Loved the setting. The food was excellent. Sally was a great server- hostess was less than inviting and enthusiastic and other wait staff did not measure up to this classy resort- torn shirts, slovenly style-- we will be back but class it up!

A wonderful restaurant with great food but when we asked them to box up my dessert they gave me my friend’s dessert and I assume she got mine. I was disappointed as the chocolate lava cake would have been good the next day!

The buffet table was lovely and very tasty! The entrees were sub par for $80 per plate. I had the short rib hash which was basically frozen hash browns with a little roast beef thrown in. Underwhelming to be sure.! The flies were swarming around us the whole time and very annoying. Not very happy with the experience!

Glad to hear you enjoyed brunch! The $79 price was for the full buffet, including a range of starters, entrees and desserts. We are very sorry if the short rib hash browns missed the mark. They were made in house with Yukon Gold potatoes, as cooking with fresh ingredients is important to us. We are always happy to provide a new entrée if you are not happy with what you receive, as we want you to have a great experience. Feel free to reach out to us with any additional feedback.

We dined here because it was in our hotel. Everything exceeded our expectations in ambience, service and food quality.
We sat outside with the mountains in the background.
The food was delicious and we were recommended a white (our preference) wine that paired well with the seafood and steak. The white was not on their wine list so we appreciated that they had additional, cellared wines.
The scallops were from the East coast and were perfectly cooked.

My family went for a bday dinner. The atmosphere was amazing. Beautiful contemporary restaurant inside and we ate on the patio and it had amazing views of their pool and camelback. All of our meals were unbelievable. Food quality and proportions were perfect. I had the best crab cake I have ever had and their steaks were cooked perfectly. They were so tender and had amazing flavor. I had sword fish and it was also cooked perfectly and had wonderful flavor as well.

I would highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be back!!!

To be fair, I had high expectations. Friends of ours highly recommended Hearth ‘61 and we were not disappointed in the least. The food was creative and well-served. Server timing and food delivery timing was impeccable (so many restaurants miss this). Ambiance is clean and modern without being cold or too hip to take seriously - like other hyped-up eateries. We did not avail ourselves of the services of the Sommelier this trip but definitely will next time around. I will say that any drink with bourbon here was amazing. I had the lobster bisque which was both perfect and perfectly served. My wife had crab cakes as recommended and she reported it was wonderful. I took advice and ordered the swordfish - another great suggestion - and it was as good as I have ever eaten. My wife ordered a delicious prime rib and could only eat half of it (my leftovers were amazing the next morning). We stuck to simply vegetable sides (broccoli and asparagus) which were great. I wish I had taken pictures ! Thank you Mr. Gallen, Mr. Wiley, and the entire staff for an unforgettable evening:) Until we meet again..

My husband and I had an extremely enjoyable dinner date at Hearth '61. The atmosphere is rather relaxed and we were able to dine outside by the pool, with a fantastic sunset view of Camelback Mountain. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the specials for the day, wine selections and overall menu. Our service was outstanding and we were able to enjoy the music wafting over from the live band playing inside, by the bar area. After the satisfying meal, we lounged in the 'living room' area and enjoyed the ambiance. We will highly recommend this establishment to anyone! In fact, we would like to stay at the hotel accommodations during the summer months with our children and enjoy the pool as well.

All was excellent except for the fact that our reservation coincided with their monthly wine dinner and the people speaking over the microphone were quite loud while we were trying to enjoy our dinner. Too bad they don’t have a separate room for such functions. Will make sure we never book during a wine dinner!

The food was great, the view of Camelback mountain was great, the service was very good. The only knock I have is apparently once a month on a Sunday evening they utilize about half of the restaurant for a prix fixe dinner. During this dinner they had a speaker with a microphone that drastically increased the noise level where my wife and I found it hard to hear each other. Our waiter eventually was able to have the volume turned down but it was still a nuisance. Would definitely go back but not on prix fixe night.

We arrived in pouring down rain to a lot of noise. After we were seated in the very nice fine dining area the noise was less but until happy hour was over it was a challenge to hear others in our party talk. The service and food were outstanding. We experienced loud noise in most of the restaurants we visited in our 2 week stay. It’s really a sad situation when you are with good friends you have not seen for a year.

I went to this place for Valentine's day with my love. Here's what I thought...

Service:
I had made a reservation at 8, but they didn't have a table available - they asked us to sit at the bar and wait 15 min. We ended up waiting 30 min, but they ended up covering our drinks, which I thought was a classy move. Still, 30 min? What a first world problem to have.

Food:
The food was quite delicious. To start, we had oysters and ahi tartare.
The oysters were ok, but the accompanying sauce had almost no flavor - you better love the taste of a fresh oyster to have them. Also, there weren't enough lemon slices, and the lemon slice I got was so thin I couldn't squeeze it. I was sour about that.
The tartare was delightful an came with a bold presentation. The seasoning was perfect and it came with what looked like a chic

For entrées, my wife had the beet salad while I got chicken.
The chicken had a delicious, crunchy skin on top, with a succulent, meaty middle. I thought with the crunchy top, the inside would be dry, but it wasn't, and it made my night.

The portions were pretty hearty, so we skipped dessert.

Drink:
The drinks on the menu were all designed by the bartender at the bar we sat at while waiting for our table. I'm so sad I didn't get his name because I wanted to send some praise his way. Here's to you, unknown beverage soldier...
I had what I could describe as a negroni, but with more volume. It was a little less bitter, but still great.
Wifey had some sort of concoction with pineapple, tequila, and sriracha. It was delicious!

Overall, the experience was good, but the food was a skosh too pricey. I would probably go back, but it will have to be a special occasion.

Visited Hearth ‘61 for the first time. Server gave some recommendations but didn’t know if the oysters were good, we tried anyway and they were good. The lobster bisque was very good. My husband had a martini and the lamb which was highly recommended but we both thought the meat was very bland and chewy. I had a glass of rose and the sea bass which was good but not amazing. I was slightly annoyed the server never once asked how our appetizers, dinner, or if we would like another drink. I don’t think the service or food is good enough to be considered upscale. It’s not that I hated it, I just would never recommend or go back. Nothing special

We ate the following:
1. Shrimp cocktail - fresh and perfectly prepared
2. Winter squash soup - best I’ve ever had
3. Wife had the Steak salad - bleu cheese flavor was too strong for her taste but everything else was good.
4. I had the Ahi Tuna salad - perfect!
