It was very pretty inside. The waiter Jonathan and the manager Mr. Raymond were very nice. My order was tasty, my guests enjoyed their food for the most part. We had a note about one plate and we received an entire new dish to replace it which was nice as well. I enjoyed the wine and dessert very much. Overall experience was satisfying, I had fun.
Great service and delicious meal. Houston restaurant week helped too. The menu was brief, but offered excellent selections. A most enjoyable experience!
If I could give 0 stars I would. The steak was burnt with zero flavor. We had a long wait time to be asked what we wanted for drinks and overall it was just a bad experience. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
The food was delicious and very well presented. It was a very good value and the service was quite good. There is a nice ambience and I don't think I have seen a more beautiful chandelier.
Not a quiet and quaint at downtown or even Galveston. This is their Chili’s 🌶 version
The food was really disappointing. We went for HRW 2021 brunch. Chicken fried rib eye had no seasoning although it was hot and crisp. The gravy was pasty yet it was the only thing that gave the steak flavor. My hubby had shrimp & grits which was too salty. So one dish no seasoning, one dish too much salt - inconsistent. Still, the service was good - everyone from the hostess to the waiter to the manager were gracious and helpful... The hostess even directed us to free parking. But it just wasn't worth the drive.
Went for HRB on Sunday. Food lacked seasoning. Long wait time for staff to make rounds and had to keep reminding to bring items.
Awesome service and a great food. We will return..
There is 2 of these restaurants in downtown Houston. I messed up and booked at the one that is in the lobby of hotel. I was expecting a more quiet the executive chef type of business meal is the business meal. Instead it was loud the food was greasyAnd the omnians was horrible.
What a fabulous dinner! We sat at the bar and our server Gigi was just outstanding!!! She knew the menu cold and made great recommendations (Shrimp and grits, crab topped red fish) and was so engaging but not bothersome. Absolutely loved her. The food was delicious and was served quickly and hot. You have to get the bread basket. Best $5 bread basket you will EVER have hands down. It all was great.
The staff was excellent as usual and the food was outstanding. My guest was thoroughly pleased.
Had to wait for table because parties sat at their table after paying bill just talking. Mgmt did not want to ask them to move to bar. We understood but with a wait they should have politely asked. But once we got seated all aspects of the visit was on point. Server, hostess, manager checked on us and apologized for the wait, food was good HRW brunch. Will return!
Wow. Sums up our entire evening. Three of us went for Houston Restaurant Weeks and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The food was outstanding as was the service and ambiance. If there was any negative, the parking can be a bit if a hassle downtown but frankly it’s worth the effort.
This may have been one of the best meals ever.
Enjoyed steak just wish the server was a little more attentive. The 1st time my husband and I came to steak night it was wonderful, but this time not so much. The steaks were great and would of been better had it not been mostly fat. Overall I would return.
Nice restaurant & ambiance. We ordered the Steak Night special which were cooked perfect, medium. The sides were very good as well. Our only minor complaint is our meals were served before we got the cocktails we ordered. Not sure what the problem was but it kinda made the whole experience feel rushed instead of the leisurely dinner we’d hoped for.
Food was mediocre. Seated at a high top table for 2 where both of us had to face a brick wall. Steak lacked flavor - mashed potatoes were not fresh. Dessert was served and we were given ice cream in a hoggendas cup.
Very disappointed. Went to this location (on the Green) after a great event and as soon as I walked in should have listened to my gut and walked out. The interior desperately needs updating. The food was poor but our server was outstanding. This is the only reason why I am giving it a few stars. The dip as an appetizer was ok. My main the ahi tacos were awful. I ate 1 of the 4 and throwing the rest out. Even the rosemary fries were mediocre at best! Basically a sprinkle of rosemary on top for decoration, not even mixed through. My hubby had the fried steak and grits. The grits were thick like a thick mashed potato consistency and dry and the steak was flavorless. Dessert bread pudding was ok, I have had a lot better and it came with a small "tub" of Haggen Dazz ice cream, not even in a bowl but left in the tub. I was not happy with the amount we paid based on my review. Very overpriced. I am tempted to go to The Woodlands location instead (close to where we live) and give it another try. Hopefully it will be better. If not then a BIG thumbs down and waste of money for this chain of restaurant.
As always, great service and great food. One of my favorite places for a casual lunch with friends.
Great meal and great bartender. Gigi is the bartender and is amazing.
Food was ok. My grits were cold. Asked to heat them up and I got a second serving cold. Service was pretty good.
Great cool place just sucks paying for parking
The waitress was very attentive. Meal was ok. I ordered eggs Benedict and the bread was hard. My husband had the Ahi tuna tacos and was pleasantly pleased with his food.
The service was great and the food was excellent!
Great food and our waitress was wonderful and helpful.
Picked this restaurant for dinner , from all of the wonderful choices downtown.. It was a wonderful selection!! The inside decor was warm and inviting. A beautiful chandelier, warm woods that covered the bar shelves that held the vast selection of liquors.. it’s not a large restaurant but the tables are set apart so that you aren’t right on top of each other.. The food was prepared exactly as requested. And quite tasty.. There are other locations, one close to home and I will most definitely try it.. I highly recommend this one.
Food was substandard. Stale bread with starter. Bad smell throughout the property and overall the property was tired and dated. We made excuses after the starter and left to look for somewhere else. I cannot understand how anyone could possible give this place a high rating. At best this is a late night option when other bars have closed.
We celebrated a birthday here. Appetizers (calamari, charcuterie), entrees (filet mignon, brussels sprouts, gouda mac n cheese), and cocktails (pink delicious, just peachy) were all delicious and reasonably priced! The restaurant is beautiful too, and is walking distance to Discovery Green! Would recommend.
the delicious food slapped me right in the taste buds.
Had a great experience. Food was awesome. Will return.
Mother daughter weekend!
Lovely evening. The good was great. So enjoyed everything thanks
Great food and great service, my family and I enjoyed it!
It was for Fathers Day. The food was okay at best.
We have visited all the Hearsay restaurants now (except the new new food truck!) and we love all of them. This one is smaller and has a less “historical” ambience than the others, but the service and food is outstanding. Our server Margaret was super sweet and I felt like she was celebrating our anniversary with us! ❤️ Oh, and I highly recommend the bread board!! YUM!
The food was exceptional with very unique offerings. Our server Diane was the absolute best and went out of her way to make sure we had a wonderful dining experience.
My had a spicy mango margarita and I had the Jalisco Fashion to start things off and they were very good. The spinach/artichoke dip was amazing! I had the salmon dish with shrimp and my wife had the chicken Milanese and both dishes were fantastic!! I had nice Chard with my meal and we just enjoyed the evening. Our sever Cecil was awesome as well.
Date night with my wife. We try some where new every week. So this week I picked Hearsay on the Green and it was a excellent choice. Our server Christian was truly awesome.Needless to say we will be soon.
Disappointing. It’s been a while since I have been to this location, but had an amazing meal at the Galveston location recently. Today they were severely understaffed. Our glasses were dry when we flagged down the waiter, however the food was served shockingly quickly. Sadly, it was not hot. Shrimp and grits were barely warm. Overall disappointing, but will try again hoping they will be fully staffed.
Everything was good. Food, service, ambiance, drinks and prices. The only negative was parking but that’s Downtown of Houston. We arrived after our reservation due to that, but were able to be seated which we appreciated.
Service was good and the food was delicious just seemed a little overpriced but given the location I understand
