Our highly stylized West County Pub brings HenHouse's well-established commitments to quality, freshness, and fun to one of the great agricultural locales on the planet! In the kitchen, our chef Lauren Garcia uses a similar ethos sourcing her menu of coastal Californian cuisine almost entirely from local fisheries, farms, and ranches here in West Marin and Sonoma counties. Expect flavors and dishes inspired by many of the world's great beer-centric culinary traditions. This location is also home to HenHouse Brewing Company's first satellite brewery. Here at our Craft Malt Certified Pub Brewery, we work with small, independent malthouses to source grain and malt much of the grain we use right here in California. Expect a draft split between your favorite HenHouse brands and new recipes built around craft malts.

    I think Henhouse has got it corrected now! Love the interior changes. Food was as good as we were hoping for. Service was spot on. So glad we have this place back in the community worthy of visit for pints and food!

    They have made great improvements to the ambiance and menu. I just hope they keep developing the menu, such as more interesting cocktail sauce and mignonette for the oysters.

    I think they’re trying to hard to be special, but need to focus on perfecting the basics. For example the Parmesan fries come with marinara but aren’t even crispy and the Parmesan falls off. The fried chicken sandwich is ultra crispy but all the toppings are super wet and the fried chicken batter is way too salty and falls off the chicken. Working on their fundamentals will go a long way because they have the flavor and creative down.

    Simply stated, they make the best burger I’ve ever had. Cooked perfectly to order, soft sesame seed bun, house sauce that pairs perfectly and defies description! Service was attentive and friendly, without being intrusive. The description of our Hoppy Beer Flight was informative and entertaining! Ambiance was spot on, can’t beat the live music. We loved it and we will be back!

    Yum and more yum. If you like sushi, the ahi tuna taco appetizer is a must. Don’t ask questions just order it. Your taste buds and mind will explode. Best fried chicken sandwich ever. Has gochujang so slightly spicy which I love, and some cooling pickles. French fries are perfecto. I didn’t try them, but my husband had the grilled oysters and loved them. They had pieces of bacon and other yummy thangs. Beer and wine super good. Menu slightly limited but I would reorder the exact same thing and be very happy.

    Amazing selection of taps coupled with higher quality that you expect at a brewpub. The ahi poke tacos and avocado spring rolls were perfect starters and paired perfectly with both the saison and hazy ipas we had.

    Big improvement over first rollout. Have been twice and both times exceeded expectations. Worthy of dinner with family or friends. Also good for beer and appetizers.

    I Made a reservation, showed up 10 minutes early and was sad immediately. Service was very on top of it but lacking experience, we were waited on by 2 servers who were both outstanding but one was clearly the trainer and the trainee. the food was outstanding, and came out in a reasonable amount of time. The only hiccups or anything like that was we ordered fries and got garlic fries, no trouble our table love’s garlic so it was a happy accident and we were not made aware of the small menu with with the snack menu. Overall five stars, will definitely return .

    Had the Ahi sandwich - awesome! One of the babies in our group had the Mac and cheese, super creamy and a healthy portion. I would recommend. And, the beer is bomb!

    Henhouse is closed for business! OpenTable took and even confirmed my reservation for a restaurant that has shut down! I don’t know if it’s the fault of Henhouse or OpenTable but very embarrassing and irritating experience. EDIT: I’d delete this if I knew how. Henhouse responded directly to me and handled it awesomely. They very much care about their reputation and customers.

    Showed up to our reservation with a sign on the door saying they were closed for business. Called the HH Santa Rosa location to report the experience (why are reservations being accepted/website still showing open) and was told a manager would call be back. No call. Next day sent an email to HH contact us - no reply as of today. Drove from Santa Rosa to this location to meet our son and his wife as this was a convenient spot for them and they had enjoyed this location. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Stillwater on Broadway - head there!

    Henhouse has made some real improvements since they opened. The service was friendly and professional and the beer is really good. The bratwurst and the hamburger got really good reviews from my husband and son but the potato skins were inexplicably bland. I’m hoping that they will add a few more brew pub type items and we will be back

    Have to admit, we were big fans of the old Iron Springs so we might be jaded but not impressed with the change. We were a party of 4. The food wasn't bad, it just wasn't something you would go back for. The portions I would say were on the smaller side. It is a brew pub with a menu that is trying to be upscale. I thought the menu was rather short. The prices were on the high side but the ingredients were very fresh and high quality so that probably explains the prices. New expanded out door area is nice.

    i am a fan of Henhouse and was eager to try this new space. It is nice enough and I will likely return. My medium rare burger was pretty rare which I don’t mind per se but shows a hurried or careless kitchen. Also the burger came with some veggies that were not mentioned of the menu and were quite spicy.

    Fantastic beer. Sadly, food really needs a revamp. Basic bar food done well would be so much better. Same chefs as IS but even kid burgers are just slopped on plate with undercooked frozen fries. If asked for well done , they refry the ones you send back! Ahi was good but $24 in a beer place is stretching? Really good , short menu of basic food would be a great asset to HenHouse and Fairfax. PS: they asked for comments on food!

    Indoor is great,pub like feel,close seating. Outdoor is good for dogs but could get cold and windy later in the day. Helps to make reservations before hand. Food is good, portions are small.

    The new setting is great - upbeat, lively and light. And of course, the beer is outstanding. But the meal was maybe a 5 out of 10. We had a salad and asparagus which were good, but the burgers were served plain with "tomato preserves and seasonal trimmings" which consisted of a piece of lettuce, pickled vegetables that were too chunky to put on the burger and I guess the preserves was ketchup? The grilled cheese didn't come with any savory jam as far as I could tell/taste and the fries were cold. Overall it was a disappointment and we probably won't eat there again.

    The food was good - my companions enjoyed their burgers and I loved the asparagus bagna cauda as well as the garlic noodles from the specials menu. As ever, the beer was fresh and delicious!

    We sat outside under a warm heater with the wind blowing pretty hard! Food was great! Chef Alex has really brought something for everyone! And it’s awesome! You need to show proof of vaccination to eat inside, and if you don’t have that you can eat outside. Keeping everyone healthy. Service is friendly, and wonderful. There is a whole new area called the lounge for more intimate seating, or family style .. all very open and inviting…. It’s new so changes will continue. Check them out!

    Great beer (of course). Burger needs some work - a brewpub burger should be juicy with a hefty patty - this was neither. Fries were very good. Service was very good.

    Feels a bit like eating in a restaurant at the airport. Very chilly inside the night we ate there. Loud! Food not very good. Would like to see more organic and information on the source of the beef.

    We’ve been awaiting the opening since Iron Springs closed 😟 The new Hen House is nothing like Iron Springs except some of the staff whom we love The interior is beautiful and clean, the noise level is a bit much but to be expected in a open space like this The menu is full of yummy dishes, have yet to try them all Burgers are very good, Alex’s specials are always scrumptious There’s a wide selection of beers and a few wines that fit the bill The prices are a bit steep for a casual place in Fairfax, but knowing it’s the first week of opening perhaps that will even out with more substantial dishes for the price Welcome to the neighborhood Henhouse cannot wait to see you grow

    Hard to get excited about new food flavors when you have the same chef from Iron Springs sending out expensive $15 bland sausage dishes. GH gets them right at half the price. The word on the street is many locals are not impressed. It’s going to take time for them to get this one right if they can.

    Beer is the only reason to go! Food was well below what you might expect from the Henhouse. I hate to write this review - but it’s accurate as well as unfortunate. I will return for a cold pint but not cold bland cuisine. Prost!
