Excellent date night ambiance, pizza fantastic..We had a great experience.
Decent food and child friendly. Limited options for "real meals" as opposed to pizza, wraps, salads, etc. FYI, I am not a local her and we took our 7 year old grandsons out to dinner. because of the kid's menu options.
Great gluten free options! And the service and food were fantastic. We’ll be back.
Thank you Molly, We are glad you liked our Gluten Free menu. Please feel free to gives us new Ideas... I would love to try new thing with out GF menu. Best Ivan
Good food, good experience, amazingly family/child friendly. Not only did we come in for kids-eat-free Tuesday, our server offered our toddler his choice of gift toys to take home. Good beverage selection for adults too.
Great food. Love listening to the musicians but it’s much too loud if table is right near them. We sat towards the back which was better!
Very good pizza
Great food and great service!
It's a wonderful place to take the grandchildren. Kids menu is good, reasonably priced and includes ice cream!! They love it.
knew of Eataly but not this restaurant. the four of us loved it. very lively and open atmosphere. excellent service. excellent food. reasonably priced. a European feel. we loved the bottle of wine recommended to us by our waiter. will go back.
Great place, well run, very friendly to children!
Love the Tuesday nights kids eat free! Food is great, staff is friendly.
Great pizza as well as other dishes. We came one time for mother's day and brought all of our grandchildren. The band was kid-friendly and the kids loved dancing to the music. The 2nd time we went back with another couple and without any children and the experience was just as great as well as the food.
Service was slow and the restaurant was loud. Food mediocre
First time here. Came to see a friend perform and stayed for dinner. My wife had a really good small pizza and I had a very good salad. Will be back if we’re in the area.
Very good food at reasonable prices. The service was excellent and was very children friendly. A very good place to go with kids if you want good food at reasonable prices.
Didn't love...1. had a reservation and then got sat right in front of the door. 2. Ask for wings with no sauce came with sauce. No biggie I ate them but there was 10 ppl max in there when we ordered our food.
3. Waiting for 15 mins for our check after we had dinner, desserts, and coffee.
Great for kids!
We love Hearth! It’s such a treat to be able to take our three young children out to a place we all enjoy. The service is excellent—very friendly and always quick. Salads are especially good and the pizza is great. A perfect spot for us!
We dine at Hearth frequently, primarily because they are able to make a great pizza crust that is thin and crunchy.... we are not fans of limp soggy pizza crust. We always order the multigrain type crust for exactly this reason. Unfortunately, tonight, the crust was so soggy and limp that the vegetables and meat toppings slid right off. It was impossible to eat it as a regular pizza. We were very surprised and very disappointed. On the positive side, the wait staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and professional . We were not in the position time wise to wait for another pizza to be prepared or else I would have sent it back… However, I felt that we should not of been in the position to need to do so.
Pizza was good (green goddess), a bit overpriced but overall good experience. Meatball appetizers were ok , dry and little flavor.
Our appetizer arrived with our dinners. The chicken that I added to my “make your own salad” tasted like it was out of a Perdue Shortcuts bag. On the other hand, the pizzas looked fantastic!
they tried to put 7 people at a table for 4 right next to the kitchen, even though we made reservations a few days in advance. We had to push hard for them to change our table. otherwise it is a nice place. food is quite salty
Good for families. Liked the live band!
Salads are excellent -dressings are all gluten free and delicious. Problem with the roasted chicken I requested on top.............very dry, chewy, and not flavorful at all.
I bring many friends here and they come back
We were there on a Sunday night, and the restaurant got very busy. We had to wait a long time after the meal and dessert menus were dropped off before anybody came to take our dessert order. So although we were planning to order dessert and coffee, we had waited so long and it had gotten so busy and the service was so slow, that we just decided to get dessert somewhere else. We would've ordered dessert at the restaurant had the service been better. It looked like some additional people jumped in to help the wait staff, but by then it was too late. The food was good, as always.
Food and drink was good as always. This evening they had a rock band that was simply too loud for the size of the restaurant.
First time at Hearth. Seated right away, which I would expect with reservations. Place was filled, with a small wait. Service was average at best. For as many people that I saw working, and being seated essentially right across from the kitchen, the service should have been more attentive. Had to ask for everything, from plates, to refilling of drinks, to ordering dessert. Food was very good, which would make me want to go back, but I’m not sure if I’d go back to a place with spotty service. Too many other good restaurants around, and since I don’t live in Needham, I’m not sure it will be worth the drive again. Takeout business appears to be very good, based on the number of people picking up food, as well as delivery drivers coming in and out.
We came here as a last option. The gluten free pizza is terrible. The crust is very thin and crunchy. My parents got a pasta dish. My dads pasta dish was great. My moms pasta dish she didn’t love. The both had the same pasta but my moms was undercooked and not hot.
Nice to have a build you own salad entry on the menu, which allows the selection of greens and 4 included toppings. The roasted sweet potatoes went well with the avocado, olives and carrots on top of arugula. Also had a multigrain margherita pizza with crushed tomatoes, fresh basil and fresh mozzarella that was prepared perfectly.
We have dined at Hearth often, as always, the food is fresh, excellent quality, and very tasty. We enjoy their various pizzas and select a multigrain crust option as it yields a crispy crust, our server also asked if we wanted him to request that type of crust consistency as well, so they try to customize your food preparation wherever possible which we appreciate. Our server was engaging, attentive , and knowledgeable, balancing many customers who all seemed to arrive simultaneously! We will return, as we have for several years....
Flat Bread Sandwiches were quite tasty. The Aioli (garlic mayo) was excellent - homemade? The Ancient Grain Salad that we shared was delicious although next time I'd ask for more salad dressing. However, the small pepperoni pizza was lacking sufficient tomato sauce, mushrooms (we added these) and pepperoni...........crust was partially burnt too. We will return and try more menu items but may steer clear of the pizza.................which is too bad.
I love that you can choose from three different crusts, multiple sauces, multiple cheeses, and delicious toppings.
Everything was fine except the volume of the band (very good band btw). We felt like we were legit in a bar back when we were 20. Hard to handle with toddlers. Turn the volume down a notch and it would have been the perfect evening:)
Best place with kids!
We always have a blast here! Food is delicious and my kids are always happy.
Delicious gluten free pizza!
Our family loves Hearth! Delicious pizza for the kids, attentive servers, and good draft beer options for adults.
Unimpressed. Ordered a salad to share and had to ask multiple times for plates. Food came out quickly. Staff kept interrupting our meal to ask us to pass empty plates to them to clear. It felt like we were bussing our own table.
We have eaten there many times before. The food is consistently fresh, tasty, hot food is always hot, presentations always well done. Our server was attentive and checked in on us in an appropriate fashion. It is refreshing to him in step with me where the priorities is farm to table food. My only criticism, which is in long-standing one is the back of protection between the front door in the restaurant itself.Essentially, customers walking to the front door let cold air in time the doors open, tables are right next to this area and without the better separation, it can’t help but in fact the temperature in the restaurant itself. Prior to this, they used to have a curtain at the front door which was even worse. I will say, the new change to this restaurant has added a brightness which was nonexistent before, which makes a positive, if only diners weren’t cold every time new customers arrived!
