Hemlock is obscenely overpriced, which is different than simply expensive. The service is earnest but uneven, though our server was enthusiastic and tried to be helpful. The restaurant tries the same methods as other "fine dining" restaurants: server takes order, someone else delivers food, but it doesn't work, in part because the staff is not trained well. The food is barely average, despite the prices. One notable offering is an expensive "prepared at the table" baked potato for two, which seems particularly ridiculous. I ordered a very expensive steak and no side dish. Remarkably, the steak came out entirely alone on a large white plate. The kitchen could not manage even sprig of parsley. One of the tackiest experiences I've had anywhere in the world. The wine list provides two choices: wines by the glass that are also available by the bottle--expensive but not outlandish. Then there is at the 'real' wine list, which is preposterous. It may be that they are too new to know what they're doing, but I don't predict success, despite being ensconced in a popular and attractive hotel. None of it is an experience I'm eager to repeat.

Happy to have the restaurant here. Food excellent and staff as good as it gets; Knowledgeable, attentive but not intrusive. Somewhat on the pricey side. It was noisy but will go back.

Unfortunately, out of the four $85+ steaks that we got, all of them were overcooked. The salmon was way overcooked and dry as well. Sides came out barely warm. When I did say something to the waitress, she got a manager who came over and said that he would give us a free dessert, (wow thanks a free dessert on a $600 dinner is nothing) but that didn’t happen on our check either! They want to compete with Chandler’s but they’re not even close.

The food was out of this world good! The staff was amazing and wonderful to us! We eat in the bar area, the tall tables around the bar were nice but the chairs were too short. When you sat down you felt like a little child sitting at a standard table and really needed a high chair! So we moved to the bar and it was much more comfortable! Overall it was a great experience. But until they get taller chairs or shorter tables, stay away from the tall tables. I’ll definitely be back for a meal!

We arrived to our table to find freshly printed menus with our parties name on it, which was a neat touch. Our waiter was very entertaining and friendly. We tried the bread service, the baked potato service, and we each got different entrées. The baked potato was our favorite. We even had to get a picture to document the experience.

We were looking forward to trying Hemlock with our friends. We were always a fan of Richard’s and the new look is beautiful! The music was loud and when asked to turn it down they were happy to accommodate. The food was good we had salmon which was plated beautiful and the rest of us had a New York and the Zabuton steaks. The plating fell short but the steaks were cooked perfectly. They were out of there famous potatoes which was a huge disappointment. It was a Friday night so we weren’t sure what happened. They were also out of a wine and that was disappointing as well. The Brussel sprouts were great as well as the corn brûlée. The wedge salad was delicious and the Cesar salad was amazing. Service was great and our server was very knowledgeable however as mentioned it was disappointing to immediately hear that they were out of the potatoes. We will try the happy hour but I don’t think we will rush back anytime soon.

Beautiful space and very kind staff. Steaks were a little over cooked and our dessert was a little cold, but everything else was great. Prices seemed fair for portion and quality. Would go back and would recommend.

I came across a post from a friend who celebrated their anniversary at this restaurant, and the atmosphere and dishes looked incredible, which is why I want to celebrate mine there with my husband. Our dinner was exceptional - the filet mignon was expertly cooked and the ambiance was perfectly romantic. We're eagerly anticipating our next visit, when we can share this wonderful experience with friends and family, and create new memories together.

I highly recommend finding time to check this place out. I also recommend that you do make a reservation. It’s a little bit different of an experience. I’ve dined here twice for dinner and both times have been amazing meals with great staff with a beautiful atmosphere. Also enter from the street side vs the hotel entrance. Enjoy
