Amazing in every way!
Excellent food and service. French overtures on classic southern comfort food. Will eagerly visit again next time I am in the Lexington area.
Excellent service & food selection. The shrimp & grits was "to die for"! So glad we had made a reservation at this popular place in Midway.
This is our "go to" restaurant for special occasions and have never been disappointed with the food (Always creative ) and service one would expect from a first class restaurant such a the Heirloom. Would highly recommend not only for special occasions but anytime you want a fine dining experience.
A meal at Heirloom is always a very enjoyable experience! All staff members are polite and courteous and treat us like family. The fried chicken and chicken livers are awesome! Thank you!
If available I would give them 10 stars.
Never had a bad experience here!
Gretchen, our server, was lovely.
The food was all good. I had a beet salad and the chicken livers.. very rich but delicious.
A few glasses of wine and one margarita between three of us, all went down well.
The desserts are as creative as the main dishes. I share a blackberry tart with my friend and my husband had an ice cream.
We enjoy the quiet conversation yet busy and contented atmosphere of Heirloom.
Excellent experience. Always a great meal. Quality of food is second to none.
The food was exceptionally good.
We are from out of state, but have eaten at Heirloom for the 5th time now over the last 4 years. Each time the service has been spot on (Thanks to Bo), and the food is the best in the state (talented chefs). We had the duck (juicy, tender, full of amazing flavor), Bison Meatloaf, and Beef tenderloin with brussel sprouts.
We make it a point to come here every time we are even close to midway. Do not pass this farm to table gem up!
Perfect location to meet our friends on the way to Castle & Key Distillery Tour, which is also excellent by the way! Nice atmosphere, great menu & wine list!
Wish I had better things to say - went here with high expectations and was really let down. Ordered drinks, apps, dinner and dessert - had to wait for all drinks, soup arrived luke warm, and dinner was just okay. Very pricey for what we received. With this type of restaurant we expected a more mature crowd and our closest table was a parent with three young children and coloring books. Additionally, the front window table has a floor vent that blows freezing air that the staff tries to mitigate with magazines over the opening. The magazines kept moving that we only discovered each time we were suddenly freezing. Crossing this one off the list.
Extremely courteous and attentive staff. Excellent service and fantastic meal. One of the best beef tenderloins that I have had the pleasure to be served. One of the best restaurants in the central Kentucky region.
Our server went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable experience and the food was delicious! Would recommend!
This is a gem; located in historic Midway. Well worth the drive. Food is very creative . Sourcing local ingredients; everything is always very fresh
We really enjoyed our meal. The service was excellent and so was the food. There was a large birthday gathering in the restaurant which made it fairly noisy nevertheless we really had a nice evening.
Outstanding - a hidden gem, would highly recommend!
Heirloom is my favorite restaurant in the Lexington, Kentucky area! The food is always outstanding and special. Bo is my waiter but I enjoy all the waiters. Last night I enjoyed the cheese tray, Mahi, Mahi fish cooked perfectly, A short drive from Lexington and well worth the drive. I love the Heirloom restaurant! What more can I say!!!
Great food and service. Excellent value.
Another wonderful dinner at Heirloom, one of Lexington area's culinary gems. Unpretentious first rate cuisine and service.
The banquette seating was elegant and private, great for quiet conversation. We shared a meatball appetizer, which was good, though the meatballs were a bit soft. I ordered the confit of duck garnished with cherries (perfect!), stewed pears (a tad too spicy for me, but good), amazing bean purée, and fresh greens. It was probably the best duck I have been served in ten years - perfectly cooked so that it practically fell off the bone, and creatively seasoned. My friend had the Irish lamb stew, which I tasted. It was delicious and the lamb was tender, but my friend swooned when he tasted a forkful of my duck with a cherry. We ended sharing an herbed
ice cream - very interesting! The entire experience was delightful - in addition to the excellent duck, great wine and beer, the service was outstanding. It felt like our server was our private butler! Wonderful evening!
St. Patrick's Day lunch with my family was great! The themed cocktails, entrees, desserts, and coffee drinks made the experience enjoyable. My granddaughter (a toddler) was served a side of mashed potatoes and gravy, and enjoyed eating the carrots, potatoes, and rich broth from my Irish Lamb Stew. Henry sat with us for a brief chat and Bo took great care of us.
We loved everything about Heirloom! The food was creative & delicious! Excellent service. Would go back in a heartbeat! Complements to the chef!!
I truly cannot say enough good things about this exceptional restaurant which once again proved it is the place to bring first timers and not worry. From the three different salads to the Duck, Tenderloin and Shrimp and Grits we were all smiles. The Cheesecake and Apple Crisp desserts topped off an incredible meal.
A special thanks to our server Gretchen.
I have been to this restaurant numerous times and this past time was the only time I have been disappointed. The food and service were excellent, as always, but we were extremely disappointed that Heirloom had allowed for a party of around 12 females, who we believed to be celebrating a bachelorette party, to dine in the center of the restaurant. This wouldn’t have been an issue at all, but they were a rather large group that got extremely loud at times. Such an esteemed restaurant should try to prevent an occurrence like this.
Delicious food, comfortable surroundings, excellent service. Great place to meet friends and catch up!
Wonderful as always Friends from Canada always make this their must stop when they come to visit. The food and staff were excellent. Love the new items on the menu.
Great small cozy astomphere, wonderful food, great wine selection!
The worst thing about lunch at Heirloom is that you can only pick one.
Best food in the Bluegrass!
Always a fabulous meal and wonderful service . My favorite place to eat !
Wonderful restaurant. Wonderful food. Wonderful to have Bo back.
Outstanding!! Never disappoints!
well we can dine anywhere, but heirloom is always our favorite, the food is always prepared with love and current to the lastest greatest in the culinary world, love parking at the door, love my favorite BO for our amazing waiter, attentive and cool! Midway is a hidden gem in Ky
We had dinner at Heirloom the final night of our trip to the area. Our server was excellent: she was friendly, and knowledgeable not only about the menu but the wine list. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant are very pleasing and the menu was diverse. Our salads were delicious and two friends had the shrimp and grits and said it was the best they'd ever had. My husband had the pork and thought it was delicious. Of the four of us, I was the only one who had issues. First, we were seated in a booth, and we should have asked to move . Great for privacy, but there wasn't a lot of room - almost like they skimped on inches (I am tall and thin). Also, it was the most uncomfortable bench I have ever sat on and I just couldn't pinpoint it. I wedged myself in the back corner and found that was fine even though it looked a little weird. And, I had the duck confit which I normally love but it was unfortunately entirely too salty. I decided not to say anything because everyone else enjoyed their meals. I ate just about everything but the duck. It was an unsuccessful evening for me but not for my husband or friends. I would return and request a table over a booth and try something different. It truly was a welcoming and friendly place.
Great food and excellent service!
Had the warm spinach salad along with the shrimp and grits. Both were outstanding and seasoned to perfection. Finished with the apple crisp accompanied by vanilla ice cream with caramel drizzle. 10 out 10. My favorite lunch spot in woodford county.
What a wonderful meal two Wednesday’s in a row. The new chefs are wonderful, the new additions to the menu are all exceptional. This is such a wonderful spot for a relaxing dinner. Kudo’s to the entire staff
We had a wonderful lunch experience. Our waitress was exceptional, and the food was well presented and very delicious. It was worth the hour 1.5 hour drive!!!! Highly recommended.
