Food was amazing, ambience great, service top notch. Music however too loud and distracting. Overall enjoyed Henley but please work on the right music level. We couldn’t hear our server, we couldn’t hear each other. We did request the music be turned down and they turned it down a bit. But it was just off for a restaurant of this caliber. We will return however!!!
Waited for 20 mins to be seated with reservations. Server did not take drink order for another 20 mins after being seated
The restaurant decor is artfully refreshing, our server was wonderful, the food was delicious. The noise in the restaurant was slightly more than energetic for the majority of the time we were there, making conversation a bit difficult. Definitely returning though.
Great meal. Loud though
Came in for a joint birthday and had an awesome experience! The spring rolls were the table favorite, but everything we ordered was great. We’ll be back for sure.
Went for Sunday brunch. Jazz guitar music was quite nice. Ambiance was good. Wait staff very courteous, but not super attentive. Food was good. Unfortunately, our order was given to another guest which made our wait a bit long. Will try another time to see how it goes.
The food was amazing! Everything had so much flavor and just got better with every bite! On the apps the southern spring roll and the hush puppies were so different I would highly recommend, especially the rolls. I had the duck & dumplings which I can’t stop thinking about how complex, unique and incredible it was and I can’t wait to go back! One of the best meals I have had in a long time and I will 100 % being going back! Plus I have to also say thank you to the staff fro taking care of us even though we were later than expected after the show at the Ryman ran over. Even though we said we didn’t want to keep them they insisted we stay, were friendly and gave us top notch service.
This was our second visit, but years apart so it felt like a new experience. We didn’t like the table they had chosen for us and asked to move. They were gracious and gave us another table of our preference.
The Tasso ham spring rolls were creative and excellent.
The duck confit gnocchi was outstanding in texture, flavor and pairing of ingredients.
The broccoli salad lived up to its claim.
The most outstanding part of our dinner was our waitress Sadie. She is a true professional. With so many new restaurants popping up in town, it is difficult to find professionals that know how to pour wine to coordinate with the consumption and coursing of meal guests order. Most often, the wine is over poured to where they ask you if you want another bottle. Sadie poured perfectly and with great precision. These are the marks of a great restaurant versus a good one.
We weren’t just out to dinner. We were seeking an adventure and an experience that paralleled the quality and creativity of the food. We were not disappointed! Thank you for a memorable evening.
Had a fantastic date night while visiting from out of town. It was one of our most memorable meals - great ambiance, food, and drink options. The staff was very attentive, and the atmosphere is chic and insta worthy.
The food was good ad the service was quick but the server forgot to mention that there was a chocolate soufflé on the menu that needed to ordered 20 minutes a head of time. The other desserts did not appeal to us so we left without dessert.
One of the best dining experiences we've had in a minute. Great introduction to Nashville! Amazing for drinks, dinner, and breakfast too!!!
Had very good cocktails (loved the Manhattan cart) and meals. The lobster Mac and cheese we shared was a standout with big chunks of lobster. Two members of our party had the shrimp and grits and loved it. The grouper special was also great. I had the scallops, which were good, but I thought the sauce detracted from the sweetness of the scallops. We all enjoyed the ambience...hip yet sophisticated...and the service was right on. We will be back.
The food wasn’t great and was cold.
We had a great experience. Dined at Henley for New Years Eve and could not have been happier. Amazing cocktails, amazing food, and our server, Wells, was friendly and “on it”. A great meal and a great time.
Appetizers were great, but the menu had a choose your own manhattan (choose from three bourbons and three vermouths) cart. The problem with this was that they were out of 2 of the three bourbons advertised on the menu, substituting them with definitively inferior ones. The entrees were good, but not great. The pork shoulder in particular lacked any complexity. If I am going to pay that kind of money for dinner, I expect to be wowed. I was not.
The food had really interesting combinations but were all to die for. The sides and the duck were the highlights of the night, followed closely by the delicious cocktails ❤️
Great meal, great service and beautiful restaurant.
Had the set menu on Christmas and was very underwhelmed. The food was mediocre and the portions tiny. Not worth the steep price
It was wonderful a few years ago with it’s Christmas Day tasting menu. It has become a little family style eating now for that day. Which is ok, but it’s a shame that it no longer has that as the chef is so much more capable than what’s on offer. Still worth a visit.
Terrible service. Food mediocre. It was Christmas but should have been much better for the price.
The staff were very hospitable, the food was delicious - as were the cocktails, and we really enjoyed the relaxed and friendly atmosphere on Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
Everything was just ok. Nothing that stood out for amounted to a $180 meal. Lots of small things that made the bill add up.
My wife and I dined at Henleys for the 5th or 6th. This really is a great restaurant. Their attention to detail, service, cocktail creativity, and food presentation is the best we have seen. The Chef is very inventive and the taste of the food is always spectacular. We look forward to our next visit.
This was hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Not a single bite disappointed. Thank you to everyone for making our anniversary so special.
Awesome experience! We had a great time, amazing food, great service, and great drinks!
Fabulous food and wine wonderful service. And but expensive
Yummy espresso martinis and $20 Prosecco on Sunday brunch
Brunch was Fantastic! The pumpkin bread French toast sticks were divine and a truly unique brunch appetizer. Eggs Benedict was a winner also.
Went there for dinner with friends. Dinner and drinks were good! Would definitely recommend.
Drinks from the bar were poor and significantly overpriced. The food was mediocre and not worth the price and the dining area is nothing but an extension of the bar area. It was very noisy and anything but a relaxing fine dining experience.
Cocktails were fabulous. Appetizers and entree were fine, but wouldn’t inspire us to go back. Servers were attentive and apologized that drinks and food were slow to arrive. Valet parking is superb.
Great meal and a really cool restaurant. Can’t wait to go there again!
Had a fantastic meal here with a few colleagues while in town for work. Food was fantastic and the cocktails even better. Our waiter walked us through the drink menu in detail and was very knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a good starter, highly recommend the Hot Crab + Pimento Cheese Crackers.
Henley was not my favorite. Valet parking although validated was an additional $3. The menu is somewhat limited. Only two beef dishes, Skirt Steak for $26, or a dry aged monster Ribeye for $54. The Skirt was not tender. Not your choice if anyone in the party is seeking beef. The service was questionable, the waitress almost seemed to be on something. Strong communication was not present. It was still Happy Hour, but you could only have the pricing if you got it yourself at the bar. The bar was 4' from our table. The Manager was the bright spark. For the quality of the hotel, the restaurant is not holding up to the standard.
Delicious meal! The Mac&Cheese is excellent! Gooey butter cake with apples was phenomenal!
My wife fell in love with the decor of the restaurant. Decor seems to make a huge difference in the enjoyment of a restaurant for women. Just an observation. For me, the specialty cocktails were outstanding. Very complex. Our server was exactly what you would want. Friendly, engaging with good recommendations based on our preferences. The autumn squash soup was fantastic. We both had the burgers because they were recommended. They were very good indeed. *NOTE: Valet for the restaurant is at the entrance to the Aertson Hotel. It is $3 'after' validation with the hostess. Not bad for Nashville.
My husband and I visited Henley prior to attending a concert at the Ryman. It was a Monday evening and the restaurant was almost empty. There was no hostess at the front door to greet us upon arrival. Our greet time from a server was quite long. We let our server know it was our first time at Henley, however she did not offer any suggestions or back story about the restaurant. There also seemed to be confusion over the Manhattan happy hour special.
We ordered the skirt steak & grouper which were both very good dishes. The potato chowder that the grouper sat in was a little soupy. Would have liked a more substantial base. Several times throughout dinner our server seemed to disappear. We were her only table so service could have been more attentive. Also, I ordered a glass of wine to find out they were out of stock but was charged anyway.
Not an awful experience, but not a standout experience I was hoping for given reviews I have seen. Don't know if we will return in the near future.
Hands down the best Chicken I ever ate!
Our sides came out before our entrees and all the entrees were lukewarm. The flavor was excellent and we enjoyed our meal overall.
Terrific atmosphere. Food and service were excellent. We will be back!
