We had an amazing time at Heist! We sat in a banquette at the front of the restaurant which was bright and lively. We met Denis, the manager, who was extremely helpful and friendly. The thin crust margarita pizza was the best we’ve ever had! Also had the penna alla vodka and steak frites which were both great too. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to return!

Heist was definitely mediocre. Our server was great, but everything else was subpar. It took over 45 minutes for our mains to come out after our appetizers were cleared. Some of the food was good, some wasn’t. Definitely not worth the price you’re paying, in my opinion. Probably won’t be back.

We had an incredible dinner at The Heist in downtown Kingston! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. Our server Andrew was amazing — friendly, attentive, and quick with great recommendations. He made us feel so well taken care of. The food and drinks were outstanding. We started with fresh oysters that were perfectly chilled and flavorful. For mains, we had the chicken parm, fungi pizza, seared pickerel, and sirloin steak — every dish was cooked beautifully and full of flavor. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was rich, decadent, and the perfect sweet ending. Also, shoutout to the bartender — they make a mean gin martini! 🍸 We can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend for a night out in Kingston!

I have to admit,I was disappointed. My girlfriend made reservation 6 days in advance. We arrived promptly at 7:45 pm. There seemed to be confusion as to our reservation. While we were waiting another couple came to the desk with their waitress complaining about there table. The hostess chose to ignore us and focus on the other couple. Eventually we were escorted to our table. The hostess stopped at a table for 2 right by the kitchen and adjacent to a main walk through. She asked if this table was acceptable. I said no it was not. It was loud and busy. She then took us to one of the dining rooms and offered us a table for 2 in the corner which was fine. Our original reservation was for dining room so I was confused. Andrew was our waiter. He came and offered us water but then it was some time before he came back to ask us about drinks. Overall, his service was adequate but not exceptional. For apps I ordered shrimp cocktail and my girlfriend had the seared scallops. She really enjoyed her scallops. I felt the shrimp cocktail were underwhelming. Rather undersized although the seafood sauce was very flavorful. For dinner I order the duck ragout with tagliatelle noodles. Very delicious. My girlfriend ordered the meal medallions. We both felt they were underseasoned. Some acid would have really brightened the dish. Both our desserts were delicious. Creme caramel and sticky toffee pudding. I found the wine list quite interesting yet lacking decent value options. There were some great wines but they were quite expensive. Heist presents itself as a high end dining experience. They have a nice venue and plenty of staff but to me the wow factor was missing. My girlfriend and I are both quite accomplished in the kitchen. We go out for dinner for the dining experience. We don't mind paying but expect value. Unfortunately, Heist did not provide that wow factor which is relaxed yet professional venue, solid service and memorable food. Likely we will not return.

Went to Kingston for a girls getaway and can’t say enough great reviews of this place !!! After extensive research online where we should eat dinner — this place did NOT disappoint!! service-attentive & professional (SOO refreshing these days in hospitality!!) even got a full restaurant tour from the manager Bathrooms- stunning ! Drinks- innovative (sexy stemware too!!) Food- Y-U-M overall- we can’t stop talking about the evening and thank the staff (Jack & Kaya the fab bartenders for an unforgettable experience!!

A true pleasure to dine with The Heist. Having already recommended this charming restaurant to friends, I am already contemplating our next visit. We were a table of four and each of us ordered completely different entres. From steak to fish to vegetarian and vegan dishes , each served beautifully and a culinary experience for us all. The vegan cheese cake was a delight however I have to say the scallops were amazing! Thank you, Heist! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We were extremely pleased with all aspects of our dinner at Heist. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, lovely atmosphere, an excellent menu and very well prepared and tasty dishes. The nature of this restaurant translates to a bit more pricey of an experience, however, the quality in all respects make it well worthwhile. We split an arrancino appetizer (turned out to be the right idea) and it was superb. We each had a main course - gnocchi with garlic cream sauce and chicken parmesan. Both were outstanding and very healthy portions - we took some home. The gnocchi were pillowy soft and the cream sauce wonderful. The chicken parm was perfectly prepared and very large, particularly as it came with some pasta. We split a very nice red from Portugal - the least expensive bottle on the menu but an excellent wine for dinner. All in all, we could find no fault with our dinner and will return.

Oysters were amazing. Food was not worth the money and inconsistent portions. Service was terrible. Server talked down to us every time I asked for something. First was I wanted to order my oysters and then view the menu. She told me I needed to order everything at the same time. Then when my steak came out (which was overcooked) I kindly asked for a steak knife and she told me to use my butter knife. Not a great experience
