   I invited four friends to join me at Hawksmoor NYC, specifically, for the Sunday Roast, the traditional English Sunday dinner. Every person involved in the service was friendly, efficient, pleasant, and, even, enthusiastic. We all ordered the Sunday Roast, which was served with Yorkshire pudding, glazed carrots, roasted potatoes, and cabbage. We requested the sides of cauliflower, bone marrow, and roasted garlic cloves. The presentation was beautiful. The meal was lovely, though, two of the five people felt the rump roast was a little tough. I must give a shout out about the desserts! We ordered the toffee pudding, toffee sundae, cheesecake, and a chocolate concoction that was like an amazing Snickers bar. We LOVED the desserts! We were given plenty of time to enjoy our meal, as well as visiting time afterward. We all said we would be happy to return.

   We went for a traditional English Sunday supper. The food was good, but we were disappointed that it was not up to the standard of any of the London locations. In addition, my husband always orders iced tea at restaurants, which is typically refillable. Their iced tea, even though non-alcoholic, came from the bar, in a tiny glass with lots of ice, and was $9. My husband needed to order 3 to get enough to drink. They charged us $27 for three tiny glasses of iced tea!

   The Sunday Roast with all of the trimmings and complemented with a ribeye steak and a porterhouse fed our table of 7 perfectly. Highly recommended.

   My guests loved it and want to return. Some unique dishes such as oysters with bone marrow, creative cocktails, atmosphere that does remind you of the original in London.

   Great atmosphere amazing service our waiter Joseph so helpful explaining the menu the food was over the top super fresh delicious prep the right way we had the porterhouse steak scallops to die for and oysters so goooood we can’t wait to go back

   When I arrived, 2 hosts couldn’t find my reservation right away until a host step in and recognize my reservation. The waiter was never engaging and a few times I wanted to ask him about the menu he was nowhere around our table area. Nice ambience though…

   Came here on June 2nd for my friends bday. Normally we go to Wolfgang’s but I picked something new. The appetizer were 8/10 for the price, great oysters but underwhelming steak tartare and bone marrow, tartar had no flavor and was compromised with a heavy dose of parmigiana…meh.. marrow way too salty, whole table agreed. Ok onto why I’ll never come here again, four guys were willing to spend $1k+ on dinner, a server hit our bottle of wine ($120) which dumped all over my friend. The server did he best, however did not alert our waiter or manager of half a bottle of wine tipping over and falling on my friend, he did his best and brought club soda and napkins. So this incident happens, which was significant, no one addresses it, my friend goes to bathroom. Finally our waiter asked how things are going, we just look at him and are like “really?” The fact we were about a $1k check already in an NO one came to address us was insulting, we let him hear our grievances which initially felt falled on deaf ears. As good friends do, we waited 20min as our steaks sat on the table for our friend to finish scubbing his shirt in the bathroom. The manager tried to rectify the situation with comping our wine and comping our first round. NO, which anyone knows about a 3x mark up. this was a significant screw up and we had to escalate with staff vs proactive response. Management was reasonable when they realized how bad they fudged up and remedied the situation. To be honest I appreciate the effort but I will never come here again or tell anyone to either, the fact we had to explain and negotiate was insulting.

    Beautiful food beautiful experience. It’s not cheap so be prepared but it’s not cheap for a reason. The food is perfection. The marrow bone oysters were our favourites. Eating at hawksmoor is not just a meal out it is a full experience and shouldn’t be done in a hurry.

    Food was good but steak came out cold. Seemed to have been prepared and most likely sat for quite some time. Same with the rest of the food which would’ve been great if delivered to our table in a timely manner. Service was friendly but not very attentive. We had to request food that we had ordered previously multiple times as though it was never actually noted properly to begin with by the waiters. Great atmosphere and space, but thinking Hawksmoor needs to staff more servers for the number of tables. When I’m spending nearly $1200 for a group of 4 people, I expect much better service

    This is the perfect Steak restaurant offering the best of British in the heart of New York! Perfect Yorkshires and Potted Beef ! An excellent ribeye with great sides such as spinach and Mac and cheese! Excellent friendly service from Randi and a very pleasant Sommelier. The Shakey Pete was outstanding

    I love the hawksmoor restaurants in London and was excited to try their Sunday roast, a hard find for an English person living in NY! However the roast was fairly average. Meat was chewy and potatoes dry. Maybe it was towards the end of service however we just didn’t feel the food was worth the price tag. Also no vegetarian roast or alternative which was a shame for the veggie in our party. Server and service was great and the restaurant itself is beautiful, just a shame about the food. Would maybe return to try the steak but would skip the roast all together.

    Excellent starter ( pork belly) and steak.. slightly disappointing amount of actual flesh on the lobster. Very nice and professional waitress.

    Beautiful food in a beautiful room with great service. Obviously it’s going to be a pricey meal but even with a couple of drinks and appetizers and sides (and the steak, of course) it was still not quite $150 each. Well worth every penny these days. Highly recommend!

    Beautiful room; cocktails for $20 but half-full glasses; wait staff all looked like they just fell out of bed or had come directly from the gym without showering; food OK, but I've had better steaks at chains such as Capital Grill and Ruth's Chris. Ladies' room garbage pail overflowing with dirty paper towels.

    Based upon the reviews that I read, I expected more from Hawksmoor. The waiter was adequate, but disappeared on us. The steak was tough, and the drinks were less than expected. There are too many excellent restaurants for us; no need to settle. I was honestly disappointed.

    It was a nice evening, we waited far too long for our dinner ( more than an hour) but the waiter invited us for the dessert , which was very sweet. We loved the food, wine card is ok, very expensive. Overall it is an outstanding restaurant with a high noise level.

    Room is a little loud but beautiful. Steak was solid but didnt blow my mind. Drinks were solid… choice of tumblers/glasses is a little off but all in all was a nice night out.

    I sat on the bar. The bartender was 12/10. Attentive, professional and very pleasant. I had a special margarita made to order by my taste and it was perfect. The food - I took scotch bonnet oysters - superb. I also had the cheeseburger which was very mediocre and was a disappointment. In Hawksmoor terms it was poor. Small and quite dry patty. Couldn't even taste/feel the bone marrow. First timer in NYC - had a lot of great meals in London.

    We came here for the ambience, and it was unique and beautiful. Food tasted great. Service was good. There were so many tables/guests/servers that it didn’t feel as intimate as I prefer. Apparently there’s no som, and the wine list is largely European. Even though we were able to taste before choosing, it was disappointing

    The service and atmosphere of Hawksmoor are fantastic. Energetic but spacious. The food was good but nothing special or that we would come back for. Glad we went to check if off the list but won't be returning.

    what a delightful evening! we were greeted in the bar by kerrigan, whom was hospitable & engaging! the sour cherry negronis & ruben nuggets are delicious! the meal and service were spot on! bone marrow, rib eye perfectly prepared, sides fantastic! kerrigan looked in on us through out the meal and offered us port with our desserts in celebration of our anniversary! simply a wonderful evening! we will be back for sunday roast! thank you!

    Stylish interior, friendly but very slow service. Steaks are good, but not competitive to other first class NYC steak houses, especially when considering the price point for the meat ($176 for a 32oz Porterhouse). Go to Keens instead!
