I had a late lunch at HB Burger and everything was great. I had the mixed green salad, the veggie burger with mashed potatoes, and the toll house cookie pie for dessert. I enjoyed all of it and the service was good. A great casual dining option in Times Square.
Even though the restaurant is closing the end of the month they should still maintain their quality of service. Food took 45 min to get food out.
Burgers were good and served as ordered. Most of the burgers are a la carte, so plan on spending an additional $7.50 for fries.
We had a very nice birthday lunch. Food was great! Thank you.
There is a good selection of burgers, sides and a great New England Clam Chowder. Service was friendly. My husband and I have had several different burgers and enjoyed them all. He enjoys the cole slaw and fries as sides. I enjoy the sweet potato fries. Although we didn't have desserts this time, we had them before and been very satisfied.
We been there before and will go back.
Ambiance was rustic, food was good, service very slow (even though not very busy). Wouldn't bring family, is better for friends' nite out.
Great! Only thing was the bus boys who hovered until there was a clean plate. Great food great drinks
We took a chance and went to HB Burger one night during our visit to New York.
Typically the restaurants around Times Square are tourist traps. Crap food. Rude staff and WAY to loud music.
HB are the opposite. Super friendly staff, awesome burgers (and wings) great music at a normal volume.
My wife is not a great fan of burgers. She actively avoids them if possible. Her review: “The best burger I’ve ever had”
Polite staff and always good food
went with my hubby before a show.. food was great.. but did miss the tater tots.. everything otherwise was great!!
Went for dinner before an event at Town Hall. Had the tuna burger, which was cooked properly. I also loved the mini hot fudge sundae they do there. And it's great that HB offers multiple ice cream choices.
I would expand the number of salad options they offer for those who don't want a burger or want to start with a salad.
I'll be going back the next time I have a show at Town Hall, if not sooner.
Honestly, the burgers were not great. We both ordered medium burgers, my husband's was medium rare and mine was straight up rare (not the best choice for ground beef). I had to pull out a little bit that looked raw. The flavors were okay, pretty standard, nothing special. We ordered the fries, which were very overcooked (just shy of burnt). The fries didn't come with the burgers- we had to pay separately, $6 for one plate of regular fries. Not typical practice for a burger joint. That said, our server was very sweet and attentive. It was also super conveniently located to the theater where we were catching a show after dinner, and the price was right for a quick, cheap (for New York) dinner.
We took our grandkids here after a show. The food was delicious and the waitress was great!
My burger was very good. My daughter had a salad. The portion was perfect for us.
STILL VERY disappointed about not having those tater tots. Brought more people and again they were disappointed not to have the tater tots. no one liked the other choices for an appetizer so we just had our main dishes.. veggie burger was on special and it was excellent. everyone seemed to love their choices so all was good as usual. bring back the tater tots :-)
I'm a New Yorker and see a lot of Broadway shows. This place was in walking distance to all the theaters. Not high end. Simple fare. Food was prepared well and a good value for the money considering the area. Hamburger was as good as most of the more expensive restaurants in the area - and I've eaten in all of them. Fries were especially good and not greasy. Recommend the little $1.99 ice cream Sunday as a good way to end the meal. Service was prompt and courteous.
Great place for my son’s 21st Birthday celebration: Burgers and Beer. We had broadway show tickets so we couldn’t stay too long. The service was expeditions; waiter, Mitchell was very accommodating!
The waiter was great, don't remember his name, late 20s, Asian, possibly Philippino? He was attentive and pleasant. He should definitely be commended. The bus staff, had no clue as to what to do, they kept hovering, maybe because the place wasn't that busy. The food, was just ok, I had the Kobe Burger and could not tell the difference, not worth the 18 bucks, also, the fries were stale, it wasn't busy, at least for a Saturday night.
We went for my moms birthday and we were told that they ran out of Turkey burgers, and when we asked that we just replace it with Grilled Chicken we were charged the Specialty price without any of the speciality toppings. We do not eat red meat so a regular burger was not an option. We will not be going back!
This was basically a Chili’s or Applebee’s. Terrible. My friend had a gluten allergy and they brought her burger out with the bun. We reminded them and they took it in the kitchen and removed the bun and brought it back out. You could see bread all over the bottom of the meat. When we asked for a new burger they were mad. Super gross and rude place. I would never recommend.
This is a great place to get a quick bite before a show. We thought we needed reservations, but it was not necessary. The food was really good, and came out quite quickly.
I’ve been to HB Burger a few times now, and every time had great food, great service and a great time. Burgers are spot on.....the vegetarian one is really tasty, but any an all of the meat ones are delicious! Moist, flavourful and they come on a fresh potato bread roll. Fries are perfectly cooked. And they have a really cool bar. The vibe is old world....it’s like a little oasis off a Times Square...oh, and the prices are very reasonable....not Times Square prices at all. Highly recommend this restaurant.
for the first time I was disappointed as I brought friends for lunch and found that you have no more tater tots. Everyone I bring there come for the tater tots mostly. Everything else was fine and I see that some salads and things have changed and prices have gone up. I can deal with most of it but without the tater tots my nephew won't want to go there and neither will 2 of my friends. They are already looking for another place we can go to when we get together because those were our fun different thing to get. I just wanted to mention it and maybe you would consider putting them back as a regular again.
Overall HB Burger was good but the service was slow and they were not very crowded. Also a bit pricey to not have the burgers come with a side.
This is a regular for me when I’m in the city. It feels like the menu has been paired down, and the food was below average at this visit. Waitress and hostess was very nice, though their seating strategy is strange (empty row of two tops and they kept piling us on top of each other. Leaving empty tables all around the area we were seated. I would no longer recommend this place to friends.
Had a nice time
The food at HB Burger was fresh and the burgers were hot. Overall we had a good experience.
The ambiance is nothing to write home about and we were a bit disappointed that neither Bison burgers or Crab cake burgers were available. The online menu and the menus on the wall show the old menus which included these items. We asked but we were told that these were original menu items and no longer available. The waiter was attentive and courteous. Price for NYC was OK.
Bester burger meines Lebens und richtig schnelle bedienung
Looking for a place in midtown to stop for a bite - this was perfect. Burgers, salads, shakes... does not break the bank. very typical family stop.
The food and service were great, however, we had 2 people in our party with gluten allergies, and the restaurant did not have any gluten-free buns, and we were told that the fryers were cross-contaminated, making their food selection very minimal.
Great pre-show burger joint that can accommodate a larger group.
Great place to stop in for a burger before a show. Burgers were cooked to perfection and so tasty. Place was bigger than I had expected and next time I would ask for a table on the first floor. However it was good for large groups. Price was average for the area.
Great, service was awesome!
Food was ok, chicken sandwich had absolutely no flavor. Fried pickles were excellent. But it was a Friday night and they ran out of coffee by 8, I mean seriously!
The food was good. The prices were good for NYC. The service was fair.
Absolutely the best burgers! Always a great experience when in Manhattan
So glad we found this place! Our burgers were amazing!! The prices were reasonable by NYC standards, and the service was great! Couldn’t ask for more, we’ll definitely return!
Our orders were incorrect. The burgers were just ok. The key lime pie was dreadful.
Very good burger place. The service was extremely slow.
