    Excellent food, attentive service and house red was very good too. Would be good if some acoustic panels were used to help with reverb and noise levels as hearing your companion was difficult at times.

    The restaurant is beautiful, the whole room is full of character with lots of tables but plenty of privacy. The staff are very helpful and very friendly. Our waitress was particularly knowledgeable about the menu offering advice but also asking questions about food we liked and disliked to enable us to make a proper choice. The food arrived just at an appropriate time, not too long but not too quickly either. The waiter who delivered the food to our table knew who was eating what without having to ask us. The wine and the water was kept regularly topped up without us asking. It was our anniversary and our son had arranged champagne for the table. My dessert had Happy Anniversary written in chocolate which was a nice touch too.

    Service fabulous and food delicious, will return. We had the scampi to start and the porter house steak 700g to share with sides of creamy spinach and triple cooked chips. Clean plates, no complaints cooked to perfection.

    Enjoyed our visit and meal very good. Our bill was just over £340 for four. There was an option on gratuity of 12.5% and did feel that £43 was excessive.

    We came for our anniversary and were presented with complimentary Scallops which were a nice surprise We then went for a (very standard but very delicious) Steak with Chips and Creamed Spinach which was really good followed by a shared yummy chocolate dessert My wife drank 2 vodka cocktails and I washed it all down with 500ml of Rioja A lovely evening and the bill was not eyewaterinw although this is at the higher end of the market

    We walked past and decided to book the restaurant in Edinburgh, it was our anniversary and they made us feel really welcome, friendly lady at the front, all staff was friendly and lovely our waiter he was great, food was amazing and all looked great. Would 100 percent come bacb.

    It was my husbands 50th and we were made to feel special. There was no hurry for us to choose, the staff were incredibly attentive without being overbearing and when it was time for dessert the whole restaurant sang. It made his day! I missed that service was included so added a tip and the server pointed out that we were being too generous. Testament to the quality of the restaurant. Food was sublime as always. Fantastic experience, you should be proud of your staff.

    We sat in the back section and the staff were setting up for a wedding all around us. We had gone for a birthday celebration and this spoiled the ambiance of the place. The steak was very good but the sides were just average, nothing special at all. Drinks are expensive, £7+ for a CAN of beer! That’s a rip off. Service was good and attentive.

    Hawksmoor was wonderful. The building they were housed in was a former financial building with a rendering on the back of the menu of the building plan. I had the ribeye and my husband the filet. Meat seasoned just right and the coal fire they were cooked on added to the wonderful experience. My husband had a Cesar salad and mashed potatoes and gravy, all excellent. I had the creamed spinach,best I ever had. Wine list was extensive and the glass I had was a rose and very good. To top the meal off we had a peanut butter shortbread with ice cream. Cookie was warm, soft and had a strong peanut butter taste. This could possible have been the best dessert I have ever eaten. Highly recommend Hawksmoor.

    Very nice steak house. My sirloin was perfectly prepared, medium rare yet great char on outside. Wife had veggies wellington and enjoyed it. Rebecca our server was outstanding, helpful, patient and attentive. Easy to recommend.

    Everything exceeded expectations, we visited following a tiktok recommendation and was not disappointed. I will not get over the food anytime soon, so bloody delicious. Staff were really attentive and knowledgeable, great service.
