IT'S ALL IN THE NAME! THE VIBE, THE FOOD, THE SERVICE!
Tiny team doing the absolute most and achieving the best. Don't skip the tartare au poivre avec frites or the octopus with mole - both were exceptional, as were the mackerel half fish and the burrata with chicharrones. The heaters the team has placed will be a great addition, and as it was they had a bomb hot toddy that combatted the chills, and the tiki drinks on the menu pair nicely with the food. I called it "the hazelnut thingie" but the posset dessert is a nice finish for your meal. Service is lovely and prompt per usual from this team, I hope to visit again soon.
Who knew a makeshift restaurant in a parking lot could be one Helluva Time? Commending the team for doing such a great job making their guests feel safe, yet giving everyone the closest feeling of normalcy since the pandemic. Dinner at Helluva Time was the most perfect escape from the craziness of 2020.
Excellent evening dining al fresco. Food and service were excellent. Maybe that's just the cocktails talking? 12/10 would eat and drink there again.
As an output of All Day Baby, I was expecting their nighttime pop up to include a tasting menu that was southern comfort inspired. The menu was all over the place. We order every menu item except the headcheese and everything felt disjointed. We went from Asian fusion to German beer cheese and a pretzel. Strange at best but overall not a memorable experience. They’ve done little to make you forget you’re dining in a parking lot too.
Fantastic food, fantastic hospitality! Loved the steak tartare in particular.
Food was not tasty.
It's so great to have a fine dining experience after all this time. Outdoors, and the tables were well spaced so I felt totally safe - while still being a relatively intimate space. Food and cocktails were all great, especially the Tomato dish and the Yuzu Posset dessert!
Service a little slow and expensive for what it is
The food was ok but the options were limited and they charge $2 for lackluster hot sauce.
I took my wife here for a birthday breakfast and we loved the food and service.
Everything about it was just ok, but def not worth the price point.
They would benefit from having more vegan/ vegetarian options. There was only one option and it was very salty.
Sorry, food was so-so. The ambience doesn’t warrant $15 cocktails but they were well made. Inside feels like a McDonalds with a liquor license.
So good! Must get the white fish dip and biscuit sammy! There wasn’t a dish we didn’t like. Great wine and drink selection as well. Will definitely be back!
Food was excellent and very creative! It’s a super fun place!
It is the greatest
Been serval times
Every dish is outstanding
Can’t wait to go back
The server was very nice and attentive. Although the restaurant was somewhat empty, they’d seated a gentleman directly right next to me who eventually began a conversation with me! I came for a quiet breakfast and ended up having the opposite. Other than that, the portion size of the food was great and the cappuccinos were excellent!
Omg! Loved everything! Best hot cake I’ve ever had! Chicken was so damn perfect. Chef is on my top 3 of LA list. Lien does an amazing job! Abby was holding it down! I’ll be back a million times, and I can’t stop talking about ADB 😘
So loud! The sound seems to travel across the room. The food is great though.
Perfect breakfast and lunch spot for friends and family!
Best place ever!! Highly recommend.
Visited recently with my bff for a brunch and received the kindest and best service from Margaret the server and Jasmine the hostess. We loved the brussels sprouts and shrimp bolognese grits and banana pie! Thank you!
This is my second time and ADB. I had to come back to try more items that I could not fit the first time around. Still need to go back. Delicious. Beautiful presentation.
The food was solid. But when service is terrible, it doesn’t matter how good the food is. Servers were inattentive and rude. I was excited to try this restaurant in my neighborhood, but the service was disappointing.
Love you guys.
This is fantastic place
Everything on the menu is so flavorful and beautifully presented
The service is excellent
I have been several and will keep going back
We were warmly welcomed and quickly sat.
The service was friendly and fast.
The menu has many great choices. I had the shrimp and grits. It was amazing.
The prices are very fair for the high quality of food.
I will be there again.
So friendly the staff! They made it so easy and enjoyable dining out w our baby
Everything was delicious. My favorites were the hot cake and the banana bread! Will definitely go back and try other items on the menu!
Almost half hour delay from my reservation time and I had to check back in a second time because they told me they'd find me but actually were waiting for me to find them. Food was great though!
Food amaaaaazing if priced higher than average.... however compared to other restaurants in the area where plates are priced $2-4 less, everything we ate was absolutely delicious. Smoked beef and cheese sandwich, little gems salad, ricotta hot cakes, and silver lake spritzers... would do all of these dishes again no question, but also want to try other things on the menu!
We came on New Years days with a lunch res, and it felt busy... not where you’d linger at the table after you’re done eating. Maybe on another day it would feel more relaxed.
This place is just awesome! Food is comforting yet inventive, service is super warm, and the design is beautiful. Can't recommend enough! Seriously!
There are only two vegan options (appetizers) and it’s not possible to have any substitutions.
Some items we're good, but low value (fried catfish sandwich, $15 and comes with no sides). Most were bad (unseasoned, and similarly with no sides for the price point like the country fried skirt steak). Hotcake was tasty, but it was one hotcake for $15. French toast was more like bread pudding.
Service lackluster, tiniest table for 4 considering the plates are physically large. Server asked if we needed forks when taking away the tables silverware (seriously?). And they missed an item (side of eggs), and eventually it came out when everyone was done eating.
Overhyped, lackluster food.
Food was good. Very rich. Service was amateur, especially for the price.
They told me that they were out of biscuits and literally everyone else in the establishment was served a biscuit while I was there.
We had a wonderful breakfast. Good service, overall. Noise level pretty high, prices very high for breakfast, but the portions were decent and food quality wonderful. Overall a great experience
I'll preface this by saying that I live on the west side, and I have absolutely no problem driving all the way to Silver Lake to come here on a regular basis.
I've visited several times since All Day Baby opened (around 12pm every time), and the experience has only gotten better with each visit. The place is always packed, and has a cozy neighborhood feel to it.
The food & drinks are incredible. Everything that I've tried so far - from the various biscuit sandwiches, to the Smoked Beef & Cheese Sandwich, to the pastries, to the salads, to the cocktails - has exceeded expectations. I haven't eaten my way through the whole menu yet, but I'm sure I'll get there soon.
Really excited to try the dinner options once they're available as well!
