    Service was very good and our waiter was both knowledgeable and friendly. The food was excellent. We enjoyed the surroundings and we didn’t feel rushed. It was my first time to visit and I will definitely be back.

    Food was nice, we both had steak and beef dripping chips. However, very overpriced and the waitress didn’t understand what we were saying and had to check twice if they had food in stock. Probably wouldn’t go again but a nice treat.

    Excellent dinner service that exceeded expectations. It was perfect from the moment I walked in to when I left. I had a bone marrow starter, medium rare rump for a main with peppercorn sauce, and mac and cheese as a side. Portion size and quality were exceptional. The interior was gorgeous. It's the perfect setting for occasions :)

    We went for the express menu. Basically if you eat before six there is a special menu. My husband had the baked sea bream. He loved the fish but would not order again as he spent the whole time taking bones out of his mouth, it comes with the head on. I had the steak. Quite small portion for both chips and steak and my steak was over cooked. Fish is served on its own so extra 12 euro to add some sides. Wine is expensive by the glass too. I will try again bit only if I am going for more expensive cuts and I am not on a budget

    Wonderful experience we thoroughly enjoyed. From the warm welcome at the door to the great cocktails and dinner service - every staff member we encountered was utterly delightful. We really enjoyed the food and the lovely atmosphere in this beautiful space. We look forward to coming back. We didn't have steak on this occasion but the burger, chicken, sides, starters and deserts we had were all delicious and portions generous. Option to bring our own wine for a small corkage fee was a bonus too. Thanks to all at Hawksmoor

    We had the most amazing Sunday roast. The beef was cooked to perfection and the best stuffing as a side. Very reasonable for the quality of food we had. The service from start to finish was exceptional. Given how busy it was you wouldn't have known by how calm the staff and the atmosphere were.

    Fourth time being at Hawksmoor, unfortunately the service was a bit all over the place and two of the steaks were given to the wrong people, one of which was a blue steak. Upon letting the waitress know we were given two of the four Irish coffees on the house but there wasn’t much of an apology. Lots of different staff were waiting on our table which may have been why the communication fall down. The monkfish and Sunday roast were good but service seems to have dropped since the last time.

    We had the Sunday roast which was perfectly cooked topped off with sticky toffee pudding. The servers were extremely nice but not too pushy. This was our second trip and loved it even more. The cherry negroni sour was amazing. This is our new favourite place

    This was my second visit, the first shortly after the restaurant opened and I put stuff down to teething problems which should have been worked out by now, but haven’t been. So, in no particular order: Hawksmoor is expensive and is a treat night for most people and they dress accordingly. So it’s a bit surprising to find the staff so casually dressed. It’s completely at odds with the venue. The one staff member who does seem to make an effort with his appearance really stood out! Apart from the incongruity with venue, it means that it’s very difficult to identify who the staff actually are. There doesn’t seem to be any system in terms of what staff are allocated to any table, so you don’t have a specific server to communicate with. We had a stream of different staff to begin with - and then there was nobody. Literally nobody. Once we had finished our main course and the dessert menus were dropped, not a single staff member approached us to ask if we’d like anything else. We gave up trying to find someone and went to the bar to ask for another drink. I finished my glass of wine, had just put it on the table and a hand came over my shoulder to take the glass away. No, ‘can I get you anything else?’. Bizarre. At about 10.30pm, the temperature in the room dropped and there was a cold breeze coming from the aircon. We were freezing and noticed diners at other tables pull on coats and wraps as well. The food was good but not great. We ordered a Chateaubriand medium and what came out was rare. We sent it back and fresh sides were brought out which was nice, but a steakhouse shouldn’t undercook to that extent. We were there for a friends Christmas night out which ended up just being a huge disappointment. Between the cold and the lack of service - we spent so much time looking for someone/trying to catch someone’s attention that our night had no flow and we went home much earlier than intended. We won’t be back. Too many better option!

    Firstly the building is absolutely gorgeous inside, we were greeted and asked to take a seat while our table was being prepared ( it was 5.00pm). We sat down were given a glass of water and i had to ask for the wine list. Literally 5 mins later were were brought in, i don't understand why we weren't brought straight in as there was loads of tables free for 2. We were torn between to wines which i asked for a sample of and the sommelier was very accommodating. We chose our wine which was very nice but WAY overpriced !!!! €52 Euro for a bottle of Malbec. We shared our starter ( Beef Ribs ) which was tasty but came out cold. We got over that as we were excited about the main. We asked the waiter how big are the portions as we were undecided about what to chose. She recommended 3 sides so we were like perfect. We ordered Fillet Steaks, Chips, Creamed Spinach and Parsnip Puree with Bacon.Steaks came out.. i couldnt cut mine......... for a fillet steak.... it was one of the worst pieces of meat i had been presented with AND EVERYTHING WAS COLD. We debated weather to say something but we had to for the price. We work too hard for nice things and to get rubbish in return. Waitress cam over i said i cant cut my steak its so tough and its cold. She said no problem and said she would bring fresh sides. My wifes steak was cold too but i just said eat away. A new steak came out... it was grand.. not what i was expecting from this restaurant ... still not mouth watering fillet. No fresh sides came out with it. The waitress did ask but at this stage i was staving and just wanted to move on. I think the kitchen is too far away and seems the food was just left sitting there getting colder.The sides of fries was a disgrace for the price it wasnt enough for 2.And all other sides were cold. Pepper corn sauce was watery and tasteless. It was hard to see who worked there and who didn't as the dress code for staff is casual and they just seemed to do their own thing.

    We have previously dined on Edinburgh which was just as good. We managed to nab a last minute space at 9:15pm as we had to leave another steakhouse in Dublin. Thank god we found this reservation!! We arrived a 10 minutes early so sat at the bar which was great to watch them make the cocktails. We did wait a 20 mins after our reservation to get to our table but that was quickly forgotten about when we got our food. We love a sharing steak and are big eaters so went for the Chateubriand for 2 (600g) with creamed spinach and sauces and fries. It’s not cheap of course but the best meal we have had in a long time! If we’re ever back to Dublin we will be back 🥰

    Great ambience, food and wine. Very knowledgeable, professional and helpful sommelier, Sinéad. Finn our server was very attentive and welcoming. A very pleasant and enjoyable evening in Hawksmoor. We’ll be back.

    Had a wonderful time celebrating my partner’s birthday here. The staff from start to finish were all extremely helpful and helped us to celebrate a special occassion. Steak was 10/10 and all sides were seasoned well. We will definitely be returning!!

    Had a drink in the bar first, it was freezing and we had to keep our coats on. Cocktails were great and service was very friendly. The restaurant was much more comfortable, fabulous room, nice atmosphere. The food was good but not blow your socks off which we were hoping for. I am not a big steak person so had a burger as there was no lobster available. The burger was very basic, bun was cold and only cheese was sheep’s cheese or blue cheese, how hard is it to offer cheddar? The wine was excellent but my companions found several of their dishes very salty. Our biggest issue was with our server, she was not overly friendly and after paying the bill and leaving her a very decent tip, we decided to stay at the table and have a nightcap which she refused as she said the bar was closed. It was not, it was exactly 11.25 p.m., and luckily another server (a lovely Ukrainian Lady) took care of us and served us our nightcaps. THis really does not encourage us to return unfortunately. There are many great restaurants in Dublin who do appreciate our business, we spent over 700 euro and were very courteous but were really not made feel very valued or welcome.
