   We went to Haymaker for a birthday brunch and both the food and bevy’s were delicious! The shrimp and grits, burger, and chicken sandwich were all a hot and the crispy homefries were to die for. It’s a beautiful venue and the service was great! Not a ton of parking but there’s a garage a stones throw away so all in all, it was amazing and we will be back.

   The Mother’s Day experience was great! We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and were quickly seated. The service was excellent, food was well above expectation, and atmosphere was laid back and quite pleasant. We will absolutely be back.

    Went for the mother's day brunch. The food was fine, definitely not worth the $45 per person price. The biscuits were cold and tough, and the main course (steak and eggs) was cold as well. The cornmeal fried oysters were notable, very tasty. Would not come here again.

    Ok set menu for Mother's Day but nothing traditional like eggs benedict or any sort of pastries to choose from? Don't go here unless you want trendy cuisine. My wife and daughter had the crabcakes; totally over-priced for what you got (2 50-cent piece sized crab cakes). Waitress could have cared less about our experience, even when we had to point out that my daughter had a cut and damage to her clothing because of a poorly cleaned up broken piece of glassware from a previous diner.

    Made a reservations for after my college graduation, they were able to accommodate our party of 7 perfectly. Our waiter was extremely friendly, food was phenomenal and the cocktails were like none I’ve had before - greatly crafted!

    I have eaten here on several occasions and my experience this past Saturday was the worst I’ve ever had at Haymaker. We were celebrating a birthday which was never acknowledged by any of the staff (it was noted in my reservation). Secondly, I requested upstairs and we were seated downstairs. I have asked for upstairs the last three times I’ve made reservations but the request has never been fulfilled. Our waiter, Zachary was not at the level of professionalism you would expect from a “fine dining” restaurant. He waited until we were ready to order to mention they were out of the prime rib and short rib which is what my partner wanted. We then needed more time to decide and my partner ended up going with the salmon. The waiter came back and said actually we are out of that too! Not to mention they were also out of the appetizer we wanted. This menu is too small to be out of 3 entrees! We ordered another round of drinks and the waiter left the empty glasses from the first round in our table the entire time. There was no attention to detail. I was excited to treat my partner to a nice dinner for his birthday and it was anything but that.

    Overall outstanding! Food was amazing. Service was great. Some seasonal menu transitions wouldn't hurt. Mushrooms on toast was delicious albeit a bit heavy for hot weather months. Amazing execution and flavor development throughout the meal. Hands down the best broccolini I've had in years. Excellent wine selection. Only suggestion would be more glass pours available which could open up more variety. I'll go back and back again. Proud to have this spot in Charlotte. 5 courses plus dessert and 3 glass pours for under $200. Perfect date night. Well done Haymaker crew!

    I was there celebrating a bday...party of 2. My server was nice and polite, however there was a table of about 8-10 ppl sitting near us and it appeared more attention was catered to them instead of caring for us. I ordered the short ribs and Mac n cheese... my short ribs came out and no Mac n cheese... they should have come out together...it took about an additional 15 minutes for me to receive them and at this point my short rubs were cold...I wasn't asked if I wanted it reheated or anything..was not the best experience

    It was a good experience! We went early on a Monday so it wasn’t busy. I had an issue with the open table reservation charge, but the management double checked with me and made sure everything was okay. The food was amazing, I had the wedge salad and I split the macaroni and the fries. My drink was the Espada, and it was nice - not my favorite but it was still a really well made drink. No complaints and will definitely be coming back!

    Food at Haymaker was good, but nothing special. Cocktails were above average but didn’t carry the experience enough to come back. Pretty loud/casual experience for the price. Service was okay, no big complaints, but again nothing spectacular for what you pay.

    The service was great and very polite. Everything else was a little disappointing. The draft beer selection was very limited, my short ribs came with a lot of fat/grizzle and the polenta they sat on was over cooked.

    We chose Haymaker largely because we couldn't find a good alternative for Easter brunch. The food was extraordinarily heavy, if not tasteful, and the ambience was only a step better than a diner. We were seated very near the kitchen making for a less-than-classy experience. On the positive side, our server Savannah was quite good. We shall not be returning.

    Compared to other brunch spots in the area—probably wouldn’t hit this one up again. $45 for one biscuit, one crab cake (both of mediocre flavor) and a small bowl of shrimp and rice ‘grits’. Totally overpriced. My daughters’s oysters were overcooked and her frittata was too as well as had zero seasoning. Disappointed in our Easter Brunch.

    When we arrive there, we did Right away, they must be very shorthanded because the drinks took forever to get there then when they brought the bread, there was four of us at the table. They only brought three biscuits and three plates, which I found a little on the bloody Mary’s were so atrociously hot that you could drink them. The deviled eggs were two days or a day old and they told us this that they have pre-made all the food for today. You only could have your steak one way which I found really weird they didn’t ask with the Crabcakes any sauces, like cocktail sauce or tartar sauce. This was not a good experience at all this time we have been there several times for the cost the value was very poor.

    I made a reservation for eight, not knowing the kitchen would be closing 30 minutes after getting seated, and the bar would be closing a fee mins after the kitchen. I would have NEVER made a reservation that late.

    Nice place. Host seated our party. Ordered the shrimp and grits. Good flavor over cooked. Also ordered the french toast and a side order of bacon. They came out separate and the french toast was cold. Waitress did not refill coffee or water.
