New Years Eve dinner for our anniversary. Had a reservation, and walked in at our time, we were seated immediately. Atmosphere was amazing and noise was normal for restaurant seating. Food was exceptional as it was a year ago when we got married.
Only one hiccup with our server. He tried but I don't know if it was because of New Years or just forgot. We had an appetizer, salads, and two meals. Only issue was, the meals never came but the check did, then 1 plate came out afterwards, still missing the second plate. We chalked it up to all the other issues surrounding America with being short staffed due to Covid / New Years Eve.
Still some awesome food and nice ambiance! Definitely will be going back.
The food was excellent, I enjoy the atmosphere, and the service there is excellent. I will definitely be back
Delicious food and romantic atmosphere
The place was nice. The menu looked amazing. But the food was average and lacking. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Only got 3/4 of the waffle and the chicken tenders were so small that they most have come frome a Cornish game hen and it was missing ingredients. My wife got the biscuits and gravy. When biscuits is plural you expect more than one but sadly no,just one. Came with two eggs. They looked like they came from the Cornish hens the get the tenders from. Service was slow but that it everywhere. I believe that we hit them at a bad time. I feel like that they are better than what they gave us the day after Christmas. I am sure they were very short staffed
What a great spot we found for Christmas Eve! We were traveling through and wasn't sure what would be open. But lucky for us, Heirloom was! Fried chicken is amazing as were the drinks from the bar. Service was very attentive. We really appreciate the service on a holiday!!
As usual, Heirloom never disappoints. Food was on point, staff was friendly and attentive. Great place for a great meal!
We had the best seats in the place. We had couch seats on one side right by the window.... PERFECT!! The food was amazing & service was exceptional!! We will be back again!! Love Heirloom Eatery!!!
Took an extended time for our wine and specialty cocktail to come to table but I believe it was a bartender issue not server. Rest of the service was very good. Food was delicious. Dale our server was delightful. Worth stopping again if we are in town again
Food was great as usual! Service was great as well! Nice dining experience!
Great food, but felt very rushed which really made it less enjoyable, the waitress said we have to put your order, then rushed us to desert, and the check. For 140.00 Thanksgiving meal I would not go back
Food was cold dry and tasteless. I've had better dressing from a box.Very disappointing.
We enjoyed a delicious meal and excellent service. Highly recommend for a special occasion.
Our server was fantastic and helpful. The food was delicious, and we had a wonderful time.
Brunch was disappointing - slow service (apparently understaffed). I ordered the "Eggs Your Way" with the chicken and apple sausage and the fresh fruit. The eggs were fine, the sausage unremarkable, and the fresh fruit, well, someone doesn't know to core the pineapple and the honeydew was crunchy. Exactly one blueberry. My friend ordered the farm salad but was given the harvest salad; she said it was good, but she was disappointed - only later did we realize the order was messed up. No bread, no muffins, no toast, no nuthin'. That, plus a glass of OJ, cost $25.
We have dined here many times but Sunday brunch this visit was a disappointment. The food was cold, the coffee was weak and the service was less than optimal.
Food was good and we had a nice time tonight
Our server was extremely nice and helpful. The food was amazing, and we sat on the patio, which was very relaxing.
Most of menu items historically known to be raved about in ratings were not available and even homemade biscuits were gone. Grilled chicken was so salty I couldn't eat it in my salad. Trout was gone, so they made swordfish which was ok
Dessert of chocolate mouse described with brownie was missing the brownie. We felt misled in eating here. Daily special is only for the day, so someone rating the duck special means only duck that day.
My wife and I have loved this restaurant. Unfortunately during our last visit we were not impressed. My wife’s potatoes, which only come with the steak, were burnt to the point they could not be cut. Their taste was sour. My fries were undercooked, hard and raw on the inside as if they had been fried long enough to become light yellow. The burger I ordered was missing bacon, over cooked and the bun was burnt. I understood the mistakes at the time. Their was a larger party (maybe 20 people) whose order was ahead of ours. When I asked our waitress for new fries, the missing bacon and new potatoes for my wife, the manager (I believe because she did not introduce herself) approached our table. She said she could get new fries and the bacon, but adamantly denied our request to receive the potatoes my wife ordered. Apparently they are prepared with the steak and could not be prepared exclusively. I settled with the burnt bun and overcooked burger. Little did she know, the potatoes are my wife’s favorite part of the meal. I was unable to explain this since she was adamant in excusing my request. While my wife did receive a new side, by the time she did her steak was cold. When I received my bacon and new fries, they were burnt beyond consumption. The fries were as red as clay. Most uneatable. I believe my preference of cooked fries was misunderstood. Overall our visit, which was for our anniversary and was noted on our reservation, was not great. I do not expect perfection, but a customer should expect satisfaction. That meal and visit, excluding the service of our waitress, was not satisfactory.
Wofford Parents Weekend
Some good, some not so good; cauliflower too Smokey and too fried, perhaps a light tempura batter (not very Southern, but…), Fried Green Tomatoes were good, burger big, heavy, asked for medium, came pretty well done, but ok. Salad was good.
We love Heirloom & their entrees always impress. One of their gems is the tiny biscuits they bring while you wait, but this week, they were regular sized and not as buttery/flavorful. In fact two had a burnt edge. So seems they have a new biscuit maker or someone is subbing in ... won't stop us from going tho - ha! This is our date night default b/c it's perfect for a non-kid experience. (very few if any kids are ever seen here) We did try a dessert once and were terribly disappointed (there was a clear alcohol taste even tho not disclosed as having alcohol in it & there was fake-smoke flavor too ... ) so we just don't get dessert there. We finally got the special alcove couch booth this time b/c of a request via Open Table so that was fun. I didn't like hearing that subbing in any side was a $2 upcharge ... the sides are small so there really shouldn't be a charge - as some of us have food allergy and diet preferences.
We were greeted timely and given our seating preference. The chef was visiting tables and seemed on top of service and engaged . Drinks took a while to be made ( not served) and were delivered as soon as they were made by various service staff indicating that their beverage running system is efficient. My friend ordered a more complex cocktail so that can take some time. Food was delivered in a timely manner and we had just the right amount of time between courses. Everything was the right temperature and presented well and tasted great.
Our server was great. I have years of experience in fine and casual dining and I could tell that she knew her menu well snd could answer questions and make recommendations. She was friendly and I could tell she was working hard. I was impressed.
Had the chicken and my daughter had the burger . Both were great . Staff was wonderful .
I realize short staffing effects the restaurant business… but the amount of time we waited for appetizers, drinks, and our dinners was ridiculous.
Additionally, we requested the outside fans be turned on due to the humidity and we were told they had not worked in over 6 months due to a lost remote.
We enjoyed our meal on the patio
Food is excellent!
They were renovating the dining room so we were seated in a small side room. Still nice. Our server was excellent. Looking forward to returning.
Would have enjoyed a couple more appetizer options that weren’t fried, and also since I’m not an okra fan, it seemed as though everything came with okra
Attractive restaurant. Both indoor and patio seating. Full bar with specialty cocktails, wine and beer. Good menu, but somewhat limited. My business associate had the shrimp & grits and said they were excellent. I had the trout and it was very good. Pricing is what is to be expected in a restaurant of that caliber. Good overall experience.
We’ve been wanting to try Heirloom, and we were not disappointed! Nice menu selections, and all delicious.
We were the only people in the restaurant at 7pm on Monday night and it took over 20 minutes to get a drink! We realize it's difficult to find good help right now but this was beyond belief! We didn't stay for dinner, so I can't comment on the food. I'd stay away from this place-too many other good options in the area.
We really enjoyed ourselves. The food was very good. My wife had the shrimp and grits and I had the burger. We both lo ed what we got and filled up quickly. The atmosphere was lovely and we had a great table with a window next to us. We will be back.
It was good, our reservation was an hour before closing. They were out of some things and it took a minute to get our food. Most everything was tasty. A few glitches like the kitchen was closed once we got our food. 🙄
Very tasty menu Portions filling & service quick & friendly.
A little tricky to find since we are not from Spartanburg, but we’ll worth the journey.
Beautiful place. Had appetizers—fried okra, grilled oysters, and fried squash. Each was delicious. For the main, I chose the fried chicken breast with pimento Mac and cheese, along with grilled Brussel sprouts. It was great! Everyone at our table enjoyed their food. We will certainly be back!
First time going here. Good was excellent and so was the service. Will be going back.
Green fried tomatoes excellent . Cocktails like no other
Great food--just wish they had more appetizers to go with the delicious cocktails they serve, which would be so nice to eat while sitting outside talking with friends.
