Hearth & Dram
At Hearth & Dram, our whiskey menu includes over 600 varieties of whiskey from around the world. We proudly serve 5 private barrels hand selected by our resident whiskey master. Hearth & Dram is more than just a whiskey bar with a curated craft cocktail program, a bad ass wine list, and 12 locally sourced draft selections.
We were visiting from Atlanta and wanted to go out for a nice dinner while we were here. We were blown away by some of the most incredible food and service we have ever had. (And that's saying something because we all work in the industry) Chef Chris Sanders blew us away with a beautiful 5 course meal that left us arguing over which course was the best. The drinks were perfect compliments to the food, and the service was exactly what we wanted. This will be a stop every time we come to Denver.
All of our meals were amazing! We were celebrating a birthday and we were so pleased with the "extras" Highly recommend!!!
Best pretzel we have ever had! I enjoyed my spaghetti western cocktail- I was told it is booze forward but I happen to love whiskey so didn’t think it was too stiff at all- went down nice and smooth
Amazing food and service, great ambiance & drinks
Awesome happy hour. The food was amazing. Burger on HH menu was incredible. Beet gnocchi was tasty along w the cool presentation of pretzel w cheese dipping sauce.
The breakfast options were limited. Further, what they had was very picked over and there was an unwillingness to replenish the options. The food that was available was good.
Great food, efficient service, wonderful date night pick
Food was delicious, service was lackluster.
We went to Hearth and Dram to celebrate a birthday. We started with a cocktail and a pour of whiskey from the extensive list followed by pours of other whiskeys later in the meal. For dinner we chose the trout and the lamb. Variety is limited on the menu. The dishes were good, but nothing above and beyond what you can get at other restaurants. Dessert was also delicious. Our server was attentive without being overbearing.
While the whiskey list is extensive, the prices are high and it seemed like it may be beneficial to drink at one of the many other establishments in the Denver area that offer more reasonable prices with a smaller collection if you are looking for affordability. Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed the meal. As an extensive whiskey drinker however, I was disappointed that there was not something about the visit that was making me itch to return.
Great steak, yummy potatoes and salad. Would have liked more salad options. The drinks menu is an iPad and unfortunately, the person who seated us did not tell us so we looked around for an actual menu to no avail. Service was great and the steak was perfect!!
We had a rough start, could not get seated even though we were staying at the hotel and there appeared to be plenty of available seats (being held apparently for possible open table reservations). So I made an open table reservation and got in. Drinks are great, food was pretty good, but the manager was amazing. The whole evening was a cluster, everything went wrong, but he was on top of it. Great customer service and he saved his server.
The food was delicious. We started with shishito peppers which were excellent. I had the hanger steak and it was flavorful and done to perfection. My wife is vegetarian and had the beet gnocchi. This dish was the most visual appealing and the taste was amazing. I don’t particularly like beets this did not have a super beety flavor and really surprised me. We will be going back for sure.
Best meal I’ve had in a very long time service food drinks all of the above were outstanding
Valentines lunch! Food was fantastic, great drinks and we were given dessert from the dinner menu as a treat! Loved this restaurant and will definitely dine here again!
Wonderful meal, service, and interesting drinks. We checked it out from a feastlocally deal and will definitely be back!
There was nothing bad about our meal or our service, but it also lacked luster and refinement. I’m not sure if our expectation was too high, if it was because it was a slow night and didn’t have the energy, because it’s a lobby hotel restaurant or we were just there on the wrong night. Honestly, so close to being a fine dining experience just needs to have a little more attention to detail.
We made a reservation and the table was not set properly for us. It was too large of table and was set for a table of four. We asked for one of the booths but they had reserved signs on them, I guess our reservation wasn’t as important as theirs. The drink list comes on a large tablet, though convenient because of their pronounced selection of whiskeys, was overwhelming in selecting an artisan cocktail. It also gave me a discounted vibe.
We ordered pretty quickly as I had looked at the menu previously online. One negative was the limited list of side dishes as all steaks are ordered à la carts. We ordered starters, steak, sides and entrees. We asked for it to be courses but instead all came out at once family style. We love family style but there was just too much food all at once. The server checked up on us a few times but we did run out of water and had empty cocktails for half of our dinner.
All food was good, not mind blowing, but good. Steak was cooked almost perfectly, pasta was fresh and a favorite, scallops were on point, nice job to the BOH. We were pretty excited for this meal and, looking back, would have opted and got a reservation at Guard & Grace instead. For the higher price tag we expected a much more refined experience than we received.
If you’re staying at the hotel or have a business meeting, I would recommend this but it’s not worth the walk or the Uber ride if you’re visiting or going out for a date night.
This was a really great restaurant, the mushroom linguine was amazing and the cocktails were excellent! Service was terrific as well. Highly recommended!
Food was too salt.
Everything was exceptional. The food was delicious and we felt as everything was prepared especially for us.
Amazing service and food where I had one of the best dinners in recent memory
This was our fifth visit to Hearth & Dram, celebrating a birthday. We have always enjoyed the industrial chic of the restaurant, the open kitchen, the wide selection of whisky / whiskeys from around the world and the attentive service. We have also enjoyed the menu selection and the great LoDo location.
This particular visit, the warmth of the food was a little off. We had ordered ribeyes and hanger steak, two medium and one medium well along with two sides. While the medium well was served hot and sizzling, the other two steaks and the sides were just warm. We theorized that the medium steaks were removed from the grill while the medium well was still cooking. We enjoyed our meal at the beginning, but by mid steak the medium ribeyes and sides were on the cool side. What remained was not of sufficient size to ask to be reheated, but at the prices of the ribeyes, it seemed a shame we were not able to enjoy the last bites of our meal.
Suggestion ... pay more attention to the order that you cook your steaks or serve on a hot plate or platter.
We will continue to frequent the Hearth and Dram as we have really enjoyed our previous visits and meals. But we will be more attentive that the food is served HOT and not just warm.
Excellent flavors. Fine meats and fish. Pleasant ambiance.
The food was pretty good, but the service was awful. Despite a small crowd, we waited 30-40 minutes and finished several glasses of wine before our dinner arrived. Also, the server brough the wrong sides to our table initially.
Then I ordered another glass of wine at the start of dinner - it came out after we ate, with the check. If they can fix the service, then the restaurant would be pretty decent.
Best burger and staff! Thank you : )
I’ve always had outstanding experiences. Wonderful food, always prepared exceptionally.
Great selection of whiskey and a creative menu really set this place apart. The private on tap whiskey was a great surprise, it made the Manhattan very tasty. The main course was delicious, the sides were lacking.
We chose H&D four our company dinner of 10 ppl based on a previous dinner my wife and I had months prior. Again, the atmosphere was great, the facility was clean, the food was on point, and best of all we had a wonderful waitress. As most people know its the waitstaff that makes the largest impact assuming the food is good. We definitely will come back, and I heard from several of our first-time employees to H&D that they would come back on their own with their significant other. Very good night! Thank you!
First trip. Average enough to not make it back
Excellent service and food from beginning to end. The arancini is amazing, the cheese and meat plate was great. The drinks are spot on. The Fettuccine was a bit bland, but that was the only let down.
The service here was very slow and our main server was obviously upset about having to work this particular night.
I got mislead, I only saw their complete menu, their website didn’t really show that they would limit our option with a very limited menu for x-mas eve. Also they gave me a hard time to give me an earlier reservation even though when I arrived there were a minimum of 4 other tables that remained empty the whole night that would’ve accommodated our party of 6. Even their very limited dessert option which 3 of us chose the Black Forest cake, which was the driest oldest piece of cake any of us have ever had. Prime rib very bland.
Amazing steaks! We went for Christmas Eve and the food was great. The music was too loud to be a romantic setting. The wine list wasn’t extensive, but there were hundreds of whiskeys.
We went here for our Christmas Eve dinner and were blown away by the service, drinks and food. The bar staff were amazing at recommending cocktails that fit our tastes and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. Only downside was the table next to us had three children, all playing loud video games on iPads. Not the restaurant's fault at all though, but still distracting. Still was a very enjoyable evening.
Great food, service and hip urban atmosphere.
Birthday and christmas
Over 500 whiskey offerings. Good atmosphere. A little loud if people have hearing issues. No chocolate offerings on the dessert menu.
LOVED this place! So many restaurants these days have music blaring so loud you can’t enjoy conversation. Great food, drinks, service. Recommend the octopus
I picked this restaurant for the two men we were celebrating their birthdays and they are both avid bourbon drinkers. I could only get a reservation for 5:4 pm even thought the place was half empty all night. Service was slow but not bad and the food was delicious. There was some trouble with gift certificates as I pre-bought them for the birthday boys to use. All in all i would recommend it for bourbon lovers to have dinner and enjoy the vast menu of bourbons but overall it was good. I would come back but not often. Maybe you should free up your reservations on a Saturday night if you want more people in your establishment.
Fire alarms going off, basically like a strobe light. Hostess did not tell us kitchen was closed before we were seated which was frustrating.
Really loved this restaurant. Food was great and wine selection was good. Server was so friendly and helpful!
