It was delish!
Favorite new place in St. Paul! Manager/Host seated us, and also curates wine list, so perfect recommendations. Host always great. Try the vegetables of the day — fantastic. Weeknight dining better, wait staff needs to be a bit more prompt. Improving. First time visit June 2017, for anniversary dinner and staff overwhelmed that night so poor service. Food great!
We love this restaurant! Everything about it works, we have never been disappointed and have dined here frequently.
Food was delicious but portions small. Excellent service
Food was interesting and delicious. Portions very small but full price. Maybe consider moving to a real tapas restaurant and lower prices... people might but more. Virtually no non-alcoholic, non-pop options.
This restaurant clearly has meticulous preparation and high standard of quality for ingredients. This is evident in every dish- what a feat to plate literal porridge in a way that looks appealing. The service was great. Low points were the value-- certain dishes were quite expensive with portions too large that felt like a chore to work through (easy remedy! lower price point for a more manageable portion), and I thought the flavor profile of everything I ate was pretty conservative (personal taste). Overall good experience, would like to see more creativity as this restaurant matures.
Friendly, professional service! An enjoyable dinner.
The food, design, and ambience are good, but we had the most wooden and inattentive server that I have had in a long time. The host/manager ended up taking care of us, but the server was not busy or slammed- just brooding and resentful. A disappointment.
Heirloom never disappoints. The menu might appear small but it constantly changes and evolves in all the best ways. Their wine list is particularly food complimentary.
Wonderful service, friendly atmosphere and delicious and innovative food. The first two courses and cheese plate were all so beautifully presented and tasted just as good. The main courses, while still beautiful, were the least favorite part of the meal. They were good but not great relative to the starters and pasta dishes. That being said, I will definitely return here again.
Amazing food! They specialize in smaller courses so you can pick different types of food which is fun. A touch pricey but it’s a high tier restaurant so worth it.
I am always impressed when I eat here. The food is delicious and inventive, the service friendly and knowledgeable, and the experience is an all-around pleasure.
Amazing food in a course setting that allowed us to share and therefore try more delicious food! Service was incredible! We knew Jessie from other restaurants and were so glad to run into him there. He is one of the greatest around!
We have eaten at Heirloom on a number of occasions. We keep coming back for the great food. We have brought friends who have enjoyed it too.
I took my boyfriend to Heirloom Kitchen and Bar for a weekend-after-Valentines dinner and was the best meal a dining experience I’ve had in quite some time. Delicious and creative dishes served at just the right time with just the right amount of interaction with our waiter and other staff. I’m highly impressed and will be sharing with every willing ear that I can find. Thank you so much!
Adventurerous Food well prepared and great service!
Everything about this place was exceptional, but I was even more impressed by the price (we ordered artisanal cheese, a 3 course meal, dessert, and a few cocktails and spent far less than anticipated) and our server, who was warm, funny, and very enthusiastic!
Stopped after getting to St. Paul to meet my daughter for a late bite. Very creative small plate dishes updated based on locally sourced foods. Server was very welcoming - felt like having dinner with friends. Menu items we had were outstanding.
Celebrating birthday with friends. Wait staff is excellent and attentive. Menu is inventive, I loved the Cauliflower & Cheese Soup. We were too full for dessert.
Great place for a date, celebration etc!
The service was excellent. The beat tart was incredible as was the chicken dish. The layered short ribs were interesting and the flavors were nice along with the raisin sauce but the dish was too dry overall.
The food was delicious. Our server was attentive (and the other staff we encountered were great), but our server rubbed us all the wrong way (kind of pretentious and condescending). The food was great though, so we will return and likely just sit at the bar, which has social hour until 6pm but only applies to those sitting at the bar.
Heirloom remains one of my
Favorite restaurants in the twin cities.
Heirloom is a quality restaurant!! The food is delicious and the vibe is very comfortable! Love love love!!!
Everything I had was exceptional! From the wine, cheese plate choices to my meal and dessert. Creative and new tastes with textures and chilled elements. I ordered the Beet Tartlet which was exceptional and Interesting Vegetables. Not many vegetarian choices but I ordered what was on the menu and it was awesome! Save room for desert!
Nothing special, too small portions, too much $$, service poor
Truly a spectacular evening of great food. Our server was outstanding.
Great meal from start to finish! Love the half glasses of wine so you can pair as you move through the menu.
The food at Heirloom was beautiful and delicious. We love the thoughtfulness of the food here. The wine the server helped us select was excellent.
Very creative menu with excellent cooking skills and beautiful plating. The food is so good that we will definitely come back again. :)
Each dish was incredible and at least a little creative. The service was amazing: we were treated like special patrons even though we've only been there once. The ambiance is nice: not too loud, unpretentious, there was some bar seating as well as booths and tables.
The food was very good. Limited menu, but very focused. The service was outstanding. I think it’s somewhat spendy. We had a $200 meal but half of that was a bottle of wine. I would ask that they provide cushions for the seats. I would recommend this restaurant.
Great food. Great service. Great place. This is a must go to spot. Love this place. Farm to table honest clean food. Presentation is fantastic and everything taste unbelievable.
New Year dinner
Everyone at our table ordered two courses. The food was tasty but the portions were similar in size to tasting menu courses, so two courses did not make a very satisfying meal. Everything was a bit too precious. The service was good. The food got to the table promptly. It was happily noise-y, but not too loud. I think if the portions were a bit bigger, I would give this restaurant a much better rating.
Everything was delicious! The porridge was especially spectacular. I could’ve had a giant bowl of that alone for my meal. And the shrimp appetizer was so light and fresh.
Friends and family Christmas get together
Fantastic! Better than anticipated. Excellent menu choices and service. Will certainly return to this dining gem.
We enjoyed the food and our time together to celebrate some birthdays. Food was served hot, beautiful and creative. It was very delicious. The server must have been having a bad night: forgotten entre, but overall we would go back again. Free street parking nearby was nice on this cold weekend.
Happy to have an upscale yet casual restaurant in our neighborhood. The bread was delicious, as always. Our soups were not as hot as we would have liked on a cold winter evening, yet tasty nonetheless. We enjoyed the rest of our meal sampling all vegetarian dishes off the menu. Thanks!
The food tasted amazing!! A few unique items and such at the restaurant, but clean your plate delicious :)
