Had a reso at 8 but didn’t get table till 845 because Hemingway’s over booked.

Great bar food for a good price. The jambalaya is bland though

Staff is working hard to to keep the areas very clean and monitoring guests

Was such a pleasure to be there the moment the lockdown ended - 12:01am on June 24th 2020.

The staff were friendly and the vibe was surreal.

The food was great, service was fast, and enjoyed the 'indoor' patio. The only issue I had was the temperature seemed to fluctuate from too hot to too cold. It could be down to where we were seated. Regardless, I would come back again.

Went here for new years and enjoyed the cute and punny atmosphere. However, it could be spruced up as it's a bit drab but otherwise a good experience!

We went for their NYE party and reserved for dinner beforehand as well. The service was great very friendly and helpful, and the food was good pub-grub. Not super-expensive either, so a good value.
And I'd tell you more about the NYE party, but what happens at Hemingway's stays at Hemingway's!

other than the seating for 5 at a table probably meant for 4 it was a nice time.
it was very busy when we arrived but it was Christmas Day so you can expect that.
would definately return again.

Great casual dining/bar. Noisey but not too loud. Tasty food, good choices. Great location.

We booked Christmas Day for brunch, as their website advertised brunch on holidays. Nope. I left a note fir restaurant to advise me if they don't serve brunch on Christmas Day, to no response. The table the booked for us on their rooftop heated patio right next to the emergency door was subject to multiple freezing drafts going through multiple cracks in dry wall, you could see the street through them no problem. This table shouldn't be offered in general (there should be no tables placed in that spot, it is just a pure health & safety violation). The hostess was borderline rude. The waitress was fine, and food tasty. Many items on the lunch menu were unavailable. Very disappointed, I used to like this spot. Won't be back.

A fun and busy spot for Christmas lunch - who knew?! Turkey dinner looked great but I was going out for mine later so had good burger and Christmas Caesars!

I took 2 clients here, it is my go to place in Yorkville. Food was, our server Nicole was super funny - I love it here!!! Today I came without a reservation, I sat upstairs and watched big giant snow flakes fall, shared pad Thai and a crispy chicken sandwich - it was magical :)

Hemingway's has a great vibe, a place where everyone seems to be enjoying myself. The serving staff was attentive and interactive with my table (teasing us as he walked by). It was a bit noisy there, but then, it WAS American Thanksgiving and they had the football game on. Their Thanksgiving special was good value and delicious - $19 for turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, carrots, Brussel sprouts, cranberry sauce, gravy ... And a slice of Pumpkin pie with whipped cream! I will definitely be going back to Hemingway's soon... (Tonight in fact!)

We sat upstairs under heaters. It was either cold or too hot as the heaters could not maintain an even temp. The food and service was very good but not sure I want to return in the winter.

No fuss place to hang out with friends, drink and watch sports.

We enjoyed going to Hemingway's for a light dinner after a performance. The venue is well located in Yorkville, but the prices are less than you would expect for a Yorkville spot. Great fish and chips (very generous).

Very reasonably priced, fun place! Food menu is huge, tough to choose, but everything is very well made, this was my second time here and was quite happy both times. Service was a little bit slow, but servers were cheerful and nice. We shall be back again:-)

Great Brunch spot. They have a covered & heated patio (it's November). Love their house potato

This restaurant was very crowded and extremely loud, so if you want to have a conversation during dinner, it's next to impossible. The servers are extremely busy so this translate to poor service. My husband's soup and entrée were brought to him at the same time even though they did not fit on the table (which are very tiny). I couldn't wait to finish my meal and leave as soon as possible. Would not recommend to anyone.

Had a great night at Hemingway’s. Food, service, drinks was spot on!!! It was really loud and close to the tables next to us which made it hard to hear it other at times. However it was a Friday night so or be expected.

We always wanted to eat a traditional Thanksgiving meal, and we finally got to do so at Hemingway's! The portion size was fantastic and totally value for money. The pumpkin pie was delicious!

While at one time I would have recommended Hemingway's for food, after this lunch experience I will think twice on it. The food was average. The restaurant/bar is a great place for drinks and that is what I would recommend it for.

I liked it, just loud and tables were really close together , I felt like I was sitting with strangers.

Worst service, worst food ever. We had a reservation. There for four of us. Our food was delivered separately so we did not eat together. The food was awful. While we sit outside, that was the only thing we liked. The salt and pepper and ketchup was all gross smothered in goo so when you picked them up you thought they were so gross. We had to wait for cutlery EACH time they brought food. Disgusting. Considering this is in Yorkville, I thought it would be a great place ! Not !

My food came with a hair in it. Disgusting. But the wait staff apologized and replaced my order and took it off the bill. Still I found it difficult to enjoy my meal after that

Hidden gem in pricey Yorkville. Genuinely friendly bartender and waiter; good selection of beers and the food was very tasty.

Top deck was very noisy. Chicken wrap was good but not exceptional.

A good affordable patio in downtown Toronto. The views aren't great but the ambiance more than makes up for it. The menu is vast, so it's perfect for a group with different taste buds. The food itself is good, nothing amazing. I'd come here again to hang out with friends who all want to eat something different.

We were staying in the area so came twice! Love the kiwi theme. Particularly nice on a hot summers day. Great atmosphere and service.

loved the airy patio seating with easy views to game on tv. $5 mimosas, caesars, and bloody mary’s can’t be beat!

Dont reccomend. Bad service and food. Maybe it was the day or maybe try other restaurants in the area?

We opted for the this venue as our home base, to watch the Final Game of the FIFA Women's World Cup Series. We had many Friends and Family visiting and staying in Yorkville Hotels.
So,we chose the 'Upper Deck Patio" and since our group was fairly large, we were spread out across several tables; all with a great view of the Game on the many 'Big Screen TV's'.

Awesome Food combined with Superb Service (With that special 'Kiwi Twist').

Made our reservations with friends. We have been going there for decades and as always the food is nicely presented and the value is good. A mixture of ages frequent this place. Our friends give it a thumbs up.
