We had brunch, Everything was delicious great server. Asked if we had any allergies and I said yes. I had ordered the fried green tomatoes which had crab salad on top not realizing! Our server reminded us and had it come on the side instead! Which was perfect! Definitely will go back again. Only thing to note was chef was very heavy handed on the finishing salt. So if that’s something that you are sensitive to just ask your server!
Place smells like a deep fryer...you can smell it on your clothes after you leave.
A busy night and we got lost in the shuffle. First two tables they said were ours were given to other groups. Manager didn't help continually saying no one's fault just a training issue. Seated half an hour after the reservation.
Server was great. Offered a complimentary appetizer but it got lost in the kitchen. Manager stopped by with cornbread and deviled eggs complimentary, nether one the item we requested, again stating no one's fault.
Main courses were good but pricing is high for what was received. Be aware all our main courses came with no sides. Mussel dish and shrimp and grits were good if not traditional. Steak was cooked as requested and was flavorful.
Very cute place
Just love the soco food and of course the playlist! 90’s R&B!
Great taste of southern cooking. Service is great but room for improvement. The selection for GF and. vegetarian is great.
Wonderful experience from start to finish. Our server was so knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. She listened to us and made great suggestions. We can't wait for our next visit.
Wings are superb!
Decent atmosphere. Offers a southern menu not featured at other places in area
Loud group made it less than ideal for a date. Otherwise, ambiance was great.
Not sure this is a place that I would frequent. Food was mediocre. Part of my food was cold when it arrived. It was JUST ok.... The atmosphere was great!
Overpriced and not much food, I was extremely disappointed.
Food, service and atmosphere are 5☆☆☆☆☆. Have went for brunch and dinner and have not been disappointed!! Our new favorite place and will be sure to bring our out of town guests.
I love Hen Quarter! The food is delicious and the music is awesome! Great service too!
I was very impressed by the selection of music that was playing. Very well done. Food was worth the money spent. Even though my girlfriend though that the Scallops and rice was not enough. Plating needs some work, because of drops of sauce was left. I thought that the Garlic greens needed a bit more cooked just a extra 30-45 seconds would have been excellent. Mac and cheese was awesome and the steak was well cooked even though I prefer a grill cooked not seared. Just saying. Cajun butter was good and wine was great for the selection. The petals on the table could have gotten in my food.
Overall it was marvelous. Just giving you my perseverance that is all.
The first time I dined here for brunch one weekend, it was really good. I went on Valentines Day and it was not worth the $130 we spent. The appetizer and drinks were good, but the entrees were mediocre. My boyfriend sent his back once, they remade it and it was still over cooked. My meal was overcooked as well. Both entrees, the meat was dry. It was not what I expected for the price.
First time here for Valentines Day Dinner. They have a nice cocktail selection, my favorite was the purple rain. They also have a nice selection of Smokey whiskey’s. The dinner was delicious, the short rub had a lot of flavor and the chicken and waffles did not disappoint.
That was our first visit to Hen Quarter. We thought the food was excellent. The staff was very pleasant. Being Valentine's Day, it was fun to see the staff dressed accordingly. We liked the decor also. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends and we will be back.
I have been to Hen Quarter several times. Just went again on Valentines Day. Over priced for what you get.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Hen Quarter. We loved the food and environment. We were surprised that you could not substitute items on menu. We will return .
I had an amazing time! The service was excellent! I reserved my seating and asked for a booth and it’s what I got.
The staff was very welcoming and pleasant
Wait staff is superb, food excellent, had a great time. Our table was a bit too close to the other tables for our private conversation
Valentines dinner. Reduced options limited choices. Overpriced for quality of food served.
Service was slow despite very few people being there. We had to flag our waiter down after he took our appetizer order to order lunch. Food was ok. Gumbo was good. Hot chicken sandwich...I guess it is “hot” as opposed to “cold”? Wasn’t spicy at all. Over $50 for lunch. Price of food did not match quality.
The food was good but nothing special. The deconstructed peach cobbler was not good. Do not recommend. Don’t plan on going back anytime soon.
We went for our anniversary and everything was so good! The service was a bit slow to start but the food, drinks, and ambiance were beyond our expectations! Would dine again for dinner, and would love to try brunch!
Food was good. The problem was that the tables aren’t turned quick enough. We noticed folks sit and visit 15-25 min after completing meal. This isn’t good when it’s very busy. We ended up grabbing a drink at bar and waited 45 min with a reservation. Not sure we will return.
Service and food were very good. Not 5 stars, but worth the repeat.
My biggest complaint was the cocktail served at the bar. My "crafted" Old Fashion was shorted some ingredients and was not muddled. It was basically upgraded bourbon poured over a great cube of ice as quickly as possible. For the high price of this drink customers deserve better.
Everything was great!
Great food, great service
This is my favorite restaurant in Dublin. The food is amazing and the service is always friendly.
Place is slowly dwindling from the standard it set when it first open. Food is bland, drinks take 30plus minted to make in an empty dining room, waiters wait on your table once an hour.... If it gets any worse, this will be apart of the common testament of why supporting black business is such a difficult conversation.
Service was very slow. Food was good but not great. Got the lobster dip which was flavorful. Frittata was just okay, not a ton of flavors and lacking taste. Shrimp and grits was decent.
- Long wait, even with a reservation
- Food was cold and bland
- Best thing was the music
- Would not recommend
Everything was really great, except we had a reservation at 8 pm and did not get seated until 8:40 which with 3 couples that all had babysitters that made it difficult. The food was great our server was on point. Great experience, other than the wait.
Food was nasty and expected a better atmosphere. The Bloody Mary was good. Service lacked
Loved the food.
This is my second visit to Hen Quarter and while the service was good the food was average at best. The first time we came the entire group of 8 loved everything about Hen Quarter especially the food, service and music being piped in. This time the food was not that good. The only dish that everyone agreed was great was the shrimp and grits. I would like to give Hen Quarter another chance.
Food was okay. Cornbread was excellent. Chicken was a little too crispy with not much flavor. Wine was not very good given the price.
The food was good. But not the best food I’ve ever had. Little pricey, good to check out at least once....
