I like a table in the back where there aren't big tables with lots of people. I have to say I've had the best French onion soup there that I've ever had. Love it.

We were seated at the back room behind a column so the noise level wasn't as bad as the front room here it seemed there as a large table of riotous fun. I had the best French onion soup I've ever had. You may think it's an easy dish to prepare, but done correctly it is veery complicated and the broth showed it - a deep flavor, spiced judiciously and with a delicate taste of fine white wine. I have become obsessed with this restaurant and want go once a week and taste my way through their menu dish by dish, week by week. I haven't felt this loyal to a restaurant for a long time.

Pros: Ambiance. The room is charming. Cons: Everything else. Food was terrible. Main courses (lamb and duck) were bland and not cooked to specifications. Flavors of the side dishes were just off and ill-conceived. Service was slow and indifferent. I would never go back here and can't recommend it.

Nice setting and ambiance. Solid menu and good wine/beverage list. Concern was the price point for some of the items. Example, pan seared chicken breast with a small side salad was north of $25.

The food was awesome. My wife had the white fish and I had the duck. Blue point oysters were clean and tasty. The crab cake was ok as it had a lot of filler. The craft cocktails were plenty but I didn't have time to try them all. I had the Manhattan noir and a goose martini. Don't know if our server was new but none of the specials were gone over or the desserts. It was disappointing when we heard the specials explained by another server. We will definitely be back. If you check in on Yelp Sunday through Thursday there is a coupon for 15% off of food.

We used to go here for breakfast, I had forgotten how nice it is for dinner. It's a relatively quiet and romantic place. The food was delicious and the portions allowed for hearty leftovers. Will be hard to choose breakfast/brunch or dinner!

This was our first time to eat at Hemingway's Bistro. My husband and I enjoyed the French style atmosphere. We asked several questions about the food and drinks and our server was helpful and knowledgeable. I ordered the endive salad to start. Then we appetizers Chicken liver pate and Shrimp de Jonge. everything was delicious. I also had a martini cucumber flavor (I forgot the name of it). Then the warm apple tart a la mode was heavenly. Overall it was a nice evening.

Memorable meal in every way. Fantastic range of options for food and bev. Each of our choices was executed very well. The service was expert — felt like a waiter we’d known for ages rather than our first experience. Ambience a great balance of lively, but still our own space for our own conversation. We’ll be back! Enjoyed oysters, foie gras, halibut, rabbit, apple tart, beignets, and fantastic French wines by the glass. Finished with Chartreuse Vert (hard to find these days).

Four of us enjoyed a delicious dinner at Hemmingway's Bistro. Steaks were especially good. Service was attentive and excellent though a bit hard to hear at times. A small printed menu of the specials would be helpful. We LOVED Andy Brown and Petra's music!

The food was terrible. We both got tummy aches afterwards. It was unclear where to check in. The host was not friendly and personable. The waitress didnt see interested in making any adjustments to our meal after voicing allergies and preferences. No flexible at all. We will never go back.

We loved the decor, ambiance and live music. Unfortunately we were disappointed that at our reservation time the people at our table had paid but didn’t leave. We felt the management should have done something to improve this situation and get us seated closer to our reservation time(they seated us over 15 minutes later). Also, the champagne seemed flat and the pork wasn’t cooked through(raw inside) and had to be sent back. Hopefully things will be better in the future.
