Deeply disappointed with this visit to Haywire, which is usually spot on. Seated thirty minutes past our reservation time. The food was great but they brought the entrees literally 2 minutes after the appetizers. Drink orders were wrong twice. Had to ask for proper utensils - twice. Service was totally off.

Haywire is a unique and fun eating experience. Diverse menu to accommodate all tastebuds. The Elk tacos are a wonderful starter and there is more I am hoping to try out. Service is great and dressed colorfully. Haywire has an extensive bar with one of the highest end bourbon collections in Dallas.

Fantastic food! Everything had a little spice to it, but not overpowering- my 10 year old even loved the chili butter on the steak. The waiter was phenomenal and chatty, which was refreshing these days.

Patience is needed. Although service was pleasant and thoughtful, it was sparse. It's obvious the demand on Saturday evenings is greater than their capacity. Had a reservation for 8:00 and wasn't seated until 8:40. Food took a while but was great.

The food and service are always awesome at Haywire. The menu is great - very Texan/Southern style food. My margarita was unusually sour and they remade it in seconds. Our server was new, but she was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their steaks, soup, burgers, etc. My one complaint is the noise level. The restaurant is so noisy you literally have to shout from one end of the table to the other to hear each other. I'm not sure what can be done about that, but it would really help if they could address it but adding something to absorb all the noise.

Our first waitress was very slow and wasn’t giving us the attention as we saw that she was giving to her other guest. Waited 30 minutes just to get drinks and never came back to refill when she took out food order it took more than 45 minutes to get it while and other guest that arrived after us got there food quickly. She kept giving us excuses why we weren’t getting our food finally, we had to call over a manager and he got us another waitress that took care of us very well . Our money works the same way just like anyone else that was in that restaurant .

I’ve been going to haywire for over two years now, and have brought many friends, family and have used haywire for business parties and business development lunches. We brought two great friends that had never been to haywire last night for dinner. We were seated on the patio, but had not requested that and did not necessarily want that. Nevertheless, we had no clue what we were about to encounter. From the time we sat down until the time we left an hour and a half after our reservation, it was total chaos as far as one adjacent table. It was a table of 6 to 7 people that were there when we arrived, and that remained when we left. From extreme loud yelling, extreme, screaming, laughing, to vulgarities flying at the top of their voice, it was a total nightmare for our guest and us during dinner. All tables around us could not keep their eyes off of them, and I mentioned it to our waitress who had the audacity to say yeah I agree, but would you please get up and tell them. Of course , I could not believe I was being asked to do something that it was the restaurants job to do. I said no absolutely not get your manager to do it. Within five minutes the manager on duty that night came over and stated that it sounded like there must’ve been a problem that we were having. he knew exactly what the problem was, I stated the problem and ask if he could simply tell them to quit being so disruptive to us and the entire restaurant. We are not unreasonable people just people that want to enjoy dinner at a normal restaurant with friends. He stated that it was their policy not to require guest to be that way and that they could not say anything to them. I asked him, so we are the ones that were supposed to endure what they are not by policy allowed to do. He said that’s the policy. then another gentleman of some manager capacity came by gave me a card and stated yeah they have been that way all evening. Needless to say nothing was done. I will never be back.

We had the unfortunate luck to be there when a very large group was also at the restaurant. It was clear that the group took priority over the rest of the customers. After waiting 30 minutes to order our food, we waited another hour for it to arrive. It’s unfortunate as we had high expectations based on other reviews. Unfortunately we caught them on a bad night and wouldn’t risk trying again.

Not my first visit and took some colleagues for their first experience. Food and beverages were excellent as on my 2 previous visits but service was really poor compared to previous occasions. Lack of interest and engagement from our service, sploilt the fabulous choice of food and drinks that we selected. I know the industry is struggling with retention of and recruitment of staff and the manager apologised, offering complimentary desserts. I sincerely believe that this was a one off and isn't a true reflection of a great restaurant that I have previously recommended to others

It was my bday dinner so I was already excited. The food was a 5 out if 10, ambiance was a 8! I really don’t have any complaints. I really love the fireplace that we sat by. I recommend this for an intimate date or a large table party. The waiter was also very nice.

We celebrated our anniversary there and the whole staff was awesome! Very attentive service. We never felt rushed and allowed to enjoy our evening. The food was amazing. By far the best steak we’ve had in a long time! The pecan pie is a must. Highly recommend.

We have always loved Haywire but we had a poor experience last night. We had booked a table for 10 weeks in advance to celebrate birthdays. We were excited to show our family Haywire but we had horrible service that caused the dinner to be 2.5 hours long. The waiter disappeared for 20+ minutes at a time and drinks took a very long time. Unfortunately, I don’t know if we will be back because it was terrible service on a night when it wasn’t even busy.

WOW. What an incredible dining experience! Our first visit here and we will 100% be back. Started with the Haywire, the Rhinestone Cowgirl and Chef’s “Favorite 4.” We wanted to try a little of everything being our first time and everything was delicious. The onion rings and fried green tomatoes were crispy and their sauces paired wonderfully. The queso and tacos were equally as great and very flavorful. I ordered the chicken fried steak for my meal and it was so crunchy and the jalapeno gravy was delicious. The star of the night had to be the pork chop my husband ordered. Neither one of us could get enough. It was so full of flavor, beautifully cooked and HUGE. We joked we should have shared it for sure. The havarti mac and cheese was gooey and delicious with a crunchy top. We finished with the pecan pie and it hit ALL the notes. Crunchy, goody, sweet, and boozey. Our waitress was very nice and attentive! I’d recommended everyone come try it! You won’t be disappointed.

We have been to Haywire several times. We had a reservation for 7:30. We arrived a few minutes before, but weren’t seated until nearly 8:00. We saw several people come in after us who were seated right away. Also, the people at the hostess stand kept looking over at us nervously. So, I think they knew they messed up. No apology was given for the late seating. The service otherwise was good & the food was good. Being older, it rankles me when I have been overlooked. The valet parking is also a mess. It now requires you to make a u turn & then walk across a busy str. Not a safe situation. We’ll go back, but it’ll be a bit. Get your act together!

The restaurant was quite loud which distracted from the overall experience. The food was good if not exceptional and in keeping with the western/Texas/ranch theme. The waiter was helpful and attentive but it did take a while to get someone to the table. It seemed that as a table for only 2 we were a low priority. I’ve never been to the downtown location before, only Legacy West which I preferred. A good place to take out of towners.

The food was delicious and delivered in a timely manner. You must try the crab dip and fried green tomatoes as appetizers. Our waiter was Antonio and he was an absolute joy, we all enjoyed his excellent service and attention to detail.

I love this place! They have HANDS DOWN the BEST cobb salad I have ever eaten! They also have delicious chips & queso, a great drink selection, a fun vibe, and excellent service!
