OVER 18'S ONLY. Helgi’s design takes inspiration from Orkney’s Viking past - a traditional pub with a slate floor and wooden panelled walls - it’s small but perfectly formed.
Helgi's provides the perfect setting for adults to wind down and relax, whether it’s a lunch time catch up with friends, a teatime pint with colleagues or a celebration with family. At the weekends, Helgi's is also a bustling bar with drinkers and is a great stop off on a night out. Our upstairs seating area is an attractive room with great harbour views and the room can also be booked privately for functions. We boast a friendly, experienced and hard working bar team who are always willing to help.
Our menu has evolved greatly since we first opened in 2009, but we still stick to our original ethos of producing quality comfort food which is homemade using as much locally sourced produce as possible. Our menu caters for more tastes and more dietary requirements than ever before.

    Food was very good although a limited menu and we were put upstairs when there were empty tables downstairs one couple got up and left saying they weren’t going to be ignored shame really more training maybe

    Very charming room! I enjoyed the Viking stories along the walls especially. The food was good but uninspired. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening

    The service was charming, the gin & tonic refreshing - but the curry was the least flavorful I’ve ever tried. I did not know it was even possible to make curry taste so bland.

    Good food at a fair price. The only thing I knocked it down for was the cold air rush every time the front door was opened.

    Helgi’s was disappointing. It looks run down, staff looks tired and uninterested, food is mediocre. A good cocktail list but that’s pretty much the only thing that’s going for this place

    I always enjoy an evening at Helgi's. The food is good and staff are nice. They offer a good selection of drinks and cocktails. There is always a nice feeling in the place.

    I perhaps wouldn't have scored as hard had there been any service. We had to clear our own table. The one staff member appeared bored and uninterested. I thought it was expensive for lunch.
