   My dad and I are regulars at Haywire Uptown. It was my dad’s birthday celebration this evening and I made a reservation, stated that this was his birthday, and the staff went all out with a special gift to my Dad! What an incredible surprise we experienced! We got a regular waiter and was shocked to find a special gift. They presented my father. It was incredible. We can’t think the staff enough for the special gift. We’ve made Haywire Uptown our special place to have dinner. Having dinner here every Sunday since March 2022 has been a sacred dinner outing for both of us. Jake was excellent! He did everything right and we can’t thank him enough for making both of us feel special.

   We love Haywire. It’s our go-to date night place. We sat outside this time and although we were told it was climate controlled it was pretty chilly. That was the only downfall. Other than that, great food, service, and drinks - as usual.

   Reservation at 8:45, waited almost 30 minutes with an 85 year old and no place to sit.

   Overall the food was great but service was bad. Had a reservation and was sat almost 15mins later. When we sat down from 745-8 no one even checked on us or gave us water but the people beside us had been checked on twice in that time. Finally she came to us. We ordered drinks and those took forever. Finally we had water and drinks around 820. At this time we put our order in. I was missing food, we never got a water refill or asked if we wanted more drinks. the table beside us got another round and was very well taken care of. i did leave a tip because again im not that person. you can def tell we were singled out/: our food was great but we never were asked

    Haywire is a good restaurant with good food. The location can be a challenge with valet and sitting in traffic. The service was attentive until we wanted coffee as it was a cold night 32 degrees for Dallas is cold. The server said oh I may have to brew a pot ok we will be fine with that - she Brought our coffee and said oh there was some in the pot .. it was hours old and tasted like an old shoe.

    Well, I just have to say Gavin is ALWAYS so nice to me and my friends when we come in. We were there last night and it was really busy so he wasn’t able to stop by. But I just have to say he is the reason love coming in along with the food! Keep it up Gavin!

    Food was great and hot..my only complaint was the later took forever with everything. Even getting us straws and even on a packed day I’ve never had a waiter take forever

    We sat “outside” on the enclosed patio. The heaters were working very well. It was actually warmer there than in the main restaurant. The waitress was great, very attentive. We had the fried green tomatoes and the crab dip for appetizers. They were very large and were really good! The steaks were cooked well, juicy and well seasoned. Loved the pecan pie they brought my daughter for her birthday.

    I was very disappointed in both service and entrées. The server seemed overwhelmed and many items were mixed up in our order. The appetizers and desert were excellent especially the onion rings, fried green tomatoes and pecan pie. The redfish and hamburger were so overcooked they were inedible. The ribeye was good, but nothing special. To their credit, they acknowledged the issues and comp the redfish and several drinks. For a birthday dinner with family and friends this was not a good outcome. Having been to the location in Plano, I know they can do better.

    Overall good but the valet lost my phone number so could not call for car. Appetizer came out before drinks and service seemed rushed like the place was understaffed. Food good.

    First time visiting and was pleasantly surprised. Loved the Texas theme and vibe. Food was great had the Barbacoa Grilled Cheese and the Porch Swing signature cocktail. Service was great, Ridge was our server he was pleasant kindly made some recommendations for the first timer which I ordered and was happy I did. Had the chicken tortilla soup which is tomato base. Initially I frowned up because I’m not a fan of tomato soup but again I was pleasantly surprised the soup was great. Would definitely visit again.

    Seated and greeted promptly, then forgotten about. Our soup was dropped off and we waited for 5+ minutes for a soup spoon! “Watched” the Manager (middle-aged black woman with short hair) scream at the kitchen staff while we listened. Not a pleasant experience at all!!

    As always, Haywire did not disappoint. Great atmosphere,terrific food and Gavin is the Best Waiter in the Industry. He is very attentive and Spot on with all his Suggestions. I will be back in town in June and look forward to Dining there again.

    Decided on Haywire for brunch. This was my second time experiencing the brunch at this restaurant and the first was better and more memorable. Although I had a reservation, we still had to sit and wait about 20 minutes to get a table. The service was a bit slow and the kitchen was backed up. Our food was served warm instead of hot. Also, the food didn’t taste as good as I remembered. We left feeling unsatisfied.

    Service was very very slow. From the moment we sat down and had to wait about 20min for our server to come greet us to our food taking a very long time to make its way to our table. Our waiter was kind and polite and apologized for the long wait times. It seems like the restaurant is doing very poorly with how they operate. The food was mediocre at best. A lot of unnecessary spices are added which overwhelms you with every bite you take.

    BEST BRUNCH EVER! Our waitress Berlin was so friendly and helpful for our first time here. She gave us tremendous service and amazing recommendations to try. We will definitely be coming back again to try for dinner. 10/10
