Heirloom - Midway Ratings and Reviews
As usual, this restaurant is fantastic. The location, the food, the people, all of it is what I expect from a high end restaurant and my wife and I love returning here each time. While the menu retains some of the fan favorites, it also gets updated fairly regularly to include new options that I have yet to be disappointed by. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
Everything was delicious! Husband was leery of ordering the poached lobster, but he absolutely loved the dish! He also loved the scallop entree and even ate the carrots! My mahi mahi was cooked perfect. It was served with sunchokes which I have never eaten but they are now a favorite. Waitress was a delight! A perfect evening on a snowy night.
We made a reservation early in December to have dinner at Heirloom on New Year's Eve. The day prior one of the staff called and told us there would be a set menu with four courses for $85 per person. She asked if that was agreeable, and I said yes. To our recollection there have not been that many courses in the past, and the restaurant has not always had a set menu. The food was excellent. However after the second course, my husband and I were full. We ended up taking the third course (steak, crab cake, and Brussel sprouts) home. We nibbled at the dessert (ice cream would probably not have stayed frozen if we had tried to take it home!). Our long tradition of eating at Heirloom on New Years Eve may have to end unless there are other options in the future. We love this place, but are not going to be willing to pay that much for a meal we cannot begin to finish.
We visited Heirloom for a special birthday dinner. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They made you feel special and like you were the only people in the place. The food was excellent and the ambience was amazing. Even though our drive is well over an hour, we will be visiting Heirloom on a regular basis. Well done Heirloom!
I was so excited to go to Heirloom. There were only two tables being served the day we went ( day after xmas). I ordered the pasta and was told they were "out" of pasta. The server was apologetic but I was highly disappointed since the menu is limited. I went with a Caesar salad add Shrimp. Overall the salad was good. It would have been nice to have some bread and butter to snack on. I would still go back, but I think for prices like that all menu options should be readily available or provide a broader menu to choose from. The other guests with me were highly satisfied with their lunch of chicken and liver.
This was our first visit to the Heirloom. It was recommended by a friend and a great choice for my wife's birthday. From the greeting at the door (Emma) to the service at the table it exceeded our expectations. I am sorry that I can't recall the name of the lady that served us. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and personable. The food presentation and taste were on point. You can be sure that we will return.
Are here for a second time on a trip to Georgetown, KY. Although crowded due to many holiday parties, the service was excellent and the food arrived in a timely fashion and well prepared. Some members of the party enjoyed the extensive selection of local Bourbons. Nice variety on the menu, all thoughtfully prepared with selections to please vegetarians. Would recommend the cheese board to share as an appetizer.
Very disappointing. I have been going to Heirloom for years. My recent visit was truly an upset. I won't be going back for a while. My burger was so undercooked, it was dangerous. My Father was kind enough to pretend his burger was good, when really it was undercooked as well. While my Father tried to endure his burger, I sat there and waited for my burger to be cooked more. Well, it finally came back and it was so overcooked that I could barely eat it. It also showed up with no mayonnaise, no knife and no lettuce, which it originally had on it. I then, waited again, for hem to bring those missing items to me. The server asked how it was and I could not help but be truthful. I told her it was waaaayy overcooked. She explained the stovetops were so hard to cook on and that the owner was in Mexico and the people in the kitchen could not control the grill. WOW!!!! Thanks Heirloom. I promise I'll come back. Make sure your restaurant is warm nd cozy before you disappoint your loyal patrons!!!!
