I was there to celebrate my Son’s 17th birthday, our hostess and table attendant Tiffany was OUTSTANDING!! My hats off to the chef and kitchen staff for a remarkable Chef’s Tasting Menu!! Superb, you’ve got a Loyal fan here :)
Incredible food! Incredible service! What a great place, and they managed social distancing and keeping things sanitary extremely well. 😋
So yum! We sat outside on patio, very distant from other tables, we had the recommended chefs ensemble - so it was about 7 courses or small bites, such a good array of veggies, pasta, fish, and desert! Service was amazing. Can’t go wrong, highly recommend!
The chicken sandwich is the best I've ever had, I'll be back!
The celery gin drink is fabulous!! We had the chef’s dinner selection and loved it.
Dining inside was comfortable, felt very safe with plenty of distancing, staff masked single use menus, etc. Service excellent and fast. Happy Hour menu is good value. Zucchini and crab starter is excellent as is the burger.
Always a pleasure. Best oysters in town!
Dined on two Tuesday nights (a few weeks apart) and had great experiences both times. Great drinks. Awesome service. Appetizers were amazing. Salmon was solid.
Haymaker is one of our favorite places to go. The 8 year old specifically asked for her birthday dinner here. The food is always great and they have a very affordable Happy Hour.
COVID precautions seemed very good, al fresco dining was very nice, well spaced out. Food was very good, recommend the burger, the beet salad and the zucchini with crab. French fries good, but a huge serving. Service generally good but check was slow coming and processing.
Fantastic Phase 1.5 experience. Was able to request an outdoor table thru open door, service was friendly and super pro, pasta and burger was great.
We had our first dine-in experience in months (and our first date night as well) at Haymaker on Saturday June 20th. It was fantastic. They had taken all of the steps to ensure safety you would expect and look for these days. Beyond that, the food and service was wonderful as was their wine pairing suggestion. We continue to love Haymaker and highly recommend.
10/10 best restaurant experience since returning from lockdown. The food and service was impeccable, I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
First meal after quarantine! It was amazing!
I very much want to like this place. I generally love all of the owners other restaurants particularly Raccolto in West Seattle. Unfortunately this one is yet to achieve that.
This particular meal was just after reopening from the Covid pandemic. That said they specialize in pasta and the pasta was gummy. The chicken sandwich was delicious though I’m not sure that is what a upscale restaurant you should be serving.
It is it not worth the value though we hope they will keep trying. We would like more reliable upscale restaurants in West Seattle.
Excellent food and outstanding service! I would highly recommend Haymaker to everyone.
Grapefruit mimosas, French toast, crab Benedict, breakfast sandwich, steak and eggs. All the food we ordered was prepared with care and delightfully presented. Exceptional service, and welcoming decor. An unexpected wonderful Sunday surprise.
We ordered everything on the tasting menu minus the focaccia, just to have a fun variety of flavors. It was delicious, we especially like the Brussel sprouts and the garden salad. Also the Rib was spectacular. What an enjoyable experience. there were four of us and we were full at the end.
The only thing about my meal at Haymaker I did not like was the obsequious waiter. I arrived 8 minutes before my friend. During that time, he was slow to offer me a beverage, but quick to pressure me to order the Radish appetizer, which I watched him peddle to other tables. No takers. Then rather than letting us know about any specials, he basically read the entire menu to us. FYI most customers can read. Stop that. Part of this was recommending the pork loin, which he called a pork chop (note to this waiter-- these are NOT the same thing) which he said was the most delicious thing on the menu-- I definitely have to disagree with that-- the rest of the food was excellent, but the pork loin was just OK.) I'd recommend the brussel sprouts and the crab salad-- and the black cod was amazing. This place is in my neighborhood and the food has consistently been excellent, and generally the service has been good-- but this guy really needs some coaching.
Excellent service. The tuna crudo was amazing - only wish there'd been more of it.
We liked this better than its older sister Raccolto. The food was equally as good and the ambience is more restful and spacious. You can conveniently park for free in the Junction's public parking behind the stores across the street.
Waitress was very pushy...kept telling us we hadn't ordered enough. Too expensive for such small portions.
Service was very slow in getting us in for our reservation but the eggs of the day and English muffin were delicious. The French toast could have been soaked in egg longer or else cut not so thick.
Wait person wanted to go home. Not wait on us. Every table had a bottle of water except ours. And my water stayed empty for 25 minutes. My drink was empty for 35 minutes and not ONCE did she ask if I needed another. Sad because the food is great. Front of the house sucks. Totally mismanaged and untrained. We spent the last 35 minutes of our stay watching the staff, including who we believe to be the manager, yucking it up in the kitchen instead of tending to the customers. This place can’t help itself
Haymaker was great for a date night. The food was amazing and the drinks (cocktails and wine) were also very good. Would recommend to anyone.
Honestly, the food was so extremely overly salted and weirdly flavored. We had three different dishes that were so salty that I could barely eat it. The bread was stale and just heated, with more salt on top. One of the dishes had such a strange flavor and was not edible, that we sent it back. To the restaurant's credit- they did comp that dish on our bill. Also- the restaurant itself was really smoky and hazy inside. Seemed like the steam/smoke from kitchen was pouring into the restaurant. Left smelling strongly of the food and smoke. The staff were very friendly and attentive, but we just did not enjoy the food at all and had a poor experience. We wanted it to be better!
It was okay. I would try it again. It seemed like they relied on too much salt and failed to develop other flavor profiles.
Excellent meal from start to finish. Loved the service. Amazing bloody Mary’s and brunch dishes. Definitely get the fritters for dessert! Hope to be back at this fantastic spot right next to the farmers market.
Great place for brunch but you don’t get much for your money and food was slow coming out!
I did not love it, the food was okay, the service was a little disjointed and slow but they were nice.
We ordered dungeness crab salad, beet salad, foccachio with anchovies and butter, my husband ordered scallops and I had their house pasta.
The beet salad was tasty but was not a nice presentation, the beets were the pale beets in a white bowl sitting on a creme fraiche and hazelnuts, white and beige. The crab salad was white and beige, nothing green and over dressed. They were out of foccachio and gave us a baguette but when we asked about the anchovies they were also out of those. My husbands scallops were fine and my pasta was very good, they were also white and beige on white plates.............
We keep coming back because the everything is consistently wonderful.
Great food in a great location! We enjoyed the Italian cuisine, the ambiance, and the service. A wonderful spot in West Seattle owned by the same people who run Raccolto. Grazie mille!
We loved the food super fresh Ahi starter nicely balanced the house focaccia was delicious. The pasta with butter and black pepper was so good. Pork loin was full of flavor tender and just the right touch with sweetness in the apples. The spaetzle was so light and fluffy. Really great dinner. The only complaint is the crappy tables and chairs. But that won’t stop us from enjoying some really great food in a lovely room.
We met our friends for dinner and the first thing was the long tables all facing the same direction. It makes conversation very awkward with a group of people and there were a lot of these tables. The acoustics were good thank goodness or the table placement would have made conversation impossible. The menu is small, but plenty of options. We found the sizes of the pasta dishes confusing, as one was huge and another tiny, but both prices similar. We ended up ordering two of the smaller pasta plates. It was pricey for our meal for what we got. The food was good, but nothing I was gushing over Doubtful that I would go back. For the price there are lots of fabulous meals out there.
Cocktails were good but small relative to the price. Our server was neither attentive nor genuinely nice. She brought some sort of attitude to work with her that day, or that’s just how she is. She was passive aggressively unkind and unprofessional. I didn’t do anything to her other than sit down and wait about 5-10 minutes to be asked for my drink order, while I waited for a friend. will not be returning to Haymaker nor recommend this place to other. This server was that displeasing.
Awesome all around. Can’t go wrong with Haymaker.
Food was good if a bit too rich and cream heavy on some of the dishes
They delivered the vegetables as appetizers and not with main meal, they were meant to go along with the entrees so were cold by the time mains arrived. The server was rude.
Sat in a weird shaped booth which didn’t not allow for a conversation amongst 4 people.
The most delicious brunch in West Seattle (and of the top 5 in Seattle). Everything had such complex and airy flavors. My husband and I visited a few weeks ago, then I went again last weekend with my brunch group. Both times I ordered the Biscuits & Gravy and the shareable hashbrowns. The seasonal omelet and french toast are also delectable. The pricing is not prohibitive for such a tasty find. I highly recommend.
