Great food and service. Excellent value.
Another wonderful dinner at Heirloom, one of Lexington area's culinary gems. Unpretentious first rate cuisine and service.
The banquette seating was elegant and private, great for quiet conversation. We shared a meatball appetizer, which was good, though the meatballs were a bit soft. I ordered the confit of duck garnished with cherries (perfect!), stewed pears (a tad too spicy for me, but good), amazing bean purée, and fresh greens. It was probably the best duck I have been served in ten years - perfectly cooked so that it practically fell off the bone, and creatively seasoned. My friend had the Irish lamb stew, which I tasted. It was delicious and the lamb was tender, but my friend swooned when he tasted a forkful of my duck with a cherry. We ended sharing an herbed
ice cream - very interesting! The entire experience was delightful - in addition to the excellent duck, great wine and beer, the service was outstanding. It felt like our server was our private butler! Wonderful evening!
St. Patrick's Day lunch with my family was great! The themed cocktails, entrees, desserts, and coffee drinks made the experience enjoyable. My granddaughter (a toddler) was served a side of mashed potatoes and gravy, and enjoyed eating the carrots, potatoes, and rich broth from my Irish Lamb Stew. Henry sat with us for a brief chat and Bo took great care of us.
We loved everything about Heirloom! The food was creative & delicious! Excellent service. Would go back in a heartbeat! Complements to the chef!!
I truly cannot say enough good things about this exceptional restaurant which once again proved it is the place to bring first timers and not worry. From the three different salads to the Duck, Tenderloin and Shrimp and Grits we were all smiles. The Cheesecake and Apple Crisp desserts topped off an incredible meal.
A special thanks to our server Gretchen.
I have been to this restaurant numerous times and this past time was the only time I have been disappointed. The food and service were excellent, as always, but we were extremely disappointed that Heirloom had allowed for a party of around 12 females, who we believed to be celebrating a bachelorette party, to dine in the center of the restaurant. This wouldn’t have been an issue at all, but they were a rather large group that got extremely loud at times. Such an esteemed restaurant should try to prevent an occurrence like this.
Delicious food, comfortable surroundings, excellent service. Great place to meet friends and catch up!
Wonderful as always Friends from Canada always make this their must stop when they come to visit. The food and staff were excellent. Love the new items on the menu.
Great small cozy astomphere, wonderful food, great wine selection!
The worst thing about lunch at Heirloom is that you can only pick one.
Best food in the Bluegrass!
Always a fabulous meal and wonderful service . My favorite place to eat !
Wonderful restaurant. Wonderful food. Wonderful to have Bo back.
Outstanding!! Never disappoints!
well we can dine anywhere, but heirloom is always our favorite, the food is always prepared with love and current to the lastest greatest in the culinary world, love parking at the door, love my favorite BO for our amazing waiter, attentive and cool! Midway is a hidden gem in Ky
We had dinner at Heirloom the final night of our trip to the area. Our server was excellent: she was friendly, and knowledgeable not only about the menu but the wine list. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant are very pleasing and the menu was diverse. Our salads were delicious and two friends had the shrimp and grits and said it was the best they'd ever had. My husband had the pork and thought it was delicious. Of the four of us, I was the only one who had issues. First, we were seated in a booth, and we should have asked to move . Great for privacy, but there wasn't a lot of room - almost like they skimped on inches (I am tall and thin). Also, it was the most uncomfortable bench I have ever sat on and I just couldn't pinpoint it. I wedged myself in the back corner and found that was fine even though it looked a little weird. And, I had the duck confit which I normally love but it was unfortunately entirely too salty. I decided not to say anything because everyone else enjoyed their meals. I ate just about everything but the duck. It was an unsuccessful evening for me but not for my husband or friends. I would return and request a table over a booth and try something different. It truly was a welcoming and friendly place.
Great food and excellent service!
Had the warm spinach salad along with the shrimp and grits. Both were outstanding and seasoned to perfection. Finished with the apple crisp accompanied by vanilla ice cream with caramel drizzle. 10 out 10. My favorite lunch spot in woodford county.
What a wonderful meal two Wednesday’s in a row. The new chefs are wonderful, the new additions to the menu are all exceptional. This is such a wonderful spot for a relaxing dinner. Kudo’s to the entire staff
We had a wonderful lunch experience. Our waitress was exceptional, and the food was well presented and very delicious. It was worth the hour 1.5 hour drive!!!! Highly recommended.
As always, though a sleepy town, Heirloom in Midway is THE place to eat. From the friendly service to the upscale clientele, we never miss a chance to lunch here. Definitely make reservations as we aren’t the only ones who adore this great spot. The menu is limited, but each dish is better than the next. My favorite is their original Bloody Mary with the buttermilk fried chicken over mashed potatoes.
We had a wonderful time as always. Everything from start to finish was fabulous. Can't believe such an amazing place is just 10 min from our home. We love Heirloom!
we had a party of 4 for Valentines meal. The food was superb as always!! Meredith waited on us and was one of the best any of us 4 had ever had. I couldn't asked for better service!! This place is a Gem!
fantastic food and drinks. those damn pretzels are incredible.
As usual, this restaurant is fantastic. The location, the food, the people, all of it is what I expect from a high end restaurant and my wife and I love returning here each time. While the menu retains some of the fan favorites, it also gets updated fairly regularly to include new options that I have yet to be disappointed by. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
Great food, great service, friendly staff, creative dishes; a local treasure.
Wonderful new additions to the menu. Everything was wonderful
Excellent food and good service. Our server made my dirty Grey Goose Martini and it was one of the best I had ever had. I was IMPRESSED!!!
Great atmosphere and food as well as great service from Meredith. A favorite restaurant for a lovely dining experience.
I have never been disappointed with any aspect of Heirloom. The food is exquisite, and the service is always 5 star. Ask for Meredith, she is wonderful.
A delightful meal warned up the conversation on a frightfully cold day. Great setting for an important meeting.
We had a very nice special dinner. Although we were disappointed that there was no soup available on a very cold night.
My husband and I visited for our anniversary. Delicious food, lovely presentation. Cocktails were tasty and flavorful. Service was impeccable. We had the crab cake, scallops and beef tenderloin, all were divine.
Everything was delicious! Husband was leery of ordering the poached lobster, but he absolutely loved the dish! He also loved the scallop entree and even ate the carrots! My mahi mahi was cooked perfect. It was served with sunchokes which I have never eaten but they are now a favorite. Waitress was a delight! A perfect evening on a snowy night.
I have never had a bad experience until tonight...they couldn't get my steak cooked the way I ordered. I asked for a to go box so i could take it home and cook. Otherwise, everything else was great.
Just one of the best places to eat in the entire Lexington area hands down, year after year.
Excellent service! Gretchen made great recommendations, and was very attentive and friendly. Food was outstanding (although desserts don’t quite match up to the entrees). Great ambience. 5 out of 5.
Best meal, but every time we dine there it's the best meal
We made a reservation early in December to have dinner at Heirloom on New Year's Eve. The day prior one of the staff called and told us there would be a set menu with four courses for $85 per person. She asked if that was agreeable, and I said yes. To our recollection there have not been that many courses in the past, and the restaurant has not always had a set menu. The food was excellent. However after the second course, my husband and I were full. We ended up taking the third course (steak, crab cake, and Brussel sprouts) home. We nibbled at the dessert (ice cream would probably not have stayed frozen if we had tried to take it home!). Our long tradition of eating at Heirloom on New Years Eve may have to end unless there are other options in the future. We love this place, but are not going to be willing to pay that much for a meal we cannot begin to finish.
