As a Marriott elite member I was surprised at the poor quality of the food served here. The Farmhouse breakfast included 3 eggs, sausage and potatoes. Nothing on my plate showed any kind of effort. The potatoes looked and tasted something like what would come out of a frozen bag from the store with no veggies or unique seasons. The sausage was even poorer and was over cooked. All for $17. I don’t mind paying up for a nice meal, but hate to pay at all for something that is worse then I’d have myself in a grocery cart. Don’t know about other meals - was there for brunch -but I will never give this place a second chance. If I had to stay at this hotel I’d used Door Dash for sure!!

I stay away from restaurants in OC hotels and actually thought twice about visiting HFK. What a mistake that would have been. Food was extraordinary and the outdoor setting was contemporary making it feel like a top tier place in a major city.

Love this place for lunch or dinner during nice weather. Open dining room and patio overlooking the pool makes for a beautiful view. Plus the artwork is by my favorite artist Paul Bond.

Not impressed with the service or the food - waitied to get even water and then after our food finally arrived it was just ok - waitress barely came back to see if we wanted more ice tea or even if the food was how we wanted it - not going to try again

Awful management. Brunch buffet had cold food. Service was non-existent. Dirty plates piled up on the table. No one refreshed the coffee or filled the water. No one brought a teaspoon for coffee after a couple of times of request. After 45 minutes of unsuccessfully waiting to get someone’s attention, finally asked for the manager. She could’ve cared less. Never, ever stepping a foot in this facility again. $250 for four people and it wasn’t worth even $5.

I made a reservation for 10:00am for Father’s Day Breakfast for a party of 7. We were seated right away but the place was understaffed. At 10:47am with no food I complained to staff. I learned later that they had accepted a walk-in party of 20 people who didn’t call in with a heads up or make a reservation. This rude party should’ve been turned away or told they could be accommodated only through the $60/person buffet that was already set up and self-serve. Instead, they were allowed to ruin the dining experience of all of the other dining patrons because the kitchen was slammed and we had to wait for food and receive poor service. Poor management of resources. The food was just okay and the portions are small for the high prices they charge. I’m not likely to return.

I visited the restaurant for dinner, and had the Salmon with mashed potatoes, it was amazing, the salmon was cooked to perfection. The potatoes also were very tasty!

We had the Mother’s Day buffet and our service was terrible. Stack plates all the time. We had to ask them to remove them. Cold coffee that we asked to have replaced. The worst part was that servers were standing around right next to me just chatting. Were all the employees new?
Too bad.. great looking restaurant.

Pleasant pool side lunch experience. Beats the usual strip mall dining in Irvine for sure. The food is fresh albeit not terribly creative. Prices are fair. Drinks are on the expensive side and the Bloody Mary mix needs to change: bitter and salty. Everything is good and staff is super friendly.

Good food and interesting menu. Excellent service but it was pretty empty at lunch time on a Wednesday. One big disappointment was the parking. Valet only and the restaurant's validation is only good for 60 minutes. I was there for 70 minutes and they wanted to charge me for the valet service. I just spent $56 on lunch for two and then they want to charge me for parking on top of it? I made my thoughts known and after brief resistance from the parking attendant, he relented and waived the fee. Come on guys, at least make the validation good for 90 minutes. Better yet, 120 minutes! It really is a nice venue with great food and service. Don't spoil it with a petty parking policy.

We waited 30 minutes for a drink and another hour after that just for our appetizers. The waitstaff was apologetic about the delay and we received a free round of drinks and desserts for the inconvenience, which was nice but it was definitely too long of a wait. We had a 7pm reservation and didn't leave until 9:30pm. I'm all for leisurely dinners so long as the service is good and food and drinks are coming out but the waitress hardly checked on us. The food was pretty good once we finally received it but the restaurant was loud and it was very hard to talk.

Drinks were tasty. The food is pretty good, got a couple dishes that weren't that impressive but overall good food. The service was mediocre at best. For a party of eight our drinks, appetizers, dinners and desserts took over 3.5 hours, as the food took forever to come out. Then we got slammed on parking costs because it is a tiered hourly payment. Won't come back sadly. Probably a great place if you are staying in the hotel.

Wow, I felt totally deceived by their name.
From the start, the wine was stale.
The salad lack dressing.
The mussels were small and tasted spoiled.
The bone in rib-eye was tough and dated.

I would avoid this one.

I had the salmon and could not have been happier. If I could have licked the plate I would have 😉. The cauliflower cheese appetizer was also to die for. Even my non-vege fan husband enjoyed it.

The brunch menu was unique and varied. There were 6 in our party and we each ordered a different item. I had the grilled Brussels sprouts and the smashed avocado. Both were amazing. There were no complaints from my friends about their items either. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere.

The food was very good, we ordered lots of small plates. The Brussels were the best by far. My only complaint was that we ordered a bottle of wine, they brought it out, opened it and poured it out with no option to taste. Very unprofessional.

Group of us on a Saturday afternoon and not many people there, so nice and quiet. Decor is a fun, citrus theme. Menu fairly limited, nothing daring - not for foodies. Fress pressed juices, cocktaiks, wine and beer. Valet free with validation for one hour, $5 for two additional hours. Seating indoor and on patio overlooking pool. Looked like a private room as well.

The first time visit was great. This time, we ordered ribeye medium rare, served us with well-done. They made new one for us which was rare. This place might be great for casual dining lunch. It was disappointing dinner experience.

Made reservations and went to Heirloom for brunch with my family. It was alright. First off, there is no parking and you have to valet. You can validate, but only for the first hour. Next, the service was very slow. The servers were friendly, but it took a while for them to take our order and they weren't busy at all. When we looked at the prices of the items on the menu we thought that it was a good value, until we saw the size of the portions. Now I get the whole quantity isn't always what you want to set your value rating off of, but the dishes weren't good enough to justify the cost per portion sizes. All this would have been alright, but then I got notified by the service that we booked the reservation through that they reported we were a no-show and the service followed up with me to enquire why we didn't show up to our reservations.
