Food was delicious but service was HORRIBLE! Two drinks came out and then our other three friends drink came 15 to 20 minutes later -our entrées came out all but one and that one came out 10 to 15 minutes after the rest of us had finished. Bar was chaos. Our server had forgotten to put in one entree. Disorganized!
My first time here, I arranged to meet with relatives visiting from out of town. They were as pleased as I was with the service, food and ambiance. A bit noisy at first because there was a Birthday celebration but once the doors to the party room were closed we were able to dine and chat and have an overall pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended for a great dining gathering
Unfortunately, the Valentine’s Day experience was disappointing. The service, food quality, and value were less then impressive! The white fish was bland, and the lamb dumplings were burnt. With a predetermined menu the excuse that it “was busy” makes no sense when explaining the poor level of service. This all was cloaked in a $200 check for 3 which was way other priced. We will not be returning considering the level and options for fining dining in Houston.
Great food and such a cute restaurant. Servers could be a little more attentive. Overall great experience
Walked in and it was a little slow, but I think that’s because of the time we went. I was ok with not many people being in there. Staff was very friendly and the food was amazing! Loved where it is too. It’s very close to where we live. The happy hour menu is seriously an amazing deal for your money! We got 3 appetizers, a bottle of wine, and dessert with less than $60! It’s a bi e restaurant so I thought that was pretty good!
The food was VERY underwhelming. The dip trio was pretty good--fish was bland.
When you first walk in you feel very comfortable. Greeted with a smiling hostess. Immediately received water at the table. Waitress, Sid, was friendly and very informative about everything on the menu including wine.
This was an excellent dining experience from the appetizers to dessert!

We will definitely return!!!
The menu changed significantly and lot of previous options were gone. Hopefully it comes back.
Helen's in the Heights was a perfect place for our date night! The food was delicious and the over all experience was great. The staff was informed and friendly.
We had not been in awhile. It was DELICIOUS.
Everything was really nice. My clients were all happy.
We decided to try again...sadly it's still just MEH.
WE REALLY WANT TO LOVE THIS PLACE because we live so close...but it doesn't hold a candle to the Village location
Food was great. Very noisy.
From the valet service through the end of the meal this experience was great! The social atmosphere was energizing. Lots of seen and be seen Houstonians out for dinner on this night. Overall great experience.
Delicious food. Service was impeccable. It was super quiet on a Thursday night which was odd for us and the staff. Hopefully it was just a fluke because this restaurant should be full. We devoured every dish: the whole fish, vegetables, the citrus fennel salad and the soft icecream. I’d go again in a heartbeat.
Great Brussels sprout salad, orange and fennel salad, lamb shank. Dolmades were tasteless. Noisy venue.
Overpriced for what you get and service was pretty sub par considering the expense of the place
We came for a family dinner with 3 generations, and had an absolutely fabulous time!
Shaved Brussels salad was wonderful!
The attmosphere is very relaxed, and the food was quite good. I tried the octupus, branzino fish, and cauliflower and all were good.
Great food, great service!!!
The food and wine were outstanding—so interesting. The service was top-notch as well.
Food was very good. Just not our style but tasty.
Service excellent. Extremely loud, so all of us had to talk loudly the entire meal.
Enjoyed it. Good food and service.
Octopus was not on point today and the fish was a bit dry.
Not the best day for the chef.
I really loved the quail. The ambiance was nice and romantic. Their wine selection is very tasty. My boyfriend ordered the ‘greek lasagna’ and got sick for a couple of days. We are still trying to figure out what exactly got him. I’d still visit again though
The food and service are outstanding! The restaurant is a little noisy though.
The New Years Eve special was very good. Plenty to split the meal with a couple of appetizers.
Out of our wine which is always disappointing.
We have been several times and this time the service wasn’t great. It took awhile for someone to greet us when we walked in. Then we waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. Our particular service was horrible; however, The food was delicious and everything we had was wonderful. The service around us seemed to be fair, our particular waiter was very slow and hardly came to our table and didn’t seem to be thrilled he was working. They had other waiters that would fill up your drinks and bring food which was great because they would help us out when we were waiting. Overall a good place to go. Hopefully it was just a one off situation.
We had dinner with some friends who came in from Pittsburgh. Food was fantastic but our server was the worst. He neglected us and when ordered for he was damn near belligerent. As if it was a great inconvenience for him. I won’t come back. So embarrassing for us with out of town guests
My birthday brunch!
We have dined here many times and enjoyed each experience. The staff is knowledgeable and engaging and the food and wine selection is excellent.
Some of the best food we’ve ever had. From food to service to wine and atmosphere and even management, it is all amazing. We had the octopus and lamb shank with a bottle of wine recommended by the som and it was all outstanding. I have heard amazing things about the dips and I wish we were in town long enough to go again. Worth the drive if it is far and the prices are great. Such great prices for the quality of food you get, I expected it to be much more. This will become your fave date night for sure.
Great food and service
Drink cocktails try to be too original and most are bad.
menu is very limited
We were happy to have a warm place after walking over 4 miles for lights in the Heights. Our server was very good at answering our questions. I choose two small plates rather than an appetizer. Among the 6 of us we had a good sampling of the menu. We would happily return on another occasion. Only complaint would be the noise level that was greater than we would have liked.
this place has changed since the last time we were here... it was not very busy for a thursday night..almost empty. The food was not as good as we remembered it to be. Portions of main entrees were skimpy. The wine guy a bit cocky for our taste... We love the original location in West U & this was our 3rd time at this location. Not sure what's going on but it's expensive for what you get and frankly there are too many great places to eat in the heights now.
I would not exactly call it Greek food...Greek fusion maybe. I know it is hard to compare to the traditional Greek food from Chicago....but close it is not. We had the fish. It may be Mediterranean fish and fresh, but a $52 fish with tomato sauce (not traditional Greek style) cost twice that of two of my favorite Chicago restaurants with no sides included. And no it was not a bigger fish. We were neither overly impressed with the preparation. It was tasty but not superb. Dessert was good. Our waitress was sweet and tried her best to provide a wonderful eating experience. Ok overall, but not great.
Unique place with good food, good service, reasonable prices, plenty of parking.
