Very nice room, excellent food, but a little pricey. Service was excellent (Thanks Luis) and nice selection of nice wines.

As usual the food was excellent. I dine here at least once a week. We always have a nice time.

The service was very friendly and attentive. The entrees - filet mignon and salmon were excellent. The chopped salad great. The roasted red potatoes were not fresh - had been sitting for some time. Food took an unusually long time to arrive. But we will return because, overall, the food was excellent.

My wife’s birthday

We celebrated a friend’s birthday in high style in the gardens at the lovely Hawthorne Grill. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. Every course was beautifully presented and delicious. We can’t wait to return.

Great restaurant. Dined outside on two separate evenings.
Social distancing and fresh air.
Service was great as were the lamb, swordfish, and shrimp scampi.

What a wonderful meal and awesome service! Would highly recommend Scallops and Filet! Our server Camille was attentive and friendly and Andrew was professional and friendly. The chef , Megan made time to say hello after sending her our compliments on a wonderful meal!

They were out of several of the items we tried to order. However, the food we did get was excellent.

Service was abysmal. Seated and after 15 minutes had to flag down a waiter just to order a cocktail (which turned out to be very good...the only high point of the night). Waited another 15-20 minutes before wait staff arrived to ask about our order.At this point we had had enough of the miscues and asked for our check.
Would not recommend this to anyone until the service staff has been trained.

Fantastic service starting at receptionist, I mentioned we were from Texas and celebrating my wife's birthday. The manager stopped by our table to wish her well, Hugo our server was outstanding.

We had a GREAT time at Hawthorne Grill with some old friends we hadn't seen in a long time. The service, food and wine were over the top!!! My hat is off to you guys!

The service was fast and friendly. Our steaks arrived promptly and were prepared to perfection. Everything was great!

Unimpressed from the start. Waiter forgot we were in his section, so it took far too long to be tended to. Steak was incredibly overcooked and had to send it back to get made correct (wanted mid rare and came well-done).
Will not be going back.

Made reservation a week in advanced for outside dining
In the past we were seated on the patio and were offered the option of a happy hour menu
This past visit we were informed the option was not available to us due to were we were seated
This did not s seem appropriate as we were there on a Friday night at 5.30
And to top it off the food was not good

The food and service was excellent. The noise level was higher than I liked. I would say a great place for a group dinner not as good for an date or intimate dinner.

Never any complaint or dissatisfaction.
Conversation is always positive, humorous, and special with servers.
Will always recommend the restaurant even to non-guests of the JW Marriott.

The Hawthorne Grill ALWAYS serve excellent food with tremendous service in a most pleasant atmosphere....our favorite restaurant!!!

Summary: no specific negatives but it fell just shy of expectations.

Friendly staff, but a bit sloppy (e.g. With water refills splashing about and such). Considering the venue/price I would expect more polish and refinement from service to the food. The staff is friendly, but in more of a casual dining/diner sort of way.

Dinner Scallops plate: the flavor was good but had some grit or something that wasn’t completely washed out.

Anniversary

All of the food was absolutely amazing. From the bread, to the appetizers, to the steak, even the drinks. This is now my favorite restaurant l. And the staff was very attentive as well.

Both of our steaks were excellent as was the bread and the service. The sides (roasted potatoes and asparagus) were lackluster and the dessert was the worst cheesecake that I have had, ever. It wasn't just not great, it was bad. In summary, great steak and excellent service but disappointing sides and dessert.

Well we started with the tortilla soup, excellent for sure, the calamari was outstanding as well. My wife had a BLT wedge salad, all good for sure. Our main course consisted of 1 filet, 1 prime rib, 1 “special” tuna, & my scallops. The scallops, prime rib & filet were very good. The bad part was the “special tuna”, it was extremely dry, my wife could hardly get by the first bite. One of the head guys stopped by and asked how everything was, I almost said “just fine” then I thought NOPE not today so I mentioned the dry tuna, he immediately engaged by wife and lifted the plate from in front of her and asked what else he could bring her. She ordered the scallops and they were delivered very quickly and were outstanding. The key is that the folks at Hawthorn Grill know what customer service is all about and they recovered quickly and graciously. GREAT JOB!!!

Disappointed more with service vs meals. Not an upscale steakhouse experience. Our server was very nice however room for improvement - did not introduce herself, did not offer specials (until my husband asked).
I ordered a cocktail I typically don't order this particular one unless I'm at a high end bar or restaurant "French Martini" because they tend to get it wrong although it's simple. The bartender missed the mark, no big deal, so I informed the server, she graciously returned it to the bar with my dissatisfaction only to return with the same drink stirred, stating the bartender says it's right but if you want her to make another one I can take it back "who does that"! Of course I do but I'm not going to set myself up for further issues tonight, so I kept the drink and let it sit there the entire night and settled for a glass of wine "open and pour" no issues. We ordered salads Cesar and chopped both - good; entrees: Ribeye - good and Scallops - very good. With so many fine dining options in Vegas the bar is set very high, I like to support restaurants off the strip but my expectations remain high.

We were celebrating my friend’s bday, none of us dined here before and we were impressed with food and service. Everybody were attentive, fulfilled all our needs and we felt very special

Delicious food! Excellent Service!!! Anselmo is a great server and has our favorites memorized. We always enjoy chatting with him. Always our favorite dinner of the week!

The staff helped organizing my marriage proposal to my now wife (i gave her a better ring-upgrade) They gave me the best table, they were very nice and they put a message “will you marry me again” in the dessert plate. Overall they got an 11 out of 10!!
