Food was amazing! Peach toast app was my favorite. Cool atmosphere
Great farm to table food!
Absolutely amazing dining experience. The food was superb and the service was outstanding
Wow! What a gorgeous space, great location, amazing fresh menu, creative cocktails, everything was fabulous! Only reason I gave 4 stars was the service -- waiter seemed bored, not happy to be there -- no smile and disengaged. When asked about the menu (clarification on the sweetness of a cocktail, spiciness of gazpacho, etc) he pretty much had nothing to add, was not helpful. My daughter asked what nonalcoholic beverages they had besides soda and sweet tea, could they make a cocktail, etc and he was not helpful. The restaurant was empty (5pm Sunday) and the bartender I'm sure would have loved to accommodate but he said they had nothing. We ordered small plates, asked for the salad to come out first and that we were sharing it. Instead all plates came together and he asked AFTER the fact (10 min after they were brought) if that was OK. Too late. He did not fit the atmosphere and I'm sure quality of what you expect.
Everything was great except the portion of shrimp a la plancha. Flavor was on point but 4 shrimp left a bit to be desired, especially after seeing the portion sizes of all the other dishes at my table.
The servers were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. It was our anniversary! It was our first time eating at Haymaker and everything we tasted was great. Pork belly was yummy and the panisse was great. Thanks for a great night.
Everything about the food was fantastic. The restaurant is simply gorgeous inside with a great local menu and excellent wine selection.
Great anniversary celebration! We'll definitely be back!
The food was absolutely amazing! Fresh ingredients, NC/SC sourced. Service was superb!
I had been looking forward to trying Haymaker for a while and was excited that I could get last minute brunch recommendations. Our server was just really annoying and pushy yet didn't check on us much. I also made it clear that I am a strict vegetarian so I would like my fried green tomato sandwich without bacon. It came with bacon on the side in the same plate touching my potatoes and sandwich. In addition, I really wanted the Dutch pancake mentioned in the Charlotte Agenda Best Places to Brunch in Charlotte article but it was French toast on the menu so that was disappointing.
The food is always great. My biggest complaint is how loud it is. I felt like I was screaming trying to talk to someone just across the table.
Fried Chicken was under cooked (eg raw)but they replaced it quickly
Food and service were great. Ambience is great on the main floor. We were sat in the upstairs loft which feels downscale and dull by comparison.
Had a wonderful dinner at Haymaker. You can tell farm to table makes a huge difference. My entrée was more enjoyable because of the freshness and taste of the vegetables than anything else. I have dietary considerations and the kitchen was very open to working with me to find something that I could eat. Drinks were good and service was wonderful. A 5-star experience!!
The food was amazing the tomato jam on the burger was A1. Xavier was super knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to our needs as a large party.
Our server was amazing and the ambiance was perfect for a chill birthday brunch!
Exceptionally prepared good quality food. We have dined all over the world and were very pleased by the wonderful offerings here. We will return when in CLT again.
Everything was great. The wait staff was slightly understaffed but that’s no fault of their own. The tator tots were the best thing we ate. We will definitely return.
Overall great but it’s always a pain when the server doesn’t check back after dropping the entrees. We needed a few things and would’ve ordered more.
We went for brunch! We were a fairly large party (10) and all the servers were attentive to us. Only one order came out wrong but they quickly fixed it.
We went for brunch on the day of a college football game at the stadium, so it was a little crazy. We had reserved standard seating but were seated at a high top table by the bar. That was disappointing. The food was good, the service was good and the restaurant is lovely.
Went on a recommendation from a local. Service was good, food wasn’t great. Loved the location and the vibe. Bummed that the food wasn’t better.
Great service and wonderful food!
Unique menu and great service
Peach toast should have been amazing but it was just OK. The pork belly was delicious. The pork shoulder (al pastor) was good not great. The torteloni was fantastic. I guess we were both expecting a different vibe from reading about the chef and the ingredients on the site. Our expectations were probably a little lofty. Good experience overall but not mind blowing.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful decor and very spacious restaurant. The only thing that was bothersome was patron at the other table who decided to put his feet on the chair.
The food was a bit too salty.
Some food great and some very ho hum. So loud we couldn’t have a conversation. Drinking place I suppose vs dining.
First time there and it was a real treat. Great new place in uptown Charlotte. So nice to have an alternative to the usual fare in that neighborhood. Excellent, cheerful server. Good wine list. Highly recommend.
Drinks & bar service - great. Food prior to moving to the bar for a drink - underwhelming. The food came out in less than 5-minutes tops. The food reflected this quick turn as it seemed as though the eggs, potatoes, and biscuit were all sitting under a heat lamp or in a warmer. Maybe that's a known, but it wasn't a visible one from our table if so. Either way, I've spent a lot of time in the restaurant business and restaurants come and go... Just a quick note for improvements maybe.
The interior is beautiful, staff attentive and nice, and food absolutely scrumptious. We were in town for a wedding and had brunch there Saturday. We decided to go back Sunday for brunch again and both meals were wonderful.
We came for brunch when they first opened and it was almost as if no one had communicated about seating customers so the initial impression was a little unorganized. The food was great, although the choice of music on a Sunday morning 10am was not fitting and crazy loud. Otherwise this seemed to be a nice place, I'll have to check out at a different time of day.
Screaming baby at the bar! Not enough workers. This time was a miss but we have had good previous experiences
Wonderful food and cocktails! A bit noisy on the ground floor especially.
Great food and drinks! Good service and loved the environment. Parking was tricky but that’s uptown for ya!
Good food, just a little too salty.
