Entrees are massive, so one may buy more than needed. Otherwise, delicious and fun, and not at all crowded. Will definitely be back.
Service not so good. I still had to wait 15 mins even though I had a reservation
Great brunch spot! Yummy drinks and the food was fresh delicious. We enjoyed the whole experience
Really fantastic food and focused menu. Extremely friendly and professional staff. Great atmosphere and well designed space. Wonderful experience and will be back!
Very limited menu. No fish. Portions extremely small. I will not go to Haymaker again. Poor value!
Great brunch
We chose Haymaker because it was highly rated for brunch. The menu was limited and our food was temperate. The coffee and service was good.
Brunch is always amazing and they have late seating for it!!!
In town visiting
Food and service were wonderful. My new fav place uptown!
Great atmosphere, great food, great bartender and great music! We very much enjoyed our visit!
It’s ok, but nothing special. Food was good, prosecco was warm and flat. Not coming back. Expensive. No atmosphere. Service reminds of a local beer bar.
Bartender was awesome
Loved the shrimp and grits and our waiter was amazing! Would def go back
Great ambiance and the food is always great. Try the duck!!
Saturday brunch! Food and atmosphere excellent. Eggs Benton were terrific. Only improvement would have been bottomless mimosas!
Great place to grab brunch and have some delicious cocktails. The food was fantastic and so was the service. Super trendy!
Always a wonderful time at Haymaker. The staff is friendly and extremely culinary experienced. Their menu changes seasonally, so I always have something new to try.
Eat the biscuit!!!
We sat outside and the service was great. They also had great protocols for COVID, hand-sanitizer and temp checks. The food was amazing!
I did NOT like the fact that I paid for parking, had a reservation and still had to stand there and wait because my friend hadn’t arrived yet. Will not come back again
Food was delicious and beverage specials were spot on. Waitress warmed up eventually, but, her knowledge made up for her cool exterior.
Will be back---that bacon!!!
We went for the Woodford pairing and it was a fantastic experience. Amazing dishes and great service. Was a pleasure to meet the chef as well. Felt very safe and socially distanced given the current times, very clean. 10/10 would recommend and can’t wait to return for their regular menu.
Very disappointed in the Haymaker. Not the same restaurant I went to several months ago. Poorly managed.
I ordered the shrimp a la plancha (which means shrimp on a board but it’s basically shrimp and grits so the chef must not know the true meaning of the words “a la plancha”).
The grits were good. Not the best I’ve had but tasty enough.
My bf had the hot chicken breakfast sandwich, which he said was okay - not great or mind blowing.
The decor and ambiance is definitely better downstairs, we were up, which was fine.
Ordered two Old Fashioned’s with bacon-infused bourbon. They were okay. I love craft cocktails and for the price expected something a bit more elevated with the garnish, etc.
I actually ordered a side of bacon to make my own garnish.
For the price, I’ve definitely had better brunch experiences. Haymaker is fine. I’d go back, but just not anytime soon. A bit lackluster of an experience for me. Everything was “just okay” or “pretty good” not great by any means.
Cheers!
I ordered the Cinnamon Bread French Toast and scrambled eggs and OMG they were amazing! Great service and great food. There is a paid parking lot right across the street so it was convenient to get to.
Nice spot for lunch and after work in a relaxed atmosphere
Perfect spot! Glad I went there!
Our eggs had to be sent back twice because they were cooked incorrrectly (the waitress was irritated with the kitchen about it). I found a piece of plastic in my biscuit. I didn’t say anything because at that point the egg issue had already happened. We were asked to leave so another party could be seated, which I could understand because of limited seating for COVID, but it was pretty abrupt and we were not there for an extended time. The food that we did eat was good, but it was not exceptional.
Great service and attention to detail temperature taken at the door felt covid safe
Excellent food and excellent service. Will return often. Thanks!
Bar staff is awesome. Fried chicken is amazing. Drinks are great.
Great food, Okay prices, food took extremely too long to be served.
Food was excellent, loved the boho vibe and had awesome service! Would highly recommend!!! We will be returning soon!
Very good quiche for Brunch. Service was a little lax.
Great locally sourced proteins and produce . Great Chef who created an inspired brunch which is the hardest meal for which to be creative
Great food, but limited menu options. Might be due to COVID.
Marketed as farm to table but dinner special was fried fish!
Super covid safe! Was so nice to go out and have a great experience while feeling really safe.
Truly one of the top five places for brunch in North Carolina
