Your hotel is awesome. Had a wonderful time visiting Salem and the hotel. Location was terrific. The tavern and restaurant were great to have at our hotel. Loved our stay!!!

We had a reservation for 3 for 6:00 pm. Some friends of ours made the decision to drive down from Dartmouth. Our hostess was so gracious and kind that she worked her magic and was able to accommodate all 5 of us. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND!

We went here on a Friday night with reservations first weekend in September. There was a wedding going on but the tavern wasnt crowded. We picked this based on the website saying it was casual dining with a kid friendly menu. Going there I def felt a bit underdressed in jean shorts but Im sure its nothing they arent used to. We asked about if they had chicken tenders and french fries for our 7 year old and was told "uh Im not sure, let me bring out a kids menu". At which point he brought back one kids menu an activity book even though we had two kids which caused some dissention between our kids but we were already seated for 30 mins at that point. I found it odd he didnt know if they had chicken tenders since there are like 4 things on the kids menu. The food was really really good though. Everything was really good. My glass of wine was a strict pour if not under poured which is only an issue for me at that price point. We also got the spicy paloma which was good but isnt really a paloma by any means. Definately would go back though.

Great place, beautiful venue and great service. Wine was a bit less expensive than other fancy restaurants. Don't worry about the dress code a lot of tourists were wearing flip flops and jeans .

The service and food were exceptional. Highly recommend! I was glad I had made a reservation because it was quite busy. There was a wedding going on while we were there so the food came out slowly but we didn’t mind at all. The seafood chowder was delicious!! One in our party has celiac and our server was attentive and spoke to the kitchen about what was safe for her and we all truly enjoyed our meal. The spicy Paloma was also delicious. I look forward to going back!

The food was amazing but they didn’t take our meal order for over an hour. We were there for a bachelorette dinner and they gave us all a free drink, which was amazing! Our waitress and host were very kind and fun.

Beautiful setting, very intimate. Almost every table feels private. Recommend Reservations - seating was fast as they had our table reserved. Food is upscale Tavern Fare and beautifully executed. There are options for all foodies - my daughters and I all have dietary restrictions and the chef was able to accommodate all of our requests for our food. Dessert Menu looked good, but we were too full!

I made a dinner reservation for Nathaniel’s for our wedding anniversary . Upon arrival was told the dining room had a function going on and we had a table in the Tavern We did not want to eat in the bar area and was very upset . Someone should have reached out to inform me ahead of time . The tavern was awful and food almost as bad a very disappointing anniversary dinner . We were told drinks on them however they were on our bill and my husband said just pay it so we can get out of here . Never going back Don’t plan a special dinner here unless you want to be disappointed

Lovely evening at the Tavern. The room had a nice cozy feel without the tables being crushed together. I was there to catch up with friends, and we stayed 3 hours or so. We had dinner and drinks, and there was no rush to vacate, which was nice. The food choices were excellent, with everyone expressing liking their meals. I had my heart set on a lobster roll, but the market price was steep ($40). However, that's no different from other places this year. I don't go to Salem often, but this is definitely my favorite place for casual, relaxed meals.

The Waitress didn’t hear our request for water. Took my wifes plate before she was all finished. Didn’t hear that we both wanted coffee. Not much taste in the food. But our breakfast were quit different. Excellent service from the waitress. And tastefull food.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch here. The service was excellent and the ambience was simply perfect. Lingered for a while with friends after starting to catch up over a few espresso martinis at a corner round table. A memorable visit after a tour of the House of Seven Gables. I would come back!

Had lunch here while visiting Salem for the weekend. I think it’s normally quieter but there was a wedding with DJ nextdoor in the Grand Ballroom. Food and service were perfect. Price for lunch was what I’d expect for the area. Food was excellent- seasoned well, came out hot. I had the haddock sandwich and my friend had a burger- we both enjoyed our meals. Ambience was nice, nice chairs, cool and dimly lit. I would recommend and definitely will return if in town again.

Our celebratory dinner at the Tavern was lovely! Our server, Matt, was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. With the exception of one meal where the burger was cooked “more than medium” , we were pleased with the food and the presentation. The menu, which looked spare at first glance, offered many delicious options. Our starter, the New England Cheese Board, was exceptional. Our service was never rushed and Matt was attentive from a distance… just right!

I love the relaxed atmosphere and comfy seating of the tavern. Lots of menu choices so always something for everyone, from hardy dishes to lighter fare and always well prepared.

Both Nathaniels and Tavern on the Green are must dos when visiting Salem. This was my girlfriend and I’s 4th time visiting Salem and probably the 7th time dining with the Hawthorne. For us the food doesn’t get any better in Salem. Always something to look forward to when visiting. The Eggs Benedict is fantastic for breakfast.

The ambience is nice, and the waitress we had was excellent. She was the best part of the experience. I had the quiche- it was scorched on top and soggy - not good. My friend had the eggs Benedict which she said were good.
