Healthy Garden Gourmet Restaurant, Juices, & Pizzeria
The first Saturday of the Covid 19 debacle left Healthy Gardens dining room, largely empty yet the quality and taste of the foods were unaltered. Get out and support the people whose served you before current perceived apocalypse!
We went with some of the tried and true favorites, including the Gamberi Salad and the Split Soup. The soup was piping hot and flavorful and the teriyaki shrimp was excellent without being overly sweet.
Was excited to visit with menu showing many Gluten Free options. Food is At best average in quality. Spoke to server about gluten free items. Ordered a GF pizza which was ok. Ordered falafel with quinoa. He never mentioned these items were not GF. When food came, server said the falafel and the quinoa was not GF. Surprising. Also server had an attitude. We would not return.
I tried the Farm Chicken Chop Salad with honey mustard dressing and found it to be surprisingly good. Get the dressing on the side and apply it as you want it. About half way through I switched to the house dressing as the honey mustard was sweeter than I could handle. As it was Super Bowl Sunday, they were out of all soups except chicken veg, which was good also.
Healthy Garden Voorhees is the most consistent restaurant of it's kind. The foods are fresh and creative while keeping their Mediterranean feel. The Mediterranean salad with grilled cod was real good along with the split pea soup. I stayed away from dessert this time, but my friend had the banana/nutella crepe, which she loved!!
Hat's off to the new cook! I had an excellent Mediterranean Salad with an absolutely delicious lemon-oil dressing that was not too lemony (sp) and was seasoned great. I've had this salad, here, before and this was exceptional. Kim, the server, told me that he was a new cook and he is, definitely a welcome addition to an already good and creative staff. The split pea soup is, always, hearty and hot. Kim always manages the room with care and compassion.
Tonight was quiet, with only a few patrons. The black beans soup was hearty and the Mediterranean salad tp with cod was outstanding.
A most amazing salad! The International Quinoa Salad. Along with the split pea soup made for a, more than substantial dinner!! Kim, was the penultimate start, as always. You should take time and explore this enormous menu!
I had the mushroom soup for a change and found it to be, absolutely, crammed with mushrooms. Go figure!!! This was the first time, even here, where the mushrooms were really designed to be a food and not just something to break up the monotony of the broth. Our server, Kim, suggested the Greek Salad with banana peppers and Chicken Salad on top. The chicken salad was surprisingly good and not just the mayo laden-ed slime that passes for chicken salad in most places. The house Greek dressing was tasty and the banana peppers were a nice touch. As always, Healthy Garden, Voorhees, never disappoints and I, highly recommend this eatery!!!
This place just never fails to impress. Kim, the server, goes out of her way to make patrons feel welcome and provide them with a true dining experience in an atmosphere that is comfortable and friendly. She suggested the Mediterranean Cod Salad (one of their specials) and it was wonderful. I highly recommend it! As always, I substituted cucumber for the avocado!
This place just never fails to impress. Kim, the server, goes out of her way to make patrons feel welcome and provide them with a true dining experience in an atmosphere that is comfortable and friendly. She suggested the Mediterranean Cod Salad (one of their specials) and it was wonderful. I highly recommend!
Greek Cod was the name of the dish on the Specials list and it was a simple compilation of grilled red and green peppers, onions with a side of sliced grape tomatoes and slice black olives topped with feta cheese beside two grilled cod fillets in a light lemon/garlic sauce. It was wonderful! You just don't expect this type of fare from a restaurant masquerading as a pizzeria!! Our server, Kim, was attentive and efficient as always!!!
I’ve ordered from here but never dined in. The food was good, nice portions and good value. The bathroom was gross, so that was a bit off-putting. They should give the place a little TLC.
I took the easy way out and went for the Gamberi Salad. This has got to be the singularly best salad I've had anywhere. As always, Kim managed the dining room with ease and grace. This is one of their newer menu items and I recommend it highly!
I decided to try something different this time and had the Corso Salad with Cucumbers substituting for the avocado. The dressing that they toss it in was sharp but not overbearing. I had it with a piece of grilled cod on it and it was really good. Sorry I dug into it, a little, before I took the picture. Kim, the server, is back from vacation and manages the room with grace and efficiency!
Since this is my, "go to spot", I feel it important to try different things. The Corso Salad has a great combination of smoked turkey, bacon and chicken on mixed greens with tomatoes, croutons and the like. It was quite substantial ants really good!
Food here is always fresh and creative! Kim, the server, is the most gracious and conscientious hostess one could ask for. The Swordfish was wonderful, succulent and flavorful.
I had friends in from our of town and we're all trying to eat healthy. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal!
One of the best things about this restaurant is the vastness of the menu. I had an absolutely wonderful grilled salmon fillet sandwich that was served very hot and it was succulent and juicy. Kim, our server was gracious, as always and very efficient. You just can't find a bad item on this menu!
For a casual, economically priced, local eating establishment, it is always astounding how vast the menu, how competent the staff and how, huge, consistently creative, fresh and delightful this menu is. Go to this place and bring your own wine (though their iced teas are good also)!
Healthy Garden is my "go to" local restaurant, but, they've added some new items to their menu that are truly outstanding. Gamberi salad was just amazing!!! The teriyaki sauce was not overpoweringly sweet, the shaved Parmesan was wonderful. Julia had the new Corso and said that was incredible also!!
Good food, good service, nice people! What else could you want?
Always a great experience. We were so impressed with the only server on the floor tending to multiple tables. She never gets anything wrong and she remains pleasant and cordial with everyone, even as busy as she is! They really need to find more help. Poor girl!
Since this is our "default" eatery, I am working my way through their huge menu. Kim, our server recommended the "Turkey Burger Wrap" which ended up being a wonderful combination of fresh veggies, seasonings and some really tasty turkey. Healthy Garden, Voorhees, is always an excellent and healthy place to eat and Kim is the most gracious host ever!!!
Cozy local pizzeria atmosphere, friendly staff and a wealth of good, healthy food. Split pea soup was delicious, Balsamic grilled chicken salad has a great homemade dressing that has no bite, but a smooth accompaniment to the fresh greens, and the chicken was so tender. Black bean burger was delicious, especially with the fresh avocado finish. Very nice local gem...
Healthy Garden, Voorhees, is consistently above average. This is our "go to" spot and this time, Julia had a flatbread that was the size of a pizza and I had split pea soup (you have to ask for croutons if you want them) and vegetable fettuccine. They were all great!
The food was delicious. They have a huge menu! Everyone should be able to find something here. I chose this restaurant because I heard they were vegan friendly. They really were! The waiter made sure to let me know my choices. I noticed they had a large gluten free menu as well. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Being unabashed regulars at Healthy Garden, we agree that this is the best kept secret around. I tried their signature Salmon with mango chutney and it was wonderful!
Consistently outstanding! This is a neighborhood gem! A Greek salad with grilled salmon was fast better than the norm, with a house made dressing was real nice. The Angus burger was quite dense and lean. The Nutella crepe was really good. Recommendation: Skip the chocolate, out doesn't need it.
The Miso salmon with asparagus and brown rice was outstanding. The asparagus were crunchy and not the least bit tough or stringy. We're always looking forward to the next unique dish from Healthy Garden.
Without a doubt, this has become our "go-to" spot. Whether it's pizza, cod or salmon, the variety and creativity of this little place is unbelievable! The servers are charming and the proprietors are personable and actively involve with your satisfaction. The menu is huge! I had a wrap with cod today and my friend had some sort of taco. They were both wonderful. Don't forget to try the, made by the glass, lemonade!
Working our way through this huge menu is always a treat. We haven't had the same thing twice and have loved every meal. We always, highly recommend Healthy Garden!!!
We weren't really hungry so Julia ordered a medium white pizza with artichokes. She took home half and thoroughly enjoyed what she had. I had a Healthy Garden Salad with Buffalo Chicken on it and it was wonderful also. You can't go wrong with this place!!
This is the definition of a, "neighborhood gem"! Every time we go to Healthy Garden we're pleasantly surprised and delighted with the vast menu. The split pea soup it's made in house and is rich and full bodied. Julia's stir fry was excellent and the shrimp piccata was a treat! Whether you eat in or take out (a large part of their business) support this restaurant! You'll be glad you did!
Quick service. Entrees big enough for two. Good value for the price.
This place is a true, "neighborhood gem", with creative dishes from salads to pizzas to pastas to seafood and more. It is absolutely surprising to find this restaurant, disguised as a pizzeria serving a very broad menu of foods that actually taste really good!! We've been here a number of times and thoroughly enjoying munching our way through this very comprehensive menu!!!
Everyone is entitled to a bad day and this was theirs. I've been here before and will return. The food is usually good, the service is usually friendly and efficient. This just wasn't one of those days. Forgotten orders, forgotten bread slow and a bit of an attitude. We'll give them another try another day. They're usually quite good.
Having been to the "other" Healthy Garden Gourmet Restaurant, we knew to expect good quality fare and we got it. The atmosphere is "simple pizzeria" style, but it's friendly and the foods are varied, natural, tasty and thoughtfully presented. The white pizza was good as were the soups and the shrimp piccata (which had a, more than ample, quantity of good sized shrimp). Our server was charming and what she may have lacked in food service skills, she more than made up for in attentiveness, grace and personality. Either of the two, "Healthy Garden Gourmet" restaurants will delight your palette. Don't forget the crepes. We had the Nutella, something or another. I only had a bite of one of the 3 large crepes, but it was wonderful!!!
Hoagie was fresh and hearty. Chicken stir fry was very good. Juices were good.
First time here. Loved the huge menu. The mushroom soup was fabulous. Tofu stir fry was very generous. I'll be back.
