   I really wanted to loved Hawksmoor but the value just wasn't there. We spent $800+ for a party of 4 and there were a few really shocking issues for a dinner of that price point. Here's what was at issue: - We got the surf and turf and it was clear the lobster has freezer burn - it was very mushy and borderline inedible. - The pricing for their grass finished and other steaks were not transparent. We had to ask repeatedly about pricing, the complexity and permutations were mind boggling. - The restaurant is shockingly loud, all hard surfaces. I've been in noisy restaurants and bars but this was at another level. It was like eating in grand central station as they are throwing a festival. - There were a lack of reasonable wines on the menu, the median price of a bottle of wine was easily $150+.

   From arrival to departure, our experience at Hawksmoor was a delight. The ambiance, the knowledge of the entire staff and the care that was taken to ensure we had a wonderful time was unmatched. We came for Sunday Roast but also ordered items a la carte from the menu. The French 75, the Pork Belly appetizer, and the Sticky Toffee Pudding are not to be missed. My boyfriend left while giving the dining room a standing ovation. We will be back again and again, and will recommend to all of our friends!

   Overall, a bit underwhelming. Compared to the London locations, this experience didn’t live up to expectations and definitely didn’t justify the price.

   Wow. What a major disappointment for the price point. Creamed spinach had so much dill in it. It was overpowering and inedible. Hash browns ... shaped like a smaller version of McDonalds and awful. Bone marrow was basically tomato and onions. Steak came out in a cold cast iron skillet, which was supposedly 42 ounces to share for 3 ... but there is no way that could have been the case. Wine and cocktails overpriced compared to other steakhouses in Manhattan. The only positives were the service, which was impeccable, and the dining room was impressive. So many better choices for the price point throughout area. I recommend you pass on this one.

   Food is excellent but pricey. Everything is a la Carter even the bread and sauce.

   Unfortunately all of our steaks (3 steaks total) were not cooked well. The medium rare was rare, the medium was medium well. The sauces however were delicious and so were our appetizers and the dessert…especially the sticky toffee pudding!

    You guys rock!!!!!!!!! This place is incredible, the ambience, the service incredible cocktails, and delicious food. Absolutely everything about this is a stunner. I’m very tempted to try to brown butter wash some bourbon here at home ….
