Great place for brunch! Food was good, service was great and bottomless mimosas sealed the deal.
The food was okay and the service was okay as well. It was just noisy because we were seated near a large party of people.
First time having brunch here, we really enjoyed it!
The staff was absolutely amazing. The food was good and the mimosas were perfect.
The food was great, the service and the atmosphere were great also. Will definitely return when I am in the area again.
Been for brunch a couple of times with the girls. Nice buffet.
Double date night at Hen Quarter was a fun experience! The food was really good. Loved the deviled eggs and hush puppies. The crab cakes were fantastic. The steak frites were tasty although not prepared medium rare as requested... more like medium/medium well but they still had great flavor. The drinks were very good, especially enjoyed the Smokey maple old fashioned drink! Thanks for a good experience.
I had the shrimp and grits and it was good and the shrimp was cooked perfectly but the grits were a little spicy for my taste. 2 people in our party had the HQ Special and 1 had the Chicken and Waffles. All of the chicken was overdone and the mashed potatoes were just ok. The waffle was great! The portion of chicken was really way too much. Maybe it would be a good idea to offer a chicken breast OR a leg and thigh instead of a leg AND a breast. We left nearly 3 breasts because we’re staying in a hotel and eating all meals out. We did have the appetizer sampler and it was all really good. We’re just visiting the area so probably won’t be back. It would not make my list of restaurants to repeat if I were to come back to the area.
The waitress didn't smile, she looked bored, lol.. the food was good though.
Buffet style brunch is Delicious and reasonable....
Brunch with the girls!
I expected the restaurant to be busy as it was a Sunday brunch. Unfortunately, we weren't seated until nearly 11:40 with a 11:15 reservation.
Our server was nice and quickly greeted us and took our orders. Our food came out very quickly. My friend had the Shrimp and Grits and loved her meal. I ordered the Fried Chicken Cobb Salad and it was okay. Although Hen Quarter is known for their fried chicken, I found the chicken tenders on my salad very dry and bland. To be blunt, Tyson's frozen chicken tenders are more flavorful.
After our food came, our server was no where to be found for 30 minutes. Thankfully, other staff refilled our drinks in the interim. When our server came towards the end of our meal, we asked for our check. It took her another 20 minutes before we received our check.
I know Sunday brunch is a busy time, but with so many competitors in the area, the bar needs to be raised.
Fantastic fried chicken great date vibe.
Great social spot with pretty good food. Besides the saltiness of the fried chicken, everything was great.
We always have such a great experience at Hen Quarter!
We had dessert for the first time...OMG! The brownie waffles and the bread pudding were very delectable! A little sad I wasn't able to save any to take home for later!
Great brunch Buffett and mimosa deal. But a bit expensive. I recommend making a reservation and preparing to wait when you arrive, since it is a bit chaotic on a Saturday especially. Service is a tad bit slow but they keep up for the place being super packed,
We came on a Sunday around 1:30 pm for the buffet brunch. They have a great selection of items on the buffet. Fried chicken, baked chicken, chilled shrimp, mac n cheese, collard greens, grits, fried potatoes, chicken tenders and more!! Yum! There is also a made to order omelet and waffle station. The restaurant was packed. We had a reservation which is a good thing as I heard the hostess say that they couldn't accommodate walk-ins for brunch.
I want to go back and try some items from the dinner menu. This place will be a new restaurant staple for me.
Great food and service
Loved it! Our Waiter Nakita was amazing! I will definitely be coming back soon.
We had to ask for our server but other than that, everything was fantastic !
I have been here twice before and everything was fabulous. This night, however, the food was very slow coming out of the kitchen. And then when it finally got there, the waffles were cold! The chicken was good, but it had a slight burnt aftertaste, like it had been fried in old oil. Our waitress was very sweet and we were so hungry at that point, we just ate it. We were a little disappointed, but will try again.
Great Food!! I will be back to try more of the items offered on the menu
Great brunch- you can pick a la carte or buffet options. "Endless" mimosas were 25 cents for refills. Everyone had something different to eat, and everyone enjoyed their food.
I went for my birthday this past Saturday and it was absolutely amazing. Our server was great, the food was amazing. They had great portion sizes and it was worth the money you paid for each dish. I will absolutely be coming back!
I made a reservation ahead of time. I checked in and was seated within 5 minutes. We elected to do the brunch buffet. Food was good and they had a wide variety. It was busy so staff had trouble keeping up with refilling of food. Overall, no real complaints. We will eat there again!
The service was great! The food was delicious! I will be will be coming back
It was a great experience at the Hen Quarter. The service staff and manager were attentive and very polite! The food was everything we expected. Great portions, well prepared with delicious flavor. A return trip is a must!!
Our server was excellent (sorry for not picking her name but she is new to the area). Besides that everything else was average
Recently made some cuts to the menu that probably should have never been made (no more biscuit with dinner, no crab in hush puppies, no fried pork chop). My mashed potatoes were bland, they used to have the red skin left in them...now it was just a bit bland for a mashed potato. Don’t remember our servers name but she told us she was new to the area-she was great! Long wait due to very large party before which was understandable. The brownie waffle sundae with the berrys omg -it was amazing!
My husband and I had a reservation we ended up waiting a hour after our reservation when seated waited 20 mins just to get our order taken wrong food came out then what we ordered they ran out of this was our first and last visit
Went there for a valentines dinner for their pre set menu. Made a reservation for 8:30pm, wasn’t seated until about 9:30pm. Multiple guests, my date and I included, had to wait just to grab a table. Food came out somewhat in a timely manner, but quality was modest to low.
This would be a great place for brunch but perhaps not for dinner, let alone a Valentine’s Day dinner.
I don’t blame the restaurant entirely, but you won’t be finding me going out for a dinner on a Valentine’s Day weekend in the future. Patrons get sub par service and the workers are way overworked during this time of year. Better to go out the weekend before or after.
We were waiting for our reservation for an hour, and tables were available for 30 minutes. I had to find the host and ask. The waitress was unhelpful and the chicken and waffles were overcooked leg and thigh. The waitress disappeared again, leaving us to wait yet again for our check! Not worth the wait!
Despite a hectic Valentine's Day our meal was delicious! We had the Valentine's menu! Took awhile to eat but they were extremely busy! They should think about adding some of the food items on the special menu to their regular menu! Will definitely be back!
My first visit to hen quarters was on Valentine's Day it was very busy the service was still great the food was awesome I will recommend it
Good and service was good despite the kitchen being slowed down by a very large party. Overall, we had a nice dinner.
The food was good. Small portions for your money. Going on Valentine's Day, they had a good 4 course special. My husband and I enjoyed it.
The manager was great. The all around service was wonderful. One of my favorite brunch spots.
Made a reservation for 2 at 10:30 and arrived at 10:15 and was told it would be 15 minutes until we could be seated, which was fine. While waiting multiple people walked in with no reservations, with 1-2 people, and were seated before us. We were not seated until 10:40.
Food was okay and service during the meal was okay.
