    The service was exceptional and able to make accommodations for our group. Everyone’s food was perfect! Can’t say enough to recommend this restaurant.

    HORRIBLE!!!! Our waiter was not interested in doing his job, short and hard to find. Backup bus help and servers where good, tried really hard to assist in anyway they could. They had a Father's Day menu, think they couldn't get anything wrong, but EVERYTHING was HORRIBLE. Seemed extremely understaffed, HALF of the restaurant was looking and waiting for the manager to complain about food, service and wait time. Kitchen needs a new chef, the one they have appears not to care what he sends out to customers

    We go to Hawthorne often because staff members are wonderful. They provide excellent service and are very kind. As for food, you need a new chef!

    We had reservations for 6:15 but by 6:30 the Rack of Lamb was sold out and by 7:00 the special Father's Day desert was sold out. The kitchen was terribly slow, food was barely warm, and the staff appeared to be overworked and frustrated. We have been here several times, and this was by the far the worst we have ever experienced.

    It was our 25th Anniversary. The service provided by our waiter was extremely poor. Our waters were left empty and we were mostly ignored. The table next to us however, was given the gold standard. The same waiter kept coming up to them and kept their water filled if it was even half empty. He was very attentive to them. We were very disappointed as we had been looking forward to this for some time as we had celebrated our Anniversary the year before and at that time very much enjoyed our experience. That is why returned. Having worked at a gourmet restaurant for many years in the past I always tip over 20% when i receive excellent servive. We wrote an email to the manager and 4 days later have still not received a reply. I waited to see if they would show that care before posting this but as with most customer service nowadays. No one cares.

    We ate at Hawthorne quite awhile ago and loved it. The menu was great, but the prices were a little out of our pocketbook to go very often. However, for our 65th anniversary we decided this would be the perfect spot. Everything was just right. We especially loved relaxing in the bar for a predinner cocktail, and the weather was lovely enough for us to enjoy our meal outside near the falls. The food was delicious, I was honored by a visit from a duck, and our overall experience for this special occasion was just right. Thank you. Well be back.
