know many restaurants are short staffed these days - but then don't take reservations if you cannot support them. I won't ever be going back.
We had a lovely evening at Henley’s. Food and service was wonderful.
The appetizers and drinks were amazing, but the entrees were over-hyped by our server and all lacked seasoning. My friend got the brisket (waiter called it the “best thing on the menu”) and could barely finish, another friend got the pork belly and it didn’t seem like there was any salt at all. My fiancé had the hanger steak, which had a good flavor but was an incredibly small portion and the accompaniments were bland. I had the bouillabaisse, the flavor was okay but there was no broth and I didn’t receive the bread that was in the meal description.
Made a brunch reservation for my wife’s birthday. The request: Upscale restaurant that served biscuits and gravy. We showed up, no host to be found. Had to go find someone. Once seated, our server couldn’t possibly have made it more obvious that she didn’t really want to be there. Ordered a hot tea. They were out of tea. Okay, no big deal. Time to order food. Ordered biscuits and gravy. “We’re out of biscuits and gravy.” It was 10 AM on a Sunday and there was only one other family seated in the restaurant, and you’re “out”? Hardly. After being told they were out of or didn’t have other things we asked for, we finally got food ordered. Food took over 30 mins. Once food arrived, most everything was good. My daughters bowl of yogurt that we were assured was “vanilla” and not plain, ended up being plain. She wouldn’t eat it, but at that point we just wanted out of there. Worst birthday brunch ever, and I feel awful as I’m the one who made the reservation for my wife’s birthday. Won’t be back to this place. And no surprise it was empty.
We were there for breakfast. We sat in their outdoor area which was nice. The service was very slow. I finally had to get up and ask another waiter for the check. The food was below average. The avocado toast was a tiny portion. And was low quality. We ordered cheese grits and they were out of them. The quiche was ok , good crust but it was extremely salty.
It was great! We were celebrating being fully vaccinated. Can’t wait to come back for brunch
Excellent food and even better service!
Cute place! The service was extraordinary, staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was a little over priced, but good nonetheless. The drinks were very good! I'd go for the drinks alone next time I'm in Nashville.
Worth every penny
Nice clean vibe and looks great on line. Unfortunately, my pasta had water in the bowl ( quite a bit)and was super bland. Three of us ordered the pasta and we all needed salt. ( ugh...always bad when you have to ask for salt). There was absolutely no flavor. One friend ordered the chicken and felt sick after dinner that evening... she also used the salt. In all fairness, I am vegan( only one at table) so they had to modify my pasta. Mine was the only pasta with the super watery pasta. Will NOT go back and all five of us had a bland/bad meal. Worst meal I’ve had in Nashville.
The host was great who seated us. The waiter was a little awkward, fine but like he didn't want to be there. Scallops were really good. overall it was just ok.
They do not valet park for $3 as mentioned on here. Restaurant is a cool venue. Food is average.
Excellent breakfast. The house made sausage is excellent. Eggs cooked perfectly. Tasty coffee.
Everything here is great, but the tartar and burger are incredible. They use Dolin vermouth if you like martini's, and the scallops and grits are stellar.
This place is fantastic. The ambience is amazing. The cocktails are fantastic. The food is out of this world. We have been extremely pleased on each visit!
Phenomenal dining experience with Matthew taking care of us at Henley. A few minor details that kept the whole experience from being a 10/10, but a 9.7 well worth the money that we will definitely look to again when we’re back in Nashville.
-Cocktails: I had a bourbon-based drink resembling an up Old Fashioned; incredible. Our host was kind enough to suggest a mocktail for a non-drinker in our party and she was very pleased with it (and the inclusive gesture was much appreciated).
-Food: I had the duck with gnocchi. So often duck confit can just be too salty and fatty for me to enjoy it, so I was hesitant. This was perfectly balanced, and the tomatoes provided a nice pop of acid that played beautifully with the sauce and duck.
The sorghum rolls are not to be missed, especially if you’re getting the duck to sop up the sauce and make a little bun/sandwich that’s heavenly. Our whole table raved about their entrees.
Two very minor areas for improvement:
- it took about 13-15 minutes for a server to address our table after we sat down. Not a huge deal, but there was a bit of awkward flagging down, being assured someone would get to us, then watching people walk by the table.
- a few cocktails at the table were watery. My wife ordered a highball that I encouraged her to send back as it had clearly been sitting for some time before it got to her.
We’ll definitely be back. The staff are clearly passionate about the ingredients sourced, and we got a nice explanation of inspiration for the decor and tableware choices. All in, a great experience!
We visited a 5 Star, Michelin Star restaurant the evening before and Henley was so much better! The food was delicious - try the beef tartare. You will not be disappointed. We will eat there every time we come to Nashville.
A reliable classy local joint.
The restaurant had a very strong fish smell - very bad acoustics
waiter great food was fair
great choice for cocktails and dependable continental food
Unique Menu! Skirt Steak and Scallops were great! Duck and Dumplings too! Spot on service!
Great food knowledgeable server. A+ would definitely recommend.
Very slow service and kitchen due to lack of staff. Food was great but was cold when served. We had to wait 20 min for our table. They should’ve accepted all the reservations. Very loud. The server was great.
This is a great spot with delicious cocktails. Highly recommend.
I had the duck and dumplings and it was wildly delicious. The aesthetic in this place is so beautiful but still so comfortable. All of the staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely return and highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice evening out.
Didn’t try too many drinks, which I heard they were known for, but the food was divine. Highly recommend the duck confit.
Came for the Bear Creek beef tartare and stayed for the gemelli. Cocktails and wine selections are always on point!
Nice place near Vanderbilt campus. Scallops and Grits dish was excellent.
Loved the brunch!
We had a really nice experience at Henley. Food was very good, service was great, space is really well done. Would go back without question.
The service was amazing
