We had the restaurant week menu and usually the dishes selected for restaurant week appear unremarkable and impersonal. I would say Haymaker is one of the only restaurants I have been to which felt like the quality of the food was worth the value. Would definitely visit again!
Dinner At haymaker was delicious. My husband and I decided to eat out last night and I’m very happy with their choice at haymaker.

Absolutely theeee best service I’ve had in a long time.
The host, bartender, waiter, and chefs made it feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. The open kitchen concept is amazing. We got the 7 course meal and I think I’m still dreaming about it. Each course was literally off the top of the head chef’s brain (I could hear him calling out what to make). Everything paired soooo well and it made me try things I wouldn’t normally get. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. I can not wait to go back!
We sat outside and enjoyed the chef's tasting menu. Dinner was delicious and very filling. The wait staff was excellent. The outdoor seating area is small (3 tables) and on the side of the building, so it is quiet.

Our first visit and Haymaker exceeded our expectations. Now our favorite West Seattle Restaurant by far!
I think our waitress was having a bad night - kind of abrupt with an angry air. The food was good - great asparagus but nothing special ( we do as good a job at home). The burrata was creamy and delicious with some nice pickled onion.
Our pasta dishes were ok. The peas in my dish were mealy and not bright and fresh. My husbands Risotto was mushy.
The atmosphere felt a little cold/ sparse.
The cost for the meal seemed pretty high for what we ordered.
We love the oyster specials on Wednesdays and tried some of the new Spring cocktail menu. We shared two sides, the hot chicken sandwich (amazing!) and a pasta too. Great flavors and night out. Highly recommended!
Hands down one of the best, excellent value for money, tasteful and modern restaurants in Seattle.
First of all, this was our first time at Haymaker so we always keep an open mind on every aspect of our dining experience. We enjoyed our first dinner there and we would definitely go back! They followed COVID-19 safety protocols and we appreciated it and felt more comfortable dining inside. The meal was pretty good; the drinks were very creative (and delish!).

The interior is very spacious and spotlessly clean. We felt very safe and the food was amazing. I have annoying dietary restrictions (dairy and gluten) and they were very accommodating and didn't make me feel like I was being a pain with these special requests.

Fantastic first time experience minus sitting on the sidewalk. It worked out but I thought it was a patio?! Heat lamp helped with the chill but not the most effective. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll definitely go back and will recommend... just indoors which was super nice but then we go the sidewalk. 😂🥶
Service was personable, genuine, kind, helpful, and fun. Food was a little slow to arrive but we enjoyed the ambience so much we didn't mind.

Everything, I mean everything! was excellent. We did the Valentines Day special and wow—we didn’t have a plate that we didn’t love. Service was superb too. We will be back and order for takeout too!!
I’ve dined at Haymaker multiple times and my experience has always been fantastic. The service is perfect, the menu rotates just the right amount to stay interesting but consistently delicious and every cocktail I’ve tried has been flavorful and creative. Their happy hour specials are a particularly good value. This is becoming one of my go-to restaurants to suggest to my foodie friends when they’re visiting me in west Seattle.

Took my grandaughter for her 16th BD and we had the tasting menu. It was amazing, interesting, fun, and delicious. The only reason no 5 stars on all is because the outside seating area is like a wind tunnel and we were very cold by the end of the meal in spite of being dressed warmly. Perhaps some kind of a wind block or more heaters? Other than that it was perfect and the service was attentive and informative.
Great experience at Haymaker- reservable outdoor 2 and 4 tops (our preference), well spaced with strong heaters. We started with the Wednesday Prosecco and oysters special, tried a few things on the Happy Hour menu and a few dishes from the dinner menu. Delicious chicken sandwich and pasta! We will be back to try the chef’s tasting menu next time. Highly recommend!
Went in with 0 expectations to try and appreciate the experience. The server was very sweet and helpful but a few things bothered me. Table for two isnt huge(isnt a big deal) but my partner and I like to share dishes so we usually like to get and enjoy a dish at a time but she wanted us to put in a full order at the same time which was annoying because they came out together when we wanted them separate. Food was fine but definitely trying to hard. Simple dishes were delicious and the more “adventurous” ones were alright. Ive dined at plenty of amazing and creative restaurants in seattle and so on but this one was trying to be something theyre not. I still had a good time and made sure to take care of the restaurant but honestly wouldn’t recommend it. Hopefully this review wont be taken personal and just a way to change for the better for themselves and help other foodies know what theyre getting into when they dine here.
Haymaker was wonderful. Their patio is private, safe and WARM with individual heat lamps at every table. The food was delicious and Shawn was great. We’ll be back soon!

Spent a great evening at Haymaker in West Seattle.
I wasn't sure how outdoor dining was going to go as the temps were near freezing. The infra-red heaters did a great job of keeping us warm.
During Covid the menu is reduced but don't worry, you should be able to find something you like. We were a group of four and we ordered various things off the menu. All items were very good.
Shawn was a big help in choosing our wine and a great server. Thank-you Shawn.

Such a treat to experience Haymaker during Seattle Restaurant Week. A terrific price for the amount of food our party of five received with the three-course meal. The seafood Risotto with saffron broth was spectacular! Staff were all very professional and personable, creating a very delightful and special evening for us!
Anniversary
At first we were asked if we knew what we wanted to order for food. When we said we hadn't the female server walked away with a flip of her hand. What we wanted to order were drinks, but were not asked by her.
It wasn't until the manager Jin, took on our table did our experience change 180. He made all the difference, what a great employee to have. He was knowledgeable, courteous, funny and personable. Because of his service, we will be back
We dined alfresco on a Wednesday evening, and opted for the tasting menu after an aperitif. The wine selections were priced well, and there were great domestic and international options. Chef took us on a wonderful tour of cuisine while the staff made great conversation and offered fantastic service. Would certainly visit again!
