Excellent Cob Salad and wonderful service
I enjoyed the quiet dining room so we could talk without yelling. The drinks were unique and delicious featuring Hendricks gin. Yum!
Delicious food, and good place especially for a hotel restaurant. Unfortunately the half-halibut was a tiny portion and not quite satisfying.
Have been to Hendricks now twice and have not yet been disappointed. Engaging server, great food at great value - Happy Hour in particular! Great place to go pre show or pre game.
Great hidden gem in the middle of many fast food joints.
The burger was delicious, and service impeccable! Will definitely visit again.
Restaurant is part of the lobby bar in the Westin Hotel across from the main Library on Robson. The menu was simple but the dood was prepared well and well portion. Our waiter was personable and prompt with eating tips around Vancouver while keeping our glasses filled. I’d go there again.
For a hotel lobby restaurant, it had some very unique offerings and was very good. We had the breakfast buffet several days and it was fine. The 2 types of scrambled eggs were very good for a buffet and had some very good sausages. We had dinner one night and were rushed going to a play but our server was great in recommending the fastest foods to get us fed and out the door quickly and each choice was great, the seafood pasta was really amazing and fast. Great service and nice atmosphere.
We had a great time on our visit to Vancouver Taufik was a great server!! Merci Beaucoup!
Service was slow. They had to take our order twice.
We were on a business lunch and they tailored our meals. Always very accommodating. The waiter has exceptional customer service skills. Would definitely recommend to others
Made reservations online for me and my boyfriend., And was only offered a table in the bar where it was very noisy. When I asked if we could have a quieter table somewhere else I was told that was all they had. The reason being we were just a party of two. 10 minutes later I watched a couple come in and sit at a table for four. And I wondered why they got a bigger table in a quieter area than we did when we arrived there first. Would not recommend this restaurant to my friends or family.
Nothing short of amazing and an experience that I would not expect from a High End Hotel Restaurant. Am already recommending it to friends as it was recommended to me. A great place to meet for a pre -performance drink and bite to eat. I also noticed that on Saturday there was a DJ on hand!
Nice services ❤️
Friendly service, good menu for small plate dining. Windows on three sides, so lots of light and good street views. Quiet: only one TV, which was at the bar. Easy to have a conversation.
Great little place to eat or grab a bevy. Was super busy as concert night...way understaffed. The staff they had (2) waiters did the best they could but a dj playing ...too noisy...not a dance place..money could have been spent on an extra server. Food was excellent
Food was good but the service was very slow. Applies came well before the drinks. Meals had cooled by the time they were served.
Wife and I went for dinner. I had West Coast Salmon salad and the salmon was extremely over cooked. Rest of salad was bland and flavourless. Appetizers were good and wife had braised short rib, which was cooked to perfection but lacked flavour. Overall the food was okay but for the prices I wouldn’t give it a shot given how many great options there are in Vancouver.
Amazing atmosphere and great service!
I had lunch there and ordered the reuben panini. It was probably one of the best reubens I've had, and I've tried many different reubens. My friend had the award-winning burger, and he thought it lived up to its billing. I will be back to try some of their other items. Food was delicious, and service was impeccable. The waiter was super friendly and knew what he was doing.
Server was very short with us, food and ambiance was incredible, and I would highly recommend as a spot to go grab drinks. However, although the food was worth the wait, it took FOREVER to make. It took 45 minutes just to make our appetizer, which was a bread/hummus plate. And this was before the dinner rush when no one was in the restaurant! While overall the experience was good, our server was very rude and snappy and forgot about us very often, my mother had to get up from the table and go get him just to order drinks. All other employees we interacted with were very kind and helpful.
We tried out dine out menu. Live music and food are great. We already recommended it to our friends.
We made a reservation for Christmas Evening for one of the only 2 time slots available which was 8PM. Upon arrival, the pleasant Maître d'hotel suggested we try the Christmas Menu that everyone was "raving about". We ordered that for me and simply a Tuna Poke for my husband who has a small appetite. The waiter returned quickly to bring us our glasses of wine and inform us that they had run out of the Christmas special. I ordered the "line-caught" salmon from the menu. It was dry and overcooked, the Brussels sprouts (all 3 of them) were uncored, unscored, undercooked, and too tough to cut even with a knife. The salmon was lying on an uninspired layer of cafeteria-style mashed potatoes under which I found one green bean. The Maître d'hotel was apologetic. We ordered a "Schwartzwald Brownie" and a Lemon Pavlova for dessert. The tiny brownie was, well, a brownie and 2 square inches (for $13). The ""Pavlova" was not a Pavlova but simply 2 slices of stale meringue floating in what seemed to be 2 tablespoons of lemon curd. the wine list was pricy ($13 for 6oz of a NZ Sauvignon Blanc) and was mainly composed of BC wines. No French wines at all. thewaiter was neither helpful or particularly attentive. I can recommend the Tuna Poke which was very good.
Great food, friendly food, but the meal took too long to prepare. One hour for a classic signature brunch (toasts, eggs, hams) to be served is way too long.
Find somewhere else sorry. So understaffed. Got order wrong 5 times. 4 drinks. 1 food. No one apologized or stopped by. Had to flag down people to get help. Never sorry just laugh and got man bartender doesnt read orders. Wasted 4 alcholic drinks how many times that happens. It was so load in the room also. For a branded hotel was far from up to par. But reading other reviews it is a common thing. Good luck .
Service was outstanding. The food we had was not the usual type of food you would see on menus but we loved it. The dessert was just ok and hence brought the score overall down
I made reservations for three of us prior to a show at the Orpheum on December 3rd. There was no host/ess at the reception area and someone from the hotel seated us. The waiter was not attentive and after 10 minutes or so as he was clearing off a table I requested service. He apologized but I found it odd there was only one waiter and he was clearing tables instead of taking our order.
Lovely dinner, served by Robert who was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We will definitely return and recommend this place to our friends.
Great pre-concert location. Food was great and service and server were good. Knowledgeable and helpful
Good food and Good Service. Burger and beef short ribs were both good.
Ok, so the staff are really really nice, but maybe they’re spread too thin because the service is slow, because they’re often not even in the area (I’m guessing they’re busy servicing the conference rooms at the same time). So not a complaint about the staff, per se, but more about how management is dealing with it perhaps. The food was much better than I was expecting, although they’re really too generous on whatever sauces are involved in the dishes. But otherwise pretty good! They might benefit from better signage/information on the fact that they’re located on the 2nd floor because it’s not super obvious where it is on the corner, so it’s hard to find despite the street signage (no hint that it’s not on the street level).
I have business lunch at Hendricks and their Service was excellent and Food was terrific.
Thoroughly enjoyable a la carte breakfast. Great portion size. Beautifully prepared.
Great place to really enjoy nice music, amazing service and delicious food.
I chose Hendricks Resto-Lounge because the location was convenient and the pictures seemed to look like a nice place to get together with a friend who I haven't seen in a while so I had wanted somewhere where we could talk and not worry about the music being too loud and Hendricks' was great for that. My friend had the Reuben Panini, it looked and tasted fine with her, the slaw was "unusual" as it was mainly carrots and some raisins. I had the Seared Salmon Bibimbap, I guess a play on Korean Bibimbap which did not step up to the plate. The salmon was dry (overcooked) and Gochujang was the only thing that saved the dish, the daikon was blanched, the mushrooms were bland, the egg was a bit over done so I didn't quite get the runny yolk to fold in with the undercooked jasmine rice and Gochujang. Should have gone with my first instinct and had the Warm Chicken Kale Salad instead.
Went on a Friday and service was quite slow. I wish they had put more people on the floor. Went there for their patio but it wasn’t available. That’s kinda of disappointing.
This is our first time at Hendricks. A great location if you are heading to The Centre, The Orpheum, QE. We had originally planned on having dinner, but when we saw the
appetizers, we changed our mind. We ordered five appetizers and were not disappointed. We had our favourites, the Cauliflower Pakoras, Spiced Goat Cheese Bings, Crispy Ahi Tuna Roll. All excellent! It is one of those menus that you want to try everything. A nice surprise, was the live music. Service was great, attentive. Cannot wait to go back.
Meat and cheese plate was great. Olive tampinade was whipped with cream cheese and tasted quite delicious!
Happy Hour prices were good but nothing really spectacular by the glass - which I suppose is par for the course in a Happy Hour menu.
It really fell apart with the beef carpaccio- probably one of the worst ones I’ve had. First it wasn’t served with any bread or crostini. The micro-greens seemed past their prime and there was no salt and little flavour otherwise - reminiscent of an old lunch.
Scallops were definitely better and cooked properly but again there was a lack of seasoning.
Came here for drinks on Friday night. Really enjoyed the live music! Drinks are pretty costly, but expected for hotel restaurant. Great service.
We ordered light as the menu has changed and didn’t seem as good as remembered. We had the pulled pork sliders which were bland, the meat tasted re-heated and was fatty and chunky, the slaw was tasteless .. awful.
Our waiter was lovely but we declined ordering much else.
Was empty, but the service and good was great. Happy hour was a bit on pricey side but was still goos
