The food was out of this world good! The staff was amazing and wonderful to us! We eat in the bar area, the tall tables around the bar were nice but the chairs were too short. When you sat down you felt like a little child sitting at a standard table and really needed a high chair! So we moved to the bar and it was much more comfortable! Overall it was a great experience. But until they get taller chairs or shorter tables, stay away from the tall tables. I’ll definitely be back for a meal!

We arrived to our table to find freshly printed menus with our parties name on it, which was a neat touch. Our waiter was very entertaining and friendly. We tried the bread service, the baked potato service, and we each got different entrées. The baked potato was our favorite. We even had to get a picture to document the experience.

We were looking forward to trying Hemlock with our friends. We were always a fan of Richard’s and the new look is beautiful! The music was loud and when asked to turn it down they were happy to accommodate. The food was good we had salmon which was plated beautiful and the rest of us had a New York and the Zabuton steaks. The plating fell short but the steaks were cooked perfectly. They were out of there famous potatoes which was a huge disappointment. It was a Friday night so we weren’t sure what happened. They were also out of a wine and that was disappointing as well. The Brussel sprouts were great as well as the corn brûlée. The wedge salad was delicious and the Cesar salad was amazing. Service was great and our server was very knowledgeable however as mentioned it was disappointing to immediately hear that they were out of the potatoes. We will try the happy hour but I don’t think we will rush back anytime soon.

Beautiful space and very kind staff. Steaks were a little over cooked and our dessert was a little cold, but everything else was great. Prices seemed fair for portion and quality. Would go back and would recommend.

I came across a post from a friend who celebrated their anniversary at this restaurant, and the atmosphere and dishes looked incredible, which is why I want to celebrate mine there with my husband. Our dinner was exceptional - the filet mignon was expertly cooked and the ambiance was perfectly romantic. We're eagerly anticipating our next visit, when we can share this wonderful experience with friends and family, and create new memories together.

I highly recommend finding time to check this place out. I also recommend that you do make a reservation. It’s a little bit different of an experience. I’ve dined here twice for dinner and both times have been amazing meals with great staff with a beautiful atmosphere. Also enter from the street side vs the hotel entrance. Enjoy

I had fish and chips. The fish was excellent and lightly battered. The sauce was bland. The chips were good, as was the homemade ketchup. Wine was good. Had a good experience but do not think it was worth the price

Hands down the best meal I’ve had in Boise and I’ve tried them all. Gaucho Meatballs best I’ve had anywhere. Steaks and butters perfect combos and unique Yukon duck fat potatoes 👍 Excellent drink game too.

We have been to Richards the former restaurant at this location. We love what they have done with the remodel. We had a Happy Hour drink in the bar prior to dinner. It is totally upgraded and redecorated. The drinks were excellent. We had an early dinner. We were escorted to our table which was beautifully located by a window. We loved being placed at a 4 top table instead of being placed at a tiny 2 top when having an early dinner as many restaurants in Boise have a plan of action for 2 persons when the restaurant is empty. The service at the table was impeccable. The wine list was very limited which we hope they will change in the future. My husband had the sausage plate for an appetizer and I had the Caesar salad. Both were excellent. We felt the offerings for dinner were limited. They only had one fish option, no chicken, lamb, and limited pasta. My husband had the fillet for dinner and a had the mushroom vegetarian dish. His steak was excellent but the plate seemed barren when it was served. The mushroom dish was good but the broccolini was under cooked as was the side order of carrots that I ordered. Overall, it was great experience. We will probably come back from time to time because of the limited menu. The steak selections looked fabulous.
