We ordered the French Dip it was very salty bun was so soggy you could not pick up the sandwich you had to use a fork to eat it. Very expensive for just a sandwich no side fries, fruit etc. my husband had the corn chowder soup said the soup was very average. Still not sure how you can charge that much for a sandwich alone? Has always been one of our favorite restaurants in the area no hurry to go back.

We arrived on a busy Saturday night with a reservation. The restaurant was very busy but we were greeted and seated right away. The food was outstanding as usual. I had the rotisserie chicken sandwich which is a favorite of mine. My husband always gets the chicken pot pie. Both meals were outstanding. Our waiter was friendly and very busy. My only complaint is the noise level makes it somewhat difficult to have a conversation. The other problem is the parking is very difficult. We have a handicap sticker for my husband who uses a cane but sadly there are very few of these spaces available. That being said Hazelwood is still our favorite restaurant

Solid and enjoyable experience! Great place to show up for a great and relaxed meal and enjoy others’ company. Pasta and French onion soup was excellent! Were seated in side room that was ok in way of ambiance, but pleasantly quiet. Other areas have a bit more ambiance, but more noise. Overall very good, and recommend, but we save 5 star for exceptional.

After the server changed, we didn’t get nearly follow through. I would’ve expected. He checked on our food and it was fantastic, but never came back to ask if anybody wanted a drink for water. So instead of staying longer, we decided to leave I will know it was a very busy evening and perhaps European we’re shortstaffed.

Food was good, service initially good. However, our waiter, Mark, had another table where he spent a significant amount of time. He would talk with them for extended periods of time. My observation was they were spending more money, had ordered a bottle of wine, and he was extremely attentive to them at the expense of his other customers (not just us). We were done with our meal, including dessert, after about an hour and a half but it took at least 20 minutes to get his attention to come back to our table with the bill. What started out as a great experience turned out to a frustrating time and I did not leave feeling positive about our meal.

Our reservation was at 7 on a Saturday, and the place was packed. Even so, we were seated quickly. The food also came out sooner than we expected. The food was amazing, including the fondue appetizer, scallops and jambalaya. Everything was delicious. The jambalaya was spicier than I’ve had elsewhere in MN but not so much to take away from the other flavors. The server was attentive and friendly. We shared the key lime pie, which was a good thing because there was plenty for two people. We are looking forward to our return visit!

Made Valentine's Day reservation well in advance. Invited two other couples who'd never been there. Since we eat there about 2-3 times a month we had been talking it up to them. Celebrating all three couples being married over 30 years, that's love! We were seated in the bar area in a booth by the entrance to the bathrooms, next to the rotisserie unit which was being cleaned. [There was steam/smoke and a view of the staff person's backside. Picture plumber's crack.] We asked when they walked us over there if we could seat somewhere else but were told rather tersely, no it's Valentine's Day, we're fully booked. Lots of traffic to the kitchen and bathroom and the servers stand right there to pick up bar drinks. It was loud, busy, smelly, and very unpleasant. The food and server were very good but the overall experience considering the environment wasn't poor. They've expanded the restaurant seating greatly over the last two years and they should take the 2-3 booths leading up to the bathroom and use them for something other than customer seating.
