   Service staff not at the level for paying 5 star prices and venue. Never got the feeling that I was in a fine dining establishment

   As always all was grand! Food was amazing, the service outstanding and overall Hawksmoor is a place where we really enjoy and always we want to come back

   Booked last minute for my husbands 50th but had looked at this restaurant for a while. The good reviews and range of the menu attracted us. We shared the mixed grill and were given complementary bread and olives while we waited. Food was amazing, service great and considering the amount and quality of the food, the value was good too. Would recommend and would go back. The restaurant is housed in a beautiful building with stunning Architecture, the main dining area has a brasserie feel and the atmosphere is good. Felt like a fine dining experience but with hearty food.

   I had heard how good the food was here, I was not disappointed! The steaks were incredible! I chose from the express menu which was excellent value. The starters were delicious and the bone marrow was singled out as superb. The attentive waiter was knowledgeable and provided great advice on wine and which steaks my companions might prefer. The chips (not fries) that accompanied the great steaks also deserve a mention as they were the best any of us had ever tasted before. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the presenting of a birthday treat with a little candle was a nice touch. The surroundings are beautiful, the building is an historical gem. Now that we have found Hawksmoor, we will be back..as soon as possible.

   I ate a fillet steak, chips, spinach, mushrooms and bone marrow sauce. Everything was delicious. This was followed by sticky toffee pudding (no clotted cream as I don’t like that) I had salted caramel ice cream, this was to die for. Staff all very attentive and friendly. Restaurant buzzing on a bank holiday Monday. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
