Hen Quarter is our favorite restaurant in Dublin. Food, drinks and service are always stellar.
Very enjoyable meal. Nice menu with a variety of options.
It was my Birthday!!
Everything was excellent from the time we walked in.
Our server Derek was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks and had great recommendations that did not disappoint. We enjoyed every minute of our visit. Will definitely be visiting this establishment again.
Outside seating was all they had when I arrived for my reservation which was disappointing. The bees were awful and I couldn’t enjoy my dining at all. They should consider shutting the windows outside
The service and food was great, as always! The menu has a variety of very well-prepared selections; however, unless you have 20/20 laser sharp vision, it's difficult to read the paper menu, which is written in a fine print font. The good news is that we were able to download the menu using the QR on our phones. Live music was/is a nice idea, but when you're seated near the speaker it becomes annoyingly loud. We couldn't enjoy our conversation, because the music was so loud. We didn't complain, because we didn't want to be "those people," but I would love to return and enjoy a larger print menu and the live music at a lower volume.
We had a large group and the service was good, the staff was patient and friendly, other than that I didn’t love the restaurant. We went there for brunch and the majority of their menu was sea food which I was not expecting given the name. I don’t mind sea food but it’s not my preference for breakfast and all the omelettes, eggs Benedict and several other foods I usually get had sea food so I was limited to about 3 options. Everyone in our group of 10 got one of the few none sea food options and none of us liked our food. I paid 30 dollars for a bland sandwich I did not enjoy. I barely ate any of it because it just was not good so when I got home I had to eat again after overpaying for my food. The restaurant is nice and maybe their lunch/dinner options are better and people who like sea food might enjoy it more than we did.
I believe the prices are a little high for the items I ordered. I do some what understand the reason for the increase. However, your increase will limit my visits.
Food was very good, but extremely overpriced, as were the drinks. My husband each had a cocktail before we learned they were $25-30 each, and we switched to beer and wine— also very high price, we split a salad, and each had an entree around $38. The total for Our dinner was $200 - not worth it.
We had a great time even met the owner really nice guy.
Hen Quarter is one of my FAVORITE places in Dublin! I often take friends to visit for their first time. The staff, service, food, and ambience are incredible!
Mis communication in the water but everything else was perfect
Arielle our server was Amazing, she was so attentive, fast and we will definitely be back! The food was amazing as well! Thank you for a great birthday celebration!
Our waiter was noticeably new but very eager to exceed expectations. Food was good over all, and the vegan meatloaf was phenomenal. The cocktails were a bit strong but 🤷🏾♀️. Will definitely stop by again.
Our waiter was awesome (blonde with Ohio tattoo) and food was delicious.
We had a great night! The service was great and the food was fantastic!
Food was amazing! Lamb was the best I’ve ever had!
Our private room was beautiful. Both food and cocktails were unique and delicious! Our waitress Rebecca couldn't have been anymore helpful and efficient. Will be visiting again!
Wonderful service w Madeline, excellent Manhattan’s had by all! Delicious deviled eggs and perfect short ribs!
Business lunch. We requested to be seated in a quiet area, which we were. Service, food and atmosphere was excellent.
The food was immaculate and the playlist was fire!
It was a weird vibe after our date. There were definitely too many people to be there during our special event. The steak was not worth it.
Hen Quarter overall was great. We ordered the fried Brussels sprouts, crab-stuffed salmon and shrimp garganelli. The food was served timely and piping hot, and the service was perfect. My only “complaint” would be that the restaurant doesn’t serve bread, and we’re big bread lovers, but we will still go back.
They were out of crab meat which took several things off their menu. Portions were average, offerings were not special and music was super loud and not enjoyable. Overpriced for what you get. Will not be back
The fired lobster, though a tad hirer in price than I was expecting, was delicious!!!!
Loved the vibe— felt like we were in a big city (Atlanta or Chicago); the food was so good and the wait staff really attentive with a great knowledge of the menu. This was important because we have food allergies—thank you. We will be back!
Our waitress was friendly and informative. The chef was very accommodating to my allergies, so she subbed the lobster for andouille on the Benedict. We will be back again. Thanks to everyone.
We ate outside and even there the noise level was incredible - I don't think the music needs to exceed that much - we were yelling at each other to be heard. However, my crab stuffed salmon was delicious! I could have used some bread though, when we were seated.
The food and service were great. The atmosphere was a bit too loud for conversation. Value was in line with most upscale restaurants $$$ to $$$$.
$70 plus tip, Saturday brunch for two…yikes!
Wonderful food as always. Can never go wrong with ordering anything from the menu.
This was a great dinner outing with my family! It was my 13 year old birthday and he really enjoyed himself and the food! We will be back… everything was on point!!
Really the best dinner I’ve had in a while. High quality and the vegan meatloaf was phenomenal! Service was grand, he’d stop by almost without us seeing him. Kevin gets all the praise for taking care of us! ☺️
Delicious! You know a restaurant is great when the next day leftovers are even better! Loved everything from the service, to the portions and the very generous birthday dessert for my Husband’s Birthday! Thank you all for making it a special night!
Over priced & not seasoned enough to be “Soul food” great service tho
Some in our party were very happy with their food. Salmon and scallops were given great reviews. My filet was ordered medium and came out very rare. I had to wait while the rest of the table ate for my food to be re cooked. It had no salt or seasoning, very bland. For the price I expected a little more.
Our waitress was wonderful, the food was amazing, and of course we always love the music and atmosphere.
Overall a fantastic experience…the food was amazing, service spectacular and ambiance wonderful.
A few things to note…The Host seemed like she didn’t know what was going on at the door.
Personally, I felt it was a bit too expensive.
We dined here for the first time after hearing it had excellent food. We did not want full meal so we perused the appetizers and decided on the seafood tower with a side. I had the gumbo (excellent but very filling) and she had a salad. The full order of the seafood tower is very big and contains raw oysters, chilled shrimp, king crab legs and a crab dip with toasted rounds for dipping. Although pricey it was worth it as the seafood was fresh and properly chilled. The crab legs were split and easy to eat. One thing we did not understand was that they did not include seafood forks for the crab and oysters. Just regular dinner forks.
The gumbo had just enough spice and served the traditional way with a scoop of rice. The salad was good and overall the food was excellent. We saw many entrees going by our table and they all looked great. The food is pricey but for what you get a good value.
When it comes to the wines, forget it. They are overpriced and the 5 oz pour offered is the smallest 5oz glass of wine I have ever seen. For the price the wines were definitely sub par and there are many other restaurants that serve better at much lower prices. Talk about gouging!
Not sure if we will go back to eat in but the food was good enough we may order carryout and find an nice bottle of wine that is 1/3 the price and superior to what they are serving.
I am going to recommend this restaurant as far as the food, but if you enjoy a good glass of wine at a reasonable price go elsewhere.
