   We had a nice evening and the prices were reasonable, especially in the current market. However, the drinks and food were definitely downgraded from when my last visit pre-COVID. All of our drinks were very sugary and seemed to be mainly mixer. The food was okay but nothing great. They used to have the best fries and I was super sad to see they changed them to something way less exciting. Overall it was nice to re-visit an old haunt but I’m also not likely to go back since the food and drinks were underwhelming.

   Before a performance of Torera at the Alley Theatre, we stopped off at Hearsay for a pre-show bite. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated. Everyone was courteous and helpful. The Old Fashioned was a tad strong, but enjoyable. My friend had the blueberry cocktail. It was d'lish. The stuffed chicken dish and Shrimp and Sausage pasta dish were both tasty. The tall ceiling and old brick walls along with the decor make Hearsay en excellent place for a downtown dinner on a Saturday. :)

   My experience was Absolutely Amazing! My husband and I came there when we had a weekend getaway in Downtown. After that Amazing experience, I wanted to take my mom there for brunch. She was so happy with the food and service! It was an Really Amazing that the owner came to the tables (as well as ours) to make sure everything was great. The waiters were very attentive...which made the visit very pleasant. My mom loved the little glasses that they served water in. The Prices are Great!! This will not be our last time and am hoping to bring more people to this establishment.

   Tried this place last Friday for dinner before a show at The Cullen Theater. The food and service was great, and it is a real gem in downtown. Really cool set up and decor.

   The hostess was really rude when we called and said we were going to be a few minutes late. There were plenty of tables when we arrived and when we left so I am not sure why she had to be so rude. Our waiter and our food were fantastic!

   The overall experience was good but there was clear areas of improvement. Place was slow but had to wait to be seated. Waited for drinks to just be told they were out of what I wanted. The wait staff was nice and polite but just doing the basics so I had to get their attention to address needs.

   The food was delicious, the location great and the service good. They got us right in and the hostess very nice. We had a good server, but since the upstairs was a little tight, he hit my chair everytime he went by to serve other tables and that was very distracting. Small complaint for an otherwise great experience.

    This restaurant is in a great location if you're going somewhere in the Theatre District and it makes for a quick get away to I-45 north. The food was good. The wine selection not so much. Upstairs was relatively quiet. We might have purchased a dessert, but weren't given that option, even though we were still within our allotted time. We didn't need the extra calories anyway. All in all, not bad.

    When we arrived, our reserved table for 3 had not been coordinated and we had to wait. They made adjustments to tables and we were seated after a slight delay. The food and service were great.

    Walking in the Hostess greeted and sat us right away! This restaurant is two floors with one set of stairs, note on your reservation if you need to be on the 1st floor. Our waiter gave great menu suggestions! The Whitney cocktail is yummy!

    The food continues to be the standout at Hearsay Market Square. On this visit we had the Ahi Tuna Tacos and the Chicken Milanesa. Both were excellent. The tuna was cooked perfectly and combined with the slaw to make for a tasty snack or entree. The cream sauce on the Milanesa was marked by hints of butter, lemon and capers and was a perfect compliment to the meat. The only drawback to the visit was the spotty and uneven service.

    We went for a Birthday celebration and noted that on the reservation. Our table was ready when we arrived at 6:00 on time. Took a while for waitstaff to take drink orders, then they came out intermittently. Had to ask for water refills. The food was good but not exceptional- no special requests were made. Staff pretty much ignored us and we had to request the bill. No one ever asked about the Birthday. Not on my list to return anytime soon even tho it’s just a block away.

    It is a cool building- looks to be a former 3 story space. I did think it was loud- hard to hear our waiter, but he was also a bit on quiet side. The food was good- nothing super memorable, but good- we had the redfish tacos and the ahi tuna tacos. My redfish tacos were better, partially because they were easier to eat- the tuna tacos were in a shell that was large and fried crisp- maybe a fried wonton wrapper? I don’t remember what the menu said. It seemed to be very much a 20’s something spot, so for us it wasn’t a good match, but I think my daughters might like it

    The main issue I had is it listed our reservation being in the “Main Dining Room”. Well that is in the same room as the bar. While not usually an issue, I was looking for something a little more for our Anniversary dinner. Other than that the staff was very nice and even took my meal off the bill as it didn’t come correctly twice. I didn’t ask them to do that they did it on their own. I’d go there again if we were there and it wasn’t an Anniversary Dinner or something of the like.

    I brought business associates from out of town to hearsay market square. Our experience was excellent! The space is interesting, food and service were outstanding. I had a little trouble finding finding a place to park - hearsay did not have valet service when I arrived, but overall great experience.

    the chairs are too close to each other. I hear the next table conversation and it was annoying. The waitress accommodated me a couple of times. the first floor is beautiful, the second floor is creepy.

    Even with reservations we were seated at the worst table crammed near restrooms, serving area, and way too close to the next table. We literally felt like we were at their table. And the serving area directly next to my seat was messy and noisy with servers gathering there. Hostess refused to move us to another available table. Very rude attitude. Food was also disappointing. Chicken Milanese was just basically a big fried chicken breast with one small artichoke and one small tomato slice. It was awful. I’ve always enjoyed hearsay and the ambiance, but this experience ruined a very special night out. I regret wasting our night out, when it could have easily been a better experience if we’d had a hostess with sense enough to place us at one of the other tables. Disappointed.

    We chose this restaurant because it was fairly close to Wortham Theatre Center as we had tickets to the ballet. Since it was 4:15pm, the restaurant was not crowded but the bar was busy. We waited quite a while for our waiter to show up although he greeted two other couples who had arrived after we did. Thus, the 4 star instead of 5. After that and another long wait for drinks to arrive, everything was ok. Food was delicious and cooked perfectly and was hot when it was served. I had the salmon, brussel sprouts and grits. My husband had the patty melt and said it was really good. I had wine and my husband had cocktails and complemented those. This was our second time there and we will go back.
