Beautiful space, great service and excellent meal. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be recommending to friends. A great addition to the neighnorhood!
We are a big fan of the sister restaurant down the street so we decided to check it out. We were pleasantly surprised with the food and service here. This restaurant really fits into the Seattle vibe and is really what the West Seattle area needs right now. I know we will be back.
Just a bit slow on the service, but everything we ordered was beautiful and delicious. And while the tables and chairs could use an upgrade, the overall atmosphere was mostly comfortable, and made for a very good dinner experience.
let me start out by saying they had only been open a week when we were there, so still working out details and kinks. That being said, the service needs a little bit of TLC. Our server was fumbling and stumbling over himself and the menu, which again, they are new, so that is understandable. But he should be able to answer basic questions. The Maitre D was PHENOMENAL. He was working the whole restaurant with ease. Not his first rodeo.
Ok, now for the good stuff...the food was AMAZING. Top notch. The chef was there as well as the person he was training and oh my goddddd. Phenomenal team. It’s an open kitchen concept (which we love) and watching them work and make sure everything is perfect was exciting. You can see the passion they all have for the food. Every dish was its own unique flavor pallet but everything worked together. We did the Chefs Tasting menu and, to be honest, they could charge more (and we’d pay more) because it was so much food and the ingredients were fresh. Anyone can cook a satisfactory meal, but the attention to the quality of their ingredients really shined through each plate. We even had a person who is allergic to garlic. I would have thought that would have been hard for the chef to navigate and accommodate...not even a little bit. The dishes without garlic did NOT lack in flavor and were just as delicious as the ones with garlic.
We will 100% be back as we are locals and love food and wine. They need to polish up some of the servers but do NOT let that stop you from coming in here. The food was exquisite.
We went during the soft opening and would never have known—there were no glitches whatsoever. The food was delicious, wait staff very professional, everything was lovely. Will definitely return
Excellent atmosphere and delicious food. The ahi small plate was simple perfection and you can’t go wrong with any of the pasta. Save room for the cinnamon gelato.
We ate here Wednesday night. First had the misto appetizer and loved it. The duck was actually the best duck I’ve ever had and my husband enjoyed his rabbit bolognese. Our service (by Jack) was excellent, even though the place was hopping. It appeared they might need a dedicated host/hostess as I noticed many of the servers having to jump in and seat people even though they were very busy and some people stood and waited a while. Food prices seemed appropriate, but I think the wine by the glass prices were a little high (but that’s everywhere these days). My only real complaint is the chairs are most uncomfortable! Jack very kindly got me a pillow for my back (recent surgery) but even my husband agreed the chairs were not a good choice. Overall, we were very happy (especially during the first week of operation) and will definitely be back!!
Food and service were great. The one thing that would make this dining experience much better would be comfortable seating. Dining at an establishment such as this, one can spend up to 2 hours considering all the courses.
Delicious food, great drinks and friendly/knowledgeable servers.
