Welcome to Hawksmoor Chicago, our biggest and boldest steakhouse yet, located in the iconic LaSalle Powerhouse in River North. Sundays at Hawksmoor are all about our Sunday Roast: all-natural, dry-aged, slow-roasted Rump served with crispy beef dripping potatoes, Caraflax cabbage and carrots, gigantic Yorkshire puddings, lashings of bone marrow & onion gravy and the option for a side of cauliflower cheese or slow-roasted bone marrow and onions. Sunday Roast dates back to the 15th century where large joints of meat were roasted on a spit over an open fire; to achieve a similar flavor, we start ours on our charcoal grill and finish them in the oven. Many who've had a Sunday Roast equate it to a Thanksgiving dinner – a comforting, filling meal that is best in the company of loved ones. And, should a Bloody Mary, or two, be consumed alongside it, who are we to judge?

It’s a simple concept: bring any wine you like – doesn’t matter if it’s a first-growth Bordeaux or a bottle of Barefoot – and we’ll only charge you $10 corkage (for up to two bottles). Not sure what to buy? Take a stroll over to our neighbors at the Aqua Wine & Spirits store (they’re literally on the other side of the street) and they’ll help you choose something to make your meal pop. You can even call us ahead of time and ask one of our somms what they suggest.

I’m 61 years old. I’ve eaten A LOT of meals in my life, but I can say without reservation that last night’s dinner was one, if not the best meal I’ve ever eaten! Everything from the Chateaubriand to the Creamed Spinach was perfectly and uniquely seasoned. Even the simple dressing on the Boston Lettuce salad was delicious!

We had a great night last night. The atmosphere is very British Mid-Century Modern. The food was amazing. From the hosts, all the way to our server, the service was fantastic. It was a great way to celebrate my birthday. I would definitely recommend Hawksmoore to anyone looking for a swanky evening set in London during the 1960's;thats the vibe.

Superb menu, starting with the house cocktail list (a Mallort Martinez!), the starters (bone marrow oysters!!) and beautifully executed steaks and chops with a variety of interesting sauce options. Sides, mashed potatoes with port sauce, mushrooms and such are very good, if a bit on the small portion size. Even the dessert list is genuinely interesting. In a city full of good steakhouses, The Hawksmoor truly stands out. I will be back.

The food was delicious, except the steak, which is so weird. the outside was flavorful but the inside lacked luster. The drinks and all the sides were absolutely perfect though

The server got the order wrong three or four times in a row. Sides were overpriced. Bad Bernaise When the mushrooms are the best part of the meal, one cannot endorse a steakhouse. Plate presentation was not beautiful. Too noisy to talk.

Hawksmoor was an excellent dining experience from start to finish! My party of 3 ordered the scallops to start which were out of this world good. Our steaks were perfectly prepared with wonderful sides shared. The sticky toffee pudding is a must. Our server John was outstanding. He was very attentive throughout our meal without being intrusive. Our glasses were never empty. Well done John! This was our third time dining at Hawksmoor and it’s always a 10 for 10!

We’ve had the Sunday Roast at the Hawksmoor in London and in New York. This was very underwhelming. The Bloody Mary was a pale comparison to what we are used to and the Yorkshire pudding was burnt and the broccolini was bitter. I also felt the surroundings were a bit “rustic” for the amount of money being spent. The staff was amazing. Couldn’t have asked for better service.
