   Great finding a new local restaurant in Duck. Everything was very satisfying. Attentive staff, good atmosphere and great food. Would definitely recommend it and will be sure to go back on our next visit.

   What a nice surprise! We come to OBX fairly frequently off season and saw Heart as a new selection on OpenTable. It's located in the Scarborough Fair shopping area off hwy 12N in Duck, tucked in the back where another restaurant sat last year. Try the pork chop, yes the pork chop at a coastal seafood restaurant. It was super moist, with a delightful spicy mustard/bourbon sauce on top of a nicely flavored rice. One of my dining partners had fresh ahi tuna, which he eats frequently, and was very happy with the portion and how well the kitchen met his "medium" request without drying the tuna out. The only downside was that the place had what OpenTable calls an "energetic" noise level - likely because its interior is done in wood and tile (very tastefully I might add) - nothing to absorb noise. Anyway, we'll be back.

   We were visiting Duck as a family; a group of 4 adults and one 5YO. Found Heart on Yelp. A great experience and can’t wait to go back! Wanted to try everything and recommend sharing so you can. Classic cocktails that were creative and refreshing. Perfect ambiance (there was music!!). The food was unique while approachable, fresh, and truly amazing. The best meal we had all week!

   What a great new spot, Heart is definitely our new #1 for dinner in Duck. Everything we ordered was outstanding and our server was very attentive. We started with house onion rings which had a smooth and delicious crust and great flavor. My husband said his tuna with polenta was very very good and I had mahi mahi with wonderful turnip puree that was so good, I asked for an addition serving. The best part of the meal though was dessert - the heart rose - an apple pastry with the apple cut like a rose with petals surrounded by pastry, it looked beautiful and tasted fantastic. Better than any apple pie or apple dessert we've had. They have a nicely varied menu, I would love to try the bucatini, pappardelle, fish and chips, classic meatballs and some of the salads. The restaurant is a bit hidden and tricky to find, it's in the back of the Scarborough Faire shopping center, but that makes it feels even more cozy an relaxing, as opposed to some of the other places in town that are bigger and noisy.
