Our waitress was on top of everyone’s orders, drink orders, and even helped with a birthday cake. Food receives great reviews from me and my friends for the occasion. Would highly recommend!

Brunch on St. Patrick's Day was a great time to introduce myself and a friend to Heck's. Brandy, our server, was kind, witty and and made us feel quite welcome. And not only did we thoroughly enjoy the corned beef sandwiches, we were told that two families from Ireland also raved about the food! I will definitely plan to return again.

Heck’s used to be one of my favorite places to go when I lives in Cleveland ages ago. Had an opportunity to finally dine here again. Their signature coffee is as good as I remembered although a bit pricey at $4.50. Our appetizers of charred cauliflower dip and winter burrata were excellent. The burrata was a great choice. Our entrees of miso salmon, one of the burgers and the gnocchi are good examples of the variety of choices available. Salmon and burger were good, gnocchi a bit bland and I would opt for something else another time. The carrot cake wasn’t the traditional kind…. The honey glaze and presentation actually added a new level of flavor and made it my favorite carrot cake that I’ve had! The room we dined in could use a bit of sprucing up….had I known I would have asked for what I call the atrium room which has much better atmosphere. Best of all was our waitress Shana (spelling). Who made our visit most pleasant and our experience there fantastic. She was helpful in guiding our food selections and overall great!

We loved Hecks!! My husband and I both got burgers - I had the berry Brie burger and he had the hot fire burger. We had pierogies for an appetizer and they were amazing. Our server was great!!! Super quick service and great ambience!

Always a great experience at Heck’s. Friendly and efficient staff. Nice menu options for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores. Coffee is delicious, flavored with cinnamon and cocoa. (Pick up a bag to bring home.) Drinks are good. Definitely make a reservation for weekend dining.

My wife and I went to Hecks after seeing a show at Playhouse Square. We like to try different places in and around Cleveland when we're up there and Hecks did not disappoint. It is nestled in a residential area down the street from St. Ignatius. Even in late afternoon/early evening, it was busy. And for good reason. The menu isn't massive but what they make, they make well. They support local Ohio suppliers and the freshness shows in everything. We both started off with the French onion soup which was excellent. The cheese was properly melted and charred on top and the soup was good to the last spoonful. We each selected a burger, my wife the BrieBerry (she is a brie lover) while I chose the Eastside burger as I'm partial to pastrami on a burger. We both ordered our burgers medium, and they came out closer to medium rare. Not a problem for us but just a heads up to other diners. My wife loved her burger although she thought it could have had a little more berry. I loved my burger and there weren't even crumbs left, the pastrami was perfect with the right amount of fattiness. We would definitely recommend Hecks to anyone looking for a great place for burgers and locally sourced food. We plan to be back in the future, perhaps for brunch next time.
