Hen Quarter - Dublin, OH

Fantastic High-end take on southern comfort food. The Shrimp and Grits were phenomenal, and the biscuit that came with my wife's fried chicken was so good, I ate it all while she wasn't looking.
Great place. Tables are a little too close together for my taste.
Delicious food and drinks!
Our food was good, but for the price I expected a little more “wow”. The drinks, macaroni and cheese, and the bread pudding dessert was amazing. We tried the cornbread appetizer and the king crab. The king crab was good, but was exactly the same as the king crab we make ourselves at home. Our entrees were not particularly memorable. I would go back, but it might not make my top tier list for special occasions.
The food and service were second to none. We had a party of six so we were put in a room that resembled a cave structure. The acoustics were terrible due to the sound reverb. Unfortunately, we were unable to converse at our table. There were two other sizable groups squeezed into the same area. The music also became very loud at random times. It was a stressful environment where we nearly felt as though we couldn’t enjoy each others’ company.
Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Ambiance was lovely.
Gabby, our server was superb!!
Had high expectations but the food fell way short, on this brunch outing. In a word, the food was boring. The fried chicken was over done and dry. The Eggs Benedict lacked seasoning, and the poached eggs had solid yolks.
The servers were apologizing at three tables around us, and the window next to our table was splattered with food.
As much as we like Bridge Park, in Dublin, we won’t be returning to Hen Quarter.
I ordered the hot chicken sandwich with mac and cheese. The baked mac and cheese was served in a small skillet so I knew it was going to be good. The chicken sandwich was also delicious. I’m not a fan of overly spicy dishes. I would consider the chicken spicy at all.
This place is amazing. The food, music, ambiance was excellent. A very upscale but laid back place. My birthday dinner was great.
Love this place. The king crab appetizer is phenomenal, and my two favorite entrees are the lobster roll and smoked salmon toast for brunch. Our server was very friendly and helpful, I wish I could remember his name (It started with an A) so I could give him some recognition cause he talked me into trying some amazing alligator soup! Will always recommend this place, wish I could afford to eat here every day.
Our drinks took 30 minutes, after 2 different guns were offered but out of stock. They were comped by management.
Our food took a long time but was very good. I requested the hot chicken sandwich with the bun, and salad instead of the fries. They brought the bun and the fries and no salad.
The waitress was very nice but didn’t improve the entire time. She 1) didn’t seem to remember what she brought us and what she didn’t, 2) when the order wasn’t right, 3) the time between checking on us. If I wasn’t with my daughter and having a great time just chatting and catching up with her, I would have been much angrier while waiting.
Usually everything is good. This was an exception. The prices do seem to be going up and up.
Great food, loved my drink, great service and the playlist was so bomb!
A good bit over spiced on their scallops and short rib I thought. Waited at least 15 minutes to sit even with reservations and their lights kept going up and down during dinner.
Excellent dining experience -- food was delicious and the drinks were extremely good.
Quality of food is hit or miss - seafood entree and sides were very good, oyster appetizer, salad, and chicken were very average. Beer selection is very limited, wine pours are small and pricey.
Nice gem in Dublin. Great for dates. The close by parking availability makes the overall experience really painless.
Hen Quarter quickly became my favorite restaurant in the Columbus area. The ambiance, music and vibe was great. The service was top notch and the food reminded me of being at my grandmother’s house when she cooked.
I had the shrimp and grits, my wife had the fried chicken, both were good.
The people were very polite and outgoing. They made the experience very personable. It was like we were regulars, the music was great! The atmosphere at this location is very authentic.
After reading other negative reviews, I had very low expectations on service. Our server was attentive, drinks and food were delivered in cadence (not too slow, not rushed). Food items were well prepared and tasty. Crafty cocktails.
My visit was on a Tuesday, dining room was 50% full.
Nice happy hour in bar area only. Deviled eggs were wonderful. Great fried chicken (if you prefer breasts, they let you get 2 instead of 1 plus leg and thigh). Deboned which is nice! Appetizer crab is expensive for only 4 oz ($28).
Worst service of any restaurant we have ever experienced Waited 20 minutes for help another twenty minutes for drink order, served hot water, another 20 minutes to place order. When meal came had to ask for salt and pepper and butter. Server was nice but but was not attentive. Food was ok.
Celebrating my husband’s birthday with family and friends!
The music was so loud there, my pork chop wasn’t cooked all the way through. We were sitting right next to a table of a birthday or something that we could hardly talk to each other. It looked like the people who worked there was more focused on that table then the other tables around. The next to us even asked to be move. I will say the app we had was amazing. It’s just frustrating to go to a “high in “ restaurant and not even be able to enjoy It. If I wanted to go to a club I would of. I will admit I did ask them to turn the music down half way they do but when you can’t talk because there’s a legit party going on it’s kinda annoying.
Service was extremely slow. Felt as if we were forgotten about multiple times.
The food was great. The music was awesome. Service was great. I will be back.
Delicious food and ambiance. The music however, is way too loud to talk to your party
We were so excited to visit the Hen Quarter based on the menu and location. We were disappointed with the food and service. It took 35 minutes to receive cocktails, and 1 hour before we received our appetizers. The apps were exceptional except for the one burnt cornbread. Once the food arrived the hot chicken for everyone was barely lukewarm. The gumbo was fantastic and so was the lobster dip, deviled eggs and cornbread (the non burnt one). We arrived at 605pm for 615 reservation and were seated right away. However the service was super slow and we didn’t finish until 830 pm! The atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting.
First time at Hen Quarters! Fantastic service, delicious food!
It was our 30th wedding anniversary and the staff was extremely diligent in attending to our request. We plan to attend in the near future. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. You must go.
Will definitely be returning soon!!!! Absolutely amazing service, food, and environment!
Great food, service and ambiance. We'll be back again.
Great atmosphere! Good was great, service was great, and specialty cocktails were great! Will be back soon!
Our experience at Hen Quarter was phenomenal. The food was delicious and the old fashions were perfectly balanced. I ordered the oysters and deviled eggs and they were a bit pricey but worth the cost. For dinner we had the scallops and short ribs. Once again those were amazing and moderately priced. The customer service is what won me over. Our waitress was Jocelyn and she deserved a medal for her service. She was extremely patient and informative. We even had a lovely discussion with her. She was the ultimate selling point of this restaurant.
We had a large party and we were put in the private wine room in the back. Service and food were both great. Yes, it is pricey, but I thought the food quality was great.
Had a great time!
First time at this location and it was amazing.
We had to wait on our table despite the reservation. We had to wait a long time at our table for drinks and to order, and then the entrees came out about 30 seconds after we were served our salads. The server was great, though. I felt the food was a bit costly for what we were served.
