Enjoyed our chefs table meal here! We were looking for something outstanding and fun with great atmosphere and food and found it here!
Fabulous!! Food and service were great! We try to go whenever we're in Charlotte!
Sub-par service and inadequate execution, tomato gravy tasted like tomato bisque out of a can, fried green tomatoes soggy and cold, etc. 2nd visit, first was the same there’ll be no third, waste of time and money
Service upstairs was absolutely horrible. We were seated for 7-8 minutes before we were even greeted. Did not receive a drink refill the entire meal and was completely out of all water at the table for half the meal. I was offered another orange juice drink once the server finally showed back up and we were completely done eating. Had to get up to find our server to request simple things like ketchup for the bland roasted potatoes. Our server took an unbearable amount of time to do anything at all. The steak on the steak and eggs was cooked well done despite being ordered medium. THE BURGER WAS SO BAD. I ordered it cooked medium and it also arrived well done. The patty was so tough and low quality. It was perfectly shaped as if they buy pre-pattied burgers. We were sat upstairs even though there was plenty of room downstairs where the ambiance was so much better. The music was so loud. It was awkward considering there were all of 2/3 table seated upstairs. An overall horrible, horrible experience and a complete waste of money. I highly recommend going to any other place in Charlotte. You will regret coming here.
Food was OK and service was slow. A little pricy for what you get as well.
We double dated to go see the van Gogh immersive experience in Camp north end and chose Haymaker for our dinner and it did not disappoint. We all ate different dishes and they were all delicious!!
Overall, I was impressed with the variety of specialty drinks and cocktails. The meal selection was OK, but my wife ordered the pasta. It was a very small portion for being under the large plate category and I thought the price was a bit high for what we received. I enjoyed my burger.
Waited about two hours for food. Server was fine but it wasn’t a good experience.
Such an amazing experience! Food and service was outstanding!!!
We were so excited to try out haymaker while on our quick weekend trip to Charlotte. We arrived earlier than our reservation thanks to quicker than expected travel time and we were told that they were going to clean off a table and seat us immediately. After 20 mins of waiting we asked again to which a different hostess said they could not seat us until our reservation time. We waited another 15 minutes while other people of the same size party or larger without reservations were sat before our table was ready. After we ordered our food took 45 mins to arrive and was cold. Our waiter was pleasant but busy and it seemed the kitchen could not keep up with the amount of people it was serving. Overall it was a disappointing experience.
We went for brunch. We had a reservation and still had to wait 20 minutes. We ordered quickly but our food took way too long (other tables seated after us were getting their food, some ordering the same items). The food was just..aggressively mediocre. Our waiter was fantastic but the rest of the experience was a huge letdown.
Haymaker was a great dining experience. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere is very nice, the food was good, and the drinks were amazing.
I had a reservation through Open Table, so my friend and I were seated at a standard table right away. It was next to the kitchen, so I felt like I was at the Chef's Table - watching the energized kitchen staff hustle to handle the orders. The wait staff also hustled to handle their load. Although it took a while to get our orders, we were satisfied with our drinks and bacon fat beignets as we waited and watched the interesting orders passing our table.
The menu selection was very good, and we appreciated their use of fresh, local food items.
Food over priced and poorly prepared. Which is a travesty given its locally grown and sourced. Martini was borderline lukewarm. Duck was over cooked and rubbery, vegetables were under cooked and over salted and the service….. lazy. The salad was decent. Table next to is sent their dish back TWICE!!
I understand off nights but this was not good from any angle and this level of incompetence goes deeper than just a one off.
Very loud, waited a full hour for our food and 15 minutes to be seated despite having a reservation. Food was good, nice server but the experience was terrible.
Sara was our server and very attentive and friendly. The kitchen was a little slow but Sara and the cooks made up for it. Great food.
We arrived at 8:15, a reasonable time for dinner. Appetizers took over 1 hour to arrive. Cocktails took 30 minutes to arrive after ordered. We wont be returning.
Was excited to try something new, the menu sounded amazing. We were disappointed. We were seated upstairs In the back corner. The temperature sitting at the table was uncomfortably hot. The light at the table was so bright, I felt like I needed sunglasses. Service was slow, our waitress was nice, but seemed really busy and not very knowledgeable about drafts, menu items etc. The food for the most part was just okay, not worth the price.
Terrible service, okay food. Not worth the money
The restaurant had a nice ambiance, very clean and modern. The food selection was on the smaller side, but staff was very accommodating to dietary requirements. It was not a good fit for a party with children, but would work well for a business meeting, date, or as a hang out with friends. Great location and we appreciated farm-to-table.
Nice brunch spot for cute drinks with friends. Food was amazing
Great haymaker breakfast plate nothing fancy but it hit the spot along with the good cocktails.
We went for brunch, and the food was just ok. The bacon fat “ beignets” are not beignets. They’re doughnuts. They’re good, but they’re just not beignets.
I ordered the eggs Benton, which was pretty bland and unremarkable, but everyone else liked their food a lot.
The biggest disappointment was the bloody Mary’s, which were so gross they were mostly undrinkable, even after some serious doctoring. They just tasted like shrimp cocktail sauce.
The atmosphere was great, and maybe their dinners are delicious. But, based on their brunch, I wouldn’t go again. Also, we never once got a refill on waters.
Food was ok, we waited 1 hour for our food after booking a table. Food was decent, my friends food was heavily salted. I wouldn't go back.
First time here will def come back. Loved the food.
Food was good, but not really that memorable, with the exception of the Chicken Wings that were delicious. Will try it again to see if I just didn't get the right items on the menu.
We had a great dinner and the service was excellent!
For the price the portions were small. This was a supposed to be a dinner portion but looked more like a small plate. However, the food was delicious.
I have been to the haymaker before the pandemic and enjoyed the night life bar there but I went for lunch on Sunday and it was not very enjoyable. Our server, Quinten was awesome, helpful and courteous even when I became hangry but we waited for a table long after our reservation so decided to sit at the bar instead because we were so hungry. We ordered around 2:30 (I took a time stamped photo right after we put in our order). We waited and talked with other guests that were waiting for their food too. Quinten made sure we were okay and that our drinks were taken care of which I really appreciated about him!
After an hour went by he went to check again and said it should be coming out soon. After waiting for an hour and 20 minutes after ordering we finally received our food.
It was atrocious. The bacon on my BLT tasted as if it had been sitting on coals for the whole hour. It was just smoky beyond taste. That made the rest of the sandwich real of smoke. I could not enjoy it. The chips along with it were soggy. The bread was okay and the jalapeño biscuit we ordered was good too.
My partner had steak and eggs. He asked it to be cooked medium rare and received a bland piece of skirt steak cooked well done. It was tough and hard to eat. His eggs were also ordered “over easy” and those too were well done. The potatoes were okay.
We did not complain. We are what we could of the food since we were starving and went on about our day tipping Quinten extra since it had nothing to do with him.
Will not be returning. Would not suggest a friend to eat there. 2/10
Went on the 4th of July, wait was very long (1-1.5 hrs) to get food. When served food was not hot, and bacon was over cooked. The waiter was very attentive and apologetic he also, said this wasn’t the norm. Don’t know if I’ll be returning. The French toast looked amazing but didn’t live up to the hype.
Nice place. Love the bar downstairs.
The build out is beautiful; making the ambiance calm and aesthetically pleasing.
Vibrant dishes of various tastes. We enjoyed!
They sat us in the very back upstairs by the air ducts, probably the worst seating in the house even though they had other tables open. Our waiter was inexperienced, not a good listener, brought us the wrong drinks and never checked on us. The food was delicious. This place could do much better.
Delicious! Everything was fantastic, we will definitely be back!
The great staff at Haymaker did a wonderful of accommodating my request for a table for 2 and a table for 5 to surprise my daughter for her birthday. The staff was friendly, helpful, and prompt. Food was delicious!
Great food, friendly staff the service was a little slow though
Gréât Sunday brunch. The Haymaker breakfast is delicious. Good Bloody Mary.
Went on a brunch date on a Sunday! Overall experience and service was great at Haymaker. Food was delicious and very portioned the speciality drinks were also good! Great vibes
Jackson’s service was on point.
The atmosphere for brunch was great, and we all enjoyed our food. The wait time for our food was long, and the cocktails seemed overpriced, but overall it was a great spot for a Sunday afternoon!
