Hearth & Dram
First trip. Average enough to not make it back
Excellent service and food from beginning to end. The arancini is amazing, the cheese and meat plate was great. The drinks are spot on. The Fettuccine was a bit bland, but that was the only let down.
The service here was very slow and our main server was obviously upset about having to work this particular night.
I got mislead, I only saw their complete menu, their website didn’t really show that they would limit our option with a very limited menu for x-mas eve. Also they gave me a hard time to give me an earlier reservation even though when I arrived there were a minimum of 4 other tables that remained empty the whole night that would’ve accommodated our party of 6. Even their very limited dessert option which 3 of us chose the Black Forest cake, which was the driest oldest piece of cake any of us have ever had. Prime rib very bland.
Amazing steaks! We went for Christmas Eve and the food was great. The music was too loud to be a romantic setting. The wine list wasn’t extensive, but there were hundreds of whiskeys.
We went here for our Christmas Eve dinner and were blown away by the service, drinks and food. The bar staff were amazing at recommending cocktails that fit our tastes and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. Only downside was the table next to us had three children, all playing loud video games on iPads. Not the restaurant's fault at all though, but still distracting. Still was a very enjoyable evening.
Great food, service and hip urban atmosphere.
Birthday and christmas
Over 500 whiskey offerings. Good atmosphere. A little loud if people have hearing issues. No chocolate offerings on the dessert menu.
LOVED this place! So many restaurants these days have music blaring so loud you can’t enjoy conversation. Great food, drinks, service. Recommend the octopus
I picked this restaurant for the two men we were celebrating their birthdays and they are both avid bourbon drinkers. I could only get a reservation for 5:4 pm even thought the place was half empty all night. Service was slow but not bad and the food was delicious. There was some trouble with gift certificates as I pre-bought them for the birthday boys to use. All in all i would recommend it for bourbon lovers to have dinner and enjoy the vast menu of bourbons but overall it was good. I would come back but not often. Maybe you should free up your reservations on a Saturday night if you want more people in your establishment.
Fire alarms going off, basically like a strobe light. Hostess did not tell us kitchen was closed before we were seated which was frustrating.
Really loved this restaurant. Food was great and wine selection was good. Server was so friendly and helpful!
Fantastic whiskey selection, 100's to choose from. The food was amazing as well. Hearth and Dram was recommended to me by a friend, and we were not disappointed. Definitely well worth it!!
This might be my new favorite restaurant in Denver!
This review is based on a thanksgiving buffet. Not sure how it is all the time, but the drinks were over-crafted, the smoked Turkey was not very good. The sausage stuffing and mac n chees were the best part of the meal. Not a very good wine selection either. And I'll also mention that we had some of the earliest reservations in an almost empty restaurant, and still were seated at the worst table and position. Out server was great tho.
Food was good, little pricey for what you got. But no wait worked well for a birthday dinner.
Celebrated my birthday here after finding it on Yelp with good reviews . Wanted to try something new and had good ambiance. Was very impressed w the dry aged Tbone. Delicious!
It was perfect for a fun outing with my kids who are high school and college having fun downtown.
Interesting drinks and delicious food. The portion was small-ish but rich so I was happy with it. Big eaters may feel differently. The meal took a while but we had drinks, an app, entrees, more drinks and a dessert. One set of drinks was comped since they took so long.
Great atmosphere, wine, cocktails, and food. Second time here and will be back!
I've had a better rack of lamb. Most was fatty and not seasoned very much
Exhaustive whiskey selection. Creative cocktails and engaging bartenders.
It was a great spot for our party. Loved the food and drinks were amazing. We will definitely be going back!
Delicious food and fantastic whiskey and bourbon selection. Our server recommended a special whiskey distilled JUST for Health & Dram and it was incredible!!
Good food and drinks. Liked the music and overall ambiance. Service was VERY slow. Server kept blaming how busy they were buts that’s just life on a Saturday night. They also have their drink menu on an iPad which they only had a few of. So every time I wanted to order a drink the server had to go find an iPad before I could order. Just seemed tacky for what is otherwise a very nice restaurant. All in all a good experience and we likely would/will visit again.
Really great steak and sides. Lovely wine list and fun atmosphere. Service was a bit slow and sometime inattentive but all in all it was a nice night.
I’m part of a group that gets together once a month for dinner. This month we chose Hearth and Dram.
Overall, I felt that we were treated well. The wait staff was friendly, helpful and attentive.
I didn’t find the menu particularly enticing and made the mistake of ordering the whole bass which was, the whole bass, including head and bones. My bad.
I was extremely disappointhed in the drinks. I don’t drink much but, when I do, I like good quality and appreciate a generous pour. I was able to get Knob Creek. However, the pour wasn’t much more than a thimble full. On my second try, I mentioned the pour to the waitress and asked for it to be a bit more generous. Apparently, the bartenders have their orders and pour a precise measure, no more.
I switched to tea. If you’re going to charge one fourth of the bottle price for a drink, at least make the customer feel like they got their monies worth. I don’t buy that you have to be stingy because of the high downtown rents. This was our tenth downtown restaurant this year and by far the worst for drink value. You get one chance, I won’t be back.
Very impressed with the quality of the food and service at Hearth get over it, the food it fabulous!
Walking in at 7 pm to people in the bar but not in the dining area set the tone. Everything here is about the whiskey menu. Food is ok but nothing special and the presentation is uninspired. Wine menu is almost non-existent. The music was way too loud given there were only 3 tables having dinner and scattered about the place. The one bright spot of the meal was the octopus which was nicely seasoned and very tender. Steaks were overpriced for the quality of the beef.
We had a great time at happy hour everyone and every cocktail and appetizers was fantastic. Then our fillets for dinner were perfectly cooked and fantastic flavor. Highly recommend.
So Great we came back for breakfast and the avocado toast was great. Thank you for our special night in Denver.
Our waitress had zero knowledge of anything on the menu. Especially your whiskey selection. When the server brought our food they gave us the wrong plates. When we questioned that they had made a mistake. The server questioned are knowledge of steaks. That was pretty off putting. I know the difference between ribeye and filet.
Underwhelmed with Hearth & Dram. The menu is limited and main entrees do not come with good sides. Some do not come with sides at all. They need more variety in the menu - try additional dishes because you are not a steak house and th menu is too heavily weighed with red meat.
They do not have good salads which was very disappointing.
The service was off - consistently we had to flag down our server for drinks, more water, to order something else. It was quite off putting.
The design and decor is great - I will give them credit for this! But the food was only so-so and the service was annoying - it felt like everyone was in training. Given that there are so many excellent restaurants in Denver, I see no reason to return to Hearth & Dram.
I believe that this is a hidden gem, the food is always excellent and the drinks are unique.
We had one night in Denver and decided to eat in the restaurant the food was amazing and the service friendly and efficient.
If you just go for drinks it would be okay. The service was slow and scattered. Everything was overly salty, and I like salty foods, but one dish was so salty that it wasn’t edible. The set up is really nice but it was almost empty for an 8pm reservation.
Upscale dining, amazing food, and clever cocktails. Our server, Ashley, was informative, knowledgeable, and very friendly. Will definitely recommend and return!
My expectations were high but Hearth & Dram went above and beyond what I could have imagined. I reserved this spot for a 20s theme bachelorette party and it couldn’t have been more perfect. José and the entire staff we’re so welcoming and accommodating. From the moment they checked in to confirm our reservation to the moment we left. The ambiance was amazing. The food spectacular. The drinks delicious. I can’t rave enough about how special they made my bride to be feel, along with the rest of the bride tribe. 10/10 for sure.
The food was pretty good, but way over-priced. The waiter memorized our order instead of writing it down (why does anyone think this is a good idea? who is this supposed to impress?), and forgot to omit the allergens from one of our party’s meal.
This is one of the best values in Denver at happy hour and always fairly priced. The waiter was outstanding-there when you need him, not there when you don’t. The food is awesome, whiskey menu is outstanding and just voted people’s choice winner for their burger at the burger battle. Highly recommend this great neighborhood place!
